Now, one of the unusual things about Busaba were the extremely large square tables. It's like a community style table set up. Since we dined when it wasn't super-busy, we had the table to ourselves. It's an interesting convent, kind of how hibachi tables are set up, only there is no cooking. The food far surpassed my expectations. I had the Tom Ka Soup as an entree and I have to say, this was hands down, the BEST! I enjoyed the Tom Ka here more than I did when I was actually in Thailand. Kind of wild, but that's my take. I also had a delicious mango yogurt drink with my meal that balanced out the spice in the Tom Ka. Overall, a very memorable and delicious meal was had. Orders were mixed up, the yellow curry crab was fishy, the calamari was forgotten and when it came it was overcooked, fishy with a new sauce perhaps intended to hide the off flavor, and just warm enough not to be called cold. Even the beer tasted as if Singha bottles were filled with Budweiser. The waitress may have been new, explaining some of the confusion, and she was very nice. However, the kitchen simply isn't as good as it used to be. Won't be back for a third try.

My friend refused to pay the service charge, and the manager got abrupt but brought us a new bill which was higher than the original. He went away and returned with another wrong bill twice more.
