The first thing you notice when you walk in is the beautiful, vibrant decor and the welcoming, atmosphere. The entire restaurant, including the restrooms, is exceptionally clean and well-maintained, which I always appreciate. The staff is incredibly attentive and friendly; they truly make you feel like family. It's also a perfect spot for larger groups, as they have spacious seating and private areas that easily accommodate big gatherings. Best of all, the portions are huge--you definitely get your money's worth and will likely need a to-go box. Dang, I love this place. My boys and I come here often. They love the corn tortillas and I'm big on flour. The chips and salsa are absolutely incredible, and they provide you two kinds automatically; mild and spicy. Love it! I often times get the chili colorado but now and then go for the fajitas. It's always good. Really good. The wait staff are incredible, consistently checking in with refills and more chips and salsa, on request. The food comes out relatively quickly but always tastes fresh, so there's no feel of it being premade. The restaurant itself looks like a typical Mexican restaurant, but isn't that big. Regardless, I've never had to wait for a seat because the staff are very efficient about taking orders, delivering food, and handling everything they need to. The space felt cramped, and the appearance wasn't anything upscale. What really frustrated me was the menu options --there was no way to order an entrée by itself. In my city, I can get a chicken burrito without rice and beans for $6.50-$9, but that wasn't an option here. When we saw the menu prices, we exchanged glances, and were a bit shocked. Two of us ordered drinks (a soda for me), and we shared a single dessert. Even so, the bill came to nearly $100 for four entrées, two drinks, and one dessert. Let me start with the best part.... the part you will (most likely) also start with.... the chips and salsa. I have NEVER had a chip that was more fresh and perfectly crunchy... nor salsa that was so tomato-y and wow!! We had two full baskets of chips and three dishes of salsa! I could drink this stuff!! Hubby ordered the Tres Chiles which was also very good. The pork in the chile was super tender and the relleno he said was great! This place has something to it, it was packed the entire time we were there, both inside and out! But the service was fast and friendly! I did also order a beef taco, because, hello... TACOS! Aside from scorching my mouth to the point I had to inhale cool air to make sure I could swallow it it fall apart a little (hey, don't we all?). It was good, but not great. The churros are not house made, but covered with the right amount of cinnamon and crispiness. The flan, while it is house made, came out covered in strawberry and chocolate sauce with whipped cream - something I have never seen before, and did not care for. The staff was GREAT and attentive. However, I found food so-so. Chips and salsa appear store bought, not brought warm to table. The burrito was ok although I didn't ask for the rice and beans to be inside the burrito: never occurred to me to ask not to do that as I didn't see in menu that it was done that way. Even so, still so-so. For price, didn't think worth it. I'll likely go to La Hacienda in Keizer as I think theirs is great. read more

Update: 2019 - we went in here for lunch and it was terrible. After a few years of coming in here about twice a month, the food and service were just awful. The chimichanga we ordered was under cooked. It was not even fried, and the waitress tried telling us the sauce made it soggy. When we showed her the amount of water that was underneath the side salad we ordered, she just said "okay" and walked off. I understand people have bad days, but the waitress didn't seem to give a shit about the situation and seemed dismissive. After years of coming, we won't be back. read more

We had refried beans, salsa, and tortilla chips to munch on before our meals came. Hubby ordered the Rellenos and really liked it, and my Spinach Enchiladas were wonderful. It was the first time I'd ever ordered them, and I'm hooked! We don't get to Dallas very often, but we'd sure stop here again. The decor is great, service wonderful, and great food.
