I ended up switching to his office, because my previous primary care provider refused to even consider giving me a prescription to address anxiety issues, even though I had a recommendation from another healthcare provider. Dr. Rodriguez listened attentively and addressed all of my concerns. He really takes his time with each patient. Dr. Rodriguez is now part of the MdVIP program, so we switched to PA Heather and PA Jerry. Heather has been great. She is really good at presenting all of the options available for treatments and even puts stickers on my lab results. Overall, I recommend this office to my friends all the time.

Yes he has a loud voice which I find is just part of his outgoing personality. He always seems happy to see me. I get results faster than any doctor I have ever had. I love the staff they are nice and understanding. They take the time to research and explain and answer any and all questions. The office is old school which is comforting. It is not dry and sterile. It is welcoming. Dr. Ochoa always takes the time to see me personally. Not all doctors do this anymore. I feel I made a great choice and am extremely happy with him.

My wife said she could hear him talking while she was in the waiting room. Most importantly, he is very dismissive and inpatient to your concerns, and opinions. He will override you immediately when you are trying to explain things and he is quick to lecture you as if you don't know yourself better than he does. I've called and left messages of major concerns with their answering service and office personnel and never received a call back. Bottom line, I always feel worse after I leave his office than before I went in. If you have a good sense of self, see someone else.

I came out of his office and had insomnia because he scared me so much with his negative words. Instead of helping me with my high blood pressure, he put the stethscope on my neck and informed me that I was going to have a stroke. I went to see Dr. Talafuse who, after some tests, told me I was just spiking at that moment and I probably suffer from white coat syndrome. This was 11 years ago. I still take my BP weekly, it's still fine, and thanks to Dr. Talafuse I am not taking unnecessary BP medicine. A big thanks right there.

My Daughter has a persistent cough and I think its time to move up from a pediatrician. I explained why I was there and they said they couldn't see my daughter if she was sick. They said that she needed to establish herself as a patient when she was well. WTH!!!!!!! A doctors office that cannot see sick patients? So bizarre I just walked out wondering what they just said. He's had horrible staff during times and good in fact awesome at others. I don't know if the medical care system has changed. I don't know. But months out from appointments means one of two things or both. Either you have too many patients or not enough staff. No matter. And this is kind of common here in San Antonio I've found. Tried to find a doctor taking new patients. 5 months out. THAT is not health care. I can't 'plan' every event with my health 5 months in advance. People get sick and need to see a doctor fairly soon. 'Go to the ER' is the answer. Then the ER gets clogged up to people that really need it. So I just become part of the problem. But for me, for as long as I've been a patient, I don't' care how many patients you have...it's about loyalty and trust me, I've stuck through some bad times there as he's gone through some horrible staff. And I see it. I didn't say anything but I saw the damage being done. I just can't do it. I don't feel like I can accept that for MYSELF. Love the man. He saved my life long ago. Who trains these ppl???? I have been a patient of Dr Tai for about 4 years now. Maybe. Five. Sadly, today was the last day I will ever walk through his doors. His staff just can't get it together which has led to me NOT getting my bloodwork over one year. And boy oh boy have I tried. He has a nurse practitioner that hates my guys and she made it obvious the one time the sent me to her. What a miserable cow. Yes I did. She was so mean to me and just to let you know, I was the only one in line to get bloodwork done yesterday; I told her I'm next and I heard her ask the phlebotomist to let her patient get his bloodwork first done after I had been waiting for 20 minutes. She's a racist in my opinion and an angry angry white woman. . So once again no bloodwork and I wouldn't recommend this dump to anyone. And the phlebotomist isn't kind at all either. She's one of those girls that has a super nasty attitude. Screw then.
