The tomatoes I purchased were not ripe; some were mushy on the inside, while others were hard. They lacked the earthy flavor that distinguishes them from their supermarket counterparts and had a waxy texture with no aroma. I also bought cucumbers, which were hard and dry except for the very center. The cantaloupe was acceptable, as was the watermelon section. Millville will be the next area I explore, as there are back roads with more options. I was extremely disappointed.

The surprise item I found there was at a poultry vendor. They make their own all natural ground dog food. $6 for a quart, and my daughter's dog loved it.. I likely won't be down that way again until Spring. But I will make a day out of it by stopping in the zoo and the nearby lake.
