Imagine a completely underwhelming flea market experience, with a large area of empty tables occupied by a small handful of people selling their yard sale leftovers. This sums up my trip to the Vineland Flea Market. I came here on a Friday, approximately an hour after they opened, so it was not as if I was arriving while vendors were still setting up. The weather was fine, so that's no excuse for it being so desolate. There are many better flea markets in the area with a much better selection than what I saw. Frankly, a dollar store on its last day of a going-out-of-business sale has a better selection than what I saw here. read more

When you google "What To Do In Vineland" - not much pops up. We happened to be staying at a little cabin down the road at Parvin State Park for a few nights. We lucked out that one day was just beautiful in late November, so after a little lovely walk, we googled what else we could do while we were in the area. Decided to give this place a shot. The fruit and veg vendors had some great offerings, and I got a pint of persimmons for under $3. If you are a fan of flea markets, you'll find all the usual here, from used goods (you can always tell when someone's grandma died and they are purging everything from their house) to Mexican good - anybody need a blanket for the beach? They had some food trucks if you wanted a taco or horchata. Parking was plentiful and easy. read more

This flea market has changed so much from when I used to come here with my mother in my younger days. It used to be packed with your average Joe looking to maybe make a buck off something he doesn't use anymore, wheeling and dealing was the name of the game with the potential of finding a hidden gem. Today, however, the flea market is filled with small stores that offer to clothes,, cell phone accessories and toys at market value, no wheeling and dealing here you'll pay full price or leave it where you found it. In one instance I found an item the fella wanted $16 for it, when I offered him $9 for it he was completely applauded and took offense to it. When I showed him the same item brand new on the companies site was $12 he told me " go buy it there then". Not a problem I said and away I went. In another instance, I found an old fire extinguisher bass or copper and I offered a fair price considering his price was way up there and the guy told me he rather scrap it than sell it for my offered price. Why would someone rather destroy an old item that you don't see to many of anymore because you can get an extra $15 out of it, no one reuses things anymore and tons of good old history is going to the scrap yards and dumps. The art of the flea market is gone just like the online flea markets like eBay and now the Facebook marketplace and others. They've all turned into stores run by online retailers and have lost their way when it comes to people selling off junk or unwanted items for cheap. If you're looking for overpriced fruits, vegetables, knock-off clothing, or neatly factory packaged toys that may or may not have "fallen" off the back of a truck come visit the vineland flea market or should I say side street strip mall. read more

Came here on a Sunday in conjunction with a VW car show in the way back. Lots of things to look at. Many things to buy that you don't need. Lol. Fresh produce priced attractively. Free parking. Free entrance. Some venders sell commercial stuff (pants, electronics, dvds) and many yard sale like tables. A lot don't is shaded which is nice. Also, it's easy to pull your car around it you get something big from one of the tables. I recommended it. read more

This flea market is quickly becoming one of the better flea market compared to the others in the area. You can find everything here like most flea markets. Random things like fishing gear, assorted candy, bootleg sneakers, car audio parts, groceries?, toys, local fruits n veggies, peoples old clothes, and so much more. My son loves all the cheap toys there. I actually bought an Apple iBook G4 laptop here a couple months ago from here for $200 and he was asking $300!! And its still working jus fine by the way. Its open only on the weekends til 4pm. Sometimes you could walk through and not buy anything and other days you could literally spend every dime in your pocket. Its a great alternative if you cant make it to Cowtown (the KING of all flea markets, stay tuned for that review coming soon). The food is pretty good here too, they have a spanish truck, and also a cheeseburger/fries type truck too. If for no other reason its a nice little walk through, who knows you might find a steal. read more

This is great little flea market that is easy to get in and out of without losing too much time. Like most flea markets, what you'll find depends on the day, but there is a great selection most days. One thing that you can purchase consistently is local produce, which is priced much better than the supermarkets. The flea market also provides a great service to the area. We used the flea market to unload the remains of a spring time yard sale, and made a pretty decent profit on a Saturday morning. read more

I avoided this place for the first number of years I lived in the area. I finally made the trip a few years ago. It was better than I expected, but it is still a flea market, which isn't really my speed. I have seen a lot of junk here. The one thing that gets me to go if my wife suggests we head over is that there is usually someone selling fresh vegetables. They are usually in very good shape and less expensive than the market. So while Gert seeks junk, I load up on the healthy stuff. read more

I think this is a great flea market. Like mentioned earlier, easy to get in and out, and great selection of products (old and new), food, and produce. I always get great deals. Most times you can haggle for a lower price (I got an awesome paper shredder for $20, and they were asking $28 for it, cheapest price for same shredder online was $65). A word of advise: ALWAYS count your change! One of the produce booths (the one in the center, towards the right looking from Delsea Drive, usually has about 3 or 4 tables) shorted me $7.00. I bought $3 worth of fruit, I gave the lady a $20 and I realized later that she only gave me $10 back (I know this because I always keep my "flea market money" in a different pocket. And who is going to believe me once I walked away. Other than that one bad experience, in three years, this is a good market with mostly friendly, honest vendors. read more
