She is an excellent hairstylist. On occasion I have booked with Judy the owner. She is a mediocre hair stylist at best but at least she was not horrible. A month ago I had Judy cut my hair.partly because she got me in sooner than Leza would have. I waited 2 weeks to let the cut grow into an okay cut. But it has never grown out okay. I am now walking around with Dutch boy cut and it sucks. This haircut is the absolute worse cut I have had in 40 years. I called her today and asked her if I could come in and have her fix it. She said no and when I asked why not, her answer was I probably would not be happy with it. When I tried to ask why, she hung up on me! Mind you, I spend about $150 to $200 a year on just products from her store. I have never complained before about anything. Well, I am glad she doesn't need my business because I am officially breaking up with her business. Goodbye Shag. And Leza if you ever leave there, please text me and let me know. I will gladly wait for an appt with you instead of being in a hurry to get a cut or a color. If you decide to get your hair done here, just make sure you book with one of the other girls there.

Well, this is going to be a long review. I went to get a wig styled. I asked for old Hollywood…read morecurls and Judy told me she could do that. I left the wig with her for a week (she said she'd need a week to do it as she was busy with other clients). I communicated twice with Judy over the phone about the wig before I picked it up. The first time I told her I could not come and get the wig yet because I had an emergency that left me unable to go to the salon. The second time I called and told her I was coming to get the wig. She said come on in. Imagine my surprise when I get there and she pulls the wig out of a shopping bag all bunched up, not styled and on a mannequin head like it should have been, and tells me this is all she could do, as the wig did not take to heat styling. The wig does not have Hollywood curls at all, I've attached a photo so anyone can see that the wig looks like it has NO style whatsoever. I have styled synthetic wigs myself, there are alternative methods to heat styling that she could have tried. She's the hairdresser, why do I know this and she doesn't? I communicated with her twice since dropping my wig off. Why didn't she tell me either of those times that she couldn't style the wig? My theory is that she couldn't style the wig but she didn't want to admit she couldn't style it until I physically got to the salon so she could take me off guard and take my money anyway. Which is what she did. Fortunately I mustered up the courage to go back to the salon and ask for a refund. She would not give me a full refund because she said she had spent effort trying to style the wig. I told her I didn't pay for her effort, I paid for her product, and I did not receive the product. No one should have to pay for a service they did not receive. She could have spent 10 hours or 10 minutes on the wig, it wouldn't have mattered to me as long as I got my product. The time she spent "trying" to style it is irrelevant. I didn't get what I paid for, and that's that. Judy was rude when I asked for a partial refund. When I asked for $40 back out of the $65 I gave her, she said "uh, no, $30" in a blunt tone that I was just not expecting. Who treats their customers like that? She then told me that if I had just bought one of her wigs that she sells there that styling it wouldn't have been a problem. What? None of her wigs are the color or length mine is, and none of them are of the same quality. Plus, she never even suggested that when I first showed up at the salon, and instead PRAISED the quality of my wig and confidently assured me she could style it. I think other people who went to this salon and gave it good reviews must be easily satisfied. If you are not easily satisfied and/or expect high quality service from professionals, skip this salon. You will be disappointed. The customer clearly doesn't come first here. Read Julie B.'s review if you'd like another testimony. Judy just wants your money.

She called to confirm our appointment and expressed her worries that I could be a "no show" and needed confirmation since it was a long and expensive appointment. I called and confirmed. I was on time for our appointment at 9:15 and she was late. I had developed brand new allergies that I had forgot to update Janice on. When I told her if my newly developed allergies she somewhat passive aggressively let me know I should have let her know beforehand. However, the allergies are brand new to me and I'm a human that makes mistakes, so I apologize. I expressed my concern and asked if I could see the ingredients of the products she was gonna use and she denied me and let me know "if I don't trust her that this won't work" and I went on to explain I had an epi-pen and where I kept it, just in case she might have to use it, but she interrupted me and didn't seem to care. I think she took my explanation of the epi-pen as an attack but I was just trying to let her know I have for emergencies. She continued with giving me a lecture about how I should inform people about allergies and only stick to one person for facials. I offered to pay a deposit cause I rather of just paid for time wasted then get mansplained to by a women. She denied a payment or deposit. She was unable to get a hold of the company for the ingredients in her products so after an hour I left without any treatment. I'm sure this is a great place if you don't suffer from allergies or autoimmune disease. But if you do, I recommend going somewhere else, I'm not sure they are fully prepared or empathetic. I would have gladly just paid a deposit and been on my way, I do understand time is money and felt bad about the last minute allergy information but much rather have left and paid then wait for so long and have a lecture. It was a cute place and seemed like they have wonderful products just not a place that can handle anything that may come up last minute.
