We have a nice dinner with our son and his girlfriend in a weeknight. My son and I ordered the Big Burrito, his with shrimp and mine with chilie verda we both could barely finish then. Both were delicious. My wife ordered the birria tacos and our son's girlfriend ordered the quesabirria. Both raved about how good their meal was. The wait staff was very friendly and took good care of us while we dined. The chips and salsa are freshly made in house along with a nice bean dip. Mama Gorditas is a great addition to the area. Their food is well seasoned with amazing portions! Their service was great - their small location is off the beaten path, but this food is so worth the journey! We decided to try Mama Gordita's Kitchen based off another Yelp review and let me tell you, they were not wrong. This was AMAZING. We ordered the Birria Pizza and it does not disappoint. The gentleman who took our order kindly advised us that this will feed 3-4 people (there were only two of us) and he wasn't wrong. I had two slices and am so stuffed (in the best way). Had one of the best burritos I have ever had. The staff was also very friendly. The town is also adorable.

Loved the service very welcoming and sweet would definitely go back the food and drinks were delicious. Listen don't hesitate just go get it. It's cheesy and meaty and greasy and just straight up delicious. It's in a cute area in Dallas and it feeds 3-4 people so the waitress said.. but clearly she's never met my food partner lol he can EAAAAT! Anyways it's a pretty big size and it's also thick. They're not cheap with the birria meat and they give you 2 salsas 2 consomés (that's broth for my non mexi peeps) both salsas are good and they also give you the toppings to.. as seen on the picture. read more

The chicken enchiladas are a big portion size. This is my second time having them. Rice is excellent and the beans are great too. My enchiladas on both occasions were a little dry. Next time I will just ask for more green sauce. Shredded chicken is plain and on the drier side. I added avocado and salsa at home. So far out of all my visits... the rice is what keeps bringing me back. It is SO good! Looking forward to trying this dish again with more sauce :) read more

We visited Mama Gorditas after noticing its location near the movie theater . We decided to share the mole enchiladas and the pozole soup. The mole was very chocolaty and we ordered 2 additional enchiladas so it was quite a large portion , definitely adequate for 2 people . The pozole was mixed bag - I would have preferred more spice or heat , perhaps they could offer mild, medium and hot choices . I enjoyed it - big chunks of beef and enough to take home as leftover . My husband did not care for the beef would have rather had chicken . The salsa seemed homemade and the server brought us a second round with chips . We noticed after we ordered there was a senior menu which if we return will order from there . The menu is a bit more varied than the run of the mill Mexican food establishment . The server was nice the seating comfortable although there is some type of video game or screen with a video game sound running in the background which detracts from a quiet dinner . Overall it was ok . I've had better pozole due to heat or lack thereof but would get the mole enchiladas again . read more

Had the Empanada lunch which was great, fell in love with them in Argentina and these didn't disappoint. Also ordered a taco with a hand made tortilla which was really awesome. The chicken in the taco had an amazing flavor. Had some of the homemade green salsa which really topped off the taco. Service was excellent. Definitely will be back. read more

The food was delicious and great portions. My wife and I got an Oregon and California burrito. Both did not disappoint. Service was fast and friendly as we got takeout.
