I also saw a couple rifles that I was interested in and planned to return to check out. The bad: The woman that checked us out accused us of trying to steal from her and was rude! I bought 2 boxes of the ammo. The lady told us the total was $65.89. I handed her a $50 bill and $1 bill. I watched my wife pull out a $10 bill and a $5 bill. Total of $66. The lady took the money and placed it in the drawer. Then asked if we wanted to put the rest on a card. We told her what we gave her and she argued that we still owed $4.89. She then stated that she should have left the money out. She opened the drawer and pulled out four bills and said that they were what we gave her. She pulled out a $50, a $10, a $5, and a $1. This totals $66 based on the math my wife and I were taught. She still argued that we didn't give her enough. Then all of a sudden she slammed the drawer closed and shoved the ammo at us very rudely and walked away. We tried to talk to her to make sure we weren't wrong but she threw her hand up and wouldn't talk any more. This on top of not giving us our 11 cents change or a receipt. (The change was not the issue). This is so heartbreaking because she accused a law enforcement officer of trying to steal. This disturbed my wife more than the fact of the possibility that she might have not given the correct amount. So sad that there are adults in America that can't count money and yet be rude. Even when they have the evidence in their hands. Another reason for the low review is because the State of Alabama is under Mandatory mask order yet all the employees chose to not wear masks. Being a survivor of Covid that is still out on disability, this is troubling. The mask is not for their safety, it is for their customers safety. This would not have been mentioned and the store would have gotten a review with 5 stars except for the negative experience with the lady. Update: before I could finish this review, my wife realized that she had lost her phone. We were already at another store down the road. I called her number and the gentleman answered from this pawn shop. When we returned, the lady that checked us out came out with my wife's phone and apologized and wanted to speak to my wife. My wife did not want to interact with this employee any further. While all people make mistakes and should be forgiven, ignorance and being rude is something that is not tolerable. We really liked the variety that this location offered. But based on our experience, we will not be returning to this establishment.

The only thing I didn't like was the baked goods. I purchased a sourdough. It had caraway which is similar to rye and I do not like rye. I did however like the croissants I purchased but on the flip side the five cookies were meh. So more was bad than good. The other vendors I purchased from were wonderful. Eggs, bone-in pork chops, ground beef , dog treats (chicken claws) three types of greens, arugula, Bibb and romaine, and a frozen chicken were some of the things I purchased. I did notice only one vendor had fruit, strawberries, which sold out quickly. The next time I go I hope there is more to choose from. I will definitely return.

In about 3 days they let me know it was ready. Sean very kindly explained that there wasn't anything "wrong" with it, it was set up for a rolled hem foot and I was trying to overlock with it. After I stared blankly at him he showed me how to tell the difference and told me to just change the foot to an overlock foot and it would be good to go. Upon arriving home and discovering to my horror that I had no overlock foot, I called back and asked if they sold them or could tell me where to find one. Sean again explained that the machine was very old and they no longer made parts for it, but he would look around and see if he could find an extra in his stuff. Sure enough, he called me back to let me know that he did have one and would be happy to check that it fit. So 9 minutes and $20 later, I have a working machine that does what I was wanting it to do and a deep appreciation for Sewing Machine Mart. Sean was so patient and kind even when I felt like an absolute idiot for not knowing anything about this machine. Highly recommend!

Iv literally took donations there and they picked 2 or 3 items and told me "they can't take the rest" because "their dumpster is full".. obviously I wasn't donating trash! On top of the bs there, every time you visit this store you are greeted with a personal shadow that will follow you around the entire store to ensure you are not filling your pockets with their over priced, free to them inventory until you checkout or leave. If you leave without making a purchase they immediately run to the left side window and at least 2 of them stare you down like you robbed the place. Overall I would donate at a place that is much more appreciative and shop somewhere that is welcoming and actually wants you there. The owner and manager of this place are both the upmost rude women I have ever dealt with!

Came here a couple times, once to drop something off for service and once to see what they had to offer for a band student needing a sax. The service area is large and I think heavily geared towards local bands. Staff is very knowledgeable and prices seem reasonable for the services. The instruments they offer cover the spectrum of musical taste. They don't have a ton of one type of instrument (for example electric guitars - they maybe have a dozen or so) but they are good price points covering from beginner to advanced. Staff is all friendly and willing to help out. If they specialize in an area they are quick to make sure they get you with the person that would be the expert in that area, but if they aren't available they are more than willing to help/take care of you. Overall have had nothing but good experiences here and would recommend them to anyone.
