I attempted multiple times to handle a serious issue privately and professionally involving equipment stolen and seen using it on FB post etc. When I arrived with law enforcement to try and verify the equipment, the business owner refused to cooperate or allow the officer to view it, despite the situation potentially being resolved very quickly through simple transparency. As someone who depends on this equipment for work, the lack of concern and accountability was extremely disappointing. What was even more concerning to me was the company's continued support of an employee "with multiple and recent DV and theft charges" despite repeated issues and complaints surrounding his conduct. Instead of helping resolve the matter professionally, I was met with denial and resistance. I have documented conversations, screenshots, photos, and other evidence connected to this situation and will continue pursuing the proper channels. I believe businesses should operate with honesty, professionalism, and accountability, and unfortunately that was not my experience here.

I just purchased a home in Brooklyn and I needed to have a couple trees removed. I called a few tree removal services. Three of them were disconnected phone numbers and three responded relatively quickly. Ryan was the first and he gave me a what I thought was a good price that I agreed to. He said he'd do it for less if I paid cash (first red flag) while I appreciated it, I asked if I paid full price if he could get it done quickly to which Ryan agreed. We agreed on the following Friday which was only a few days later. Friday came and I hadn't heard from Ryan by 1230 (as promised) so I called him and he said he text me twice and left me a voicemail, but hadn't heard from me. I'm not sure what he was allegedly waiting for since we previously agreed he was coming Friday for sure. (second red flag) The problem that came up as his story evolved was that my voicemail has been full for several years. I don't use it, and I had been texting other people all morning so i know the old story that I didn't get the voicemail or text messages he sent simply isn't true. I checked my phone history while I was on speaker phone with him. None of my texts were from him. (red flag number 3) When I asked him if they were still coming he said they "already knocked off for the day" (at 1230 on a Friday) and they could come next week, I have no idea why he would say he tried to reach me three times when he and I were the only people in the conversation. He had to know I knew he wasnt telling the truth. Last important point is that he said he'd email me a copy of the our quote and proof of his insurance and I never received that either. (Fourth red flag). Yes I checked my spam and trash email boxes. It never came. So Ryan was unable to reach me via phone, text (twice) and email?!? The summary is that Ryan was quick to give me a quote, quick to make promises about the work but slow to show up and perform. It was extremely hot that day so if that was the real reason-just say that. He never mentioned that. Instead he chose to make up a story that I KNEW wasn't true. It was insulting besides being inconvenient. I took the day off of work to be available and look where it got me.

He left us with a large pile of wood, several large limbs and a 30-foot "stump." After a few weeks, with several different plans on when and how he would complete the elm removal and clean up, Ryan ultimately stopped responding to our messages. We made the great mistake of paying Ryan before the job was complete. Don't make our mistake.

I still don't have an answer after many follow-ups. On the day of stump grinding, we waited around all Saturday and they never showed up. I called and emailed to ask about timing, but no response. The grinder was called away unexpectedly, which happens, but we were never contacted and I had to proactively ask why this was and when they would be coming. No apologies given as they said they don't monitor the phone over the weekend (despite the website saying 24/7 responses). Finally, they trimmed a red oak and didn't mention anything about fatal oak wilt fungus. Apparently if you trim between April and July you should always seal the wound immediately, which other arborists have since told me. This was never mentioned to us and our tree was not sealed so is now at risk for this disease.

Chad Fox, owner of Professional Tree Care LLC, came to my home to give me estimates on trimming a…read moretree. I also showed him an ugly massively overgrown plant and a large overgrown shrub on the south side of my house, along my property line, that I wanted removed. After I received his estimates, a date was set for the work. His crew was due to arrive at my home between 3-4 p.m. and arrived at 4:30 on a Friday. After the tree trimming, one of the men came to my front door and showed me a paper that Chad Fox had given to him. There was a color photo taken from the NORTHEAST corner of my lot. The photo showed part of my garage, part of the sidewalk leading to my front door, and the lawn in front of my house. Above the photo was typed: "All shrubs" and the description: "Ground clean up". There are NO "shrubs", nothing but lawn, in front of my house to "clean up"!!! The worker was confused. I showed him the overgrown plant and shrub on the SOUTH side of my house, along my property line, that I had shown to Chad. It was almost 5:00 and the crew quickly took care of the plant and shrub. So quickly that they left twigs and leaves on my neighbor's lawn!!! I watched through a window and saw the mess. When the worker came to get my check, I told him that the mess had to be cleaned up before they left. He told me they would take care of it. Five minutes later, the entire crew and both trucks were gone, but the mess on my neighbor's lawn was still there!!! I immediately called the office, but it was after 5:00 so I left a voice recording about the neglected cleanup. I received a call from Chad Fox's office Monday morning to tell me that "they would be over sometime today" to take care of the mess they had left behind on the neighbor's lawn. It's been five days and NO ONE has yet shown up!!! I am posting this because I am a single senior citizen woman who is still healing from heart surgery done less than a year ago AND because I paid Chad Fox the SAME amount of money for a 10-minute job done by 2 men that I paid for 4 men to trim my tree AND because Chad Fox failed to give his crew the correct information for their work at my house AND because Chad Fox's crew chief lied to me about the crew cleaning up the mess AND because Chad Fox's office failed to send a crew, as they promised, to clean up their mess! If Chad Fox didn't want the job of removing the plant and shrub, he should have said so when he was at my house!!! Chad Fox owns this company and only Chad Fox is fully responsible for the quality, good or bad, of his employees' work!
