The area isn't really cluttered like it might seem at first glance, however. Items are organized by type and age range. Needful things for the littlest ones seem to take up the front of the store: Robeez, layette sets and age-appropriate toys. There are things for the bigger kids, too. I've found that all I need to do is ask and I can be shown exactly what I'm looking for. My most recent venture involved a raincoat. The sales associate who helped me was fantastic. She showed me the selection and even offered suggestions in a way that was helpful and without pressure, all while taking into consideration what my preschool age son might like. She even involved him in the process, much to his delight. The prices are reasonable, in some cases even a few dollars less than what you could expect to pay at a bigger store.

Why the two stars? Well, the shopkeeper barely acknowledged our presence the whole time we were there. She went out of her way to ignore us, and did not greet us or smile. After paying for our items, she didn't even thank us. Keep moving on if you wish for any sort of polite interaction or civility.

You can also find more traditional/normal kids clothing items (t-shirts, gloves, hats) but overall Tickled Pink tends to cater to childhood fantasy outfits. The prices are pricey - the one-piece outfits go for around $80 and the princess gowns go for around $60 a piece. But, for the smile that will appear on your daughter's face, it is worth it.

The salesperson was not lazy, called North Face and told us these pants are under warranty. We got a full refund and since they had a sale we got similar pants and a nice refund. That person, by not being lazy saved us a lot of money and won our loyalty

Online orders with the worst customer service. Order online because it's convenient…read more Ordered around $300 in their product In The last few weeks with multiple orders. One item has a rip in it. Their response from customer service is that I need to bring this $5 item to one of their locations to be inspected before I'm provided a refund. In a DONOTREPLY email. Basically they just shut down any online communication when their item is defective even though you ordered through their online site because it's convenient. It's NOT convenient to have to drag my children on a bus to one of your locations to have a shirt inspected. If I wanted that I would have simply shopped in person at your store and inspected the merchandise I was purchasing before bringing it home with me. Now you want me to spend more on bus fair alone than the item is worth, plus my time, plus the frustration of the ordeal simply to have a shirt replaced. No thank you. It will go in the garbage and I will simply scratch you off my list of stores I purchase from. Worst customer service I've ever encountered.

The quality is pretty good for the price that you pay. You can also get maple syrup, ice wine chocolate, plushies, and more. There's a clearance section at the back of the store. A male staffer was talking to his female counterpart about some person who came into the store and caused a disturbance. He made mention of filing a grievance with the police. He then left the store. i had found a t-shirt that I liked. I went to pay for it. The woman at the counter said that it was cash only. There was a payment machine on the counter. Interesting. I let her know that it was unfortunate that it was strictly cash. I put the article of clothing away and left this store. As a tourist, I don't carry a wad of cash on me. As a Canadian, I don't either. It's such a ridiculous restriction placed on tourists and shoppers who want convenience and don't want to handle cash post-pandemic. This store does not have an ATM to withdraw cash. Instead, you need to walk over to Rideau Street to find a bank, figure out how much money you need to withdraw, and head back to this store to make a purchase. Highly inconvenient. If you are dying to make a purchase here, I recommend arming yourself with cash before dropping by. Otherwise, don't come here thinking that you can use a debit or credit card to make a purchase. They also have jewelery by local designers and weird knick knacks like hand puppets of Canadian prime ministers, lol. So funky and weird! This store is more neat, clean and upscale-ish, a la "Yorkville" (Toronto reference) and not like Adorit in the Byward Market (that also carries local and Canadian designs, and some of the same brands, like Miik) which is more, a la "Kensington Market" (sorry, another Toronto reference), but meaning more bohemian and smelling of patchouli. Prices are high, but your getting good quality and supporting the Canadian market.

I really had to control myself, or I would have had an empty wallet when I came out. I did see several dress options, but was tight on time, so I couldn't try anything on. One of the girls working in the store patiently showed me several dresses and answered all my questions about the designers and the store. The people who work here clearly know what they are talking about. It is also great that so many of the designs are by Canadian women! For someone who wants to dress artistically, this is the perfect spot to shop.
