Called over to see a price on a piece of furniture. An employee named Steve picked up the phone and we had a quick conversation to see the price on the bed (they have this bed in store right in front of the door) and he responded that the sales are over on Sunday's and that they're open till 9pm. Basically, come buy the bed. I didn't have problem with that but I asked him again what the price was without the sale tag and he said I'd have to come point it out to him... Sadly, when your employee can't simply walk over to the bed to check the price, you need to rethink his time there. read more

The service my wife and I received from this store was some of the best we ever received! It is a pleasure to get service was some real professional people. I've been buying My mattresses from Mancinis for over 20 years now. This was my first time into the Gilroy store as I am now in Morgan Hill. Was met by a pretty enthusiastic guy, Alan Huston. I told him I needed a firmer mattress than the one I have since it's lost it's shape and firmness over the last 3 years. So instead of just selling me a new one, he looked up what I had purchased and recommended they send an inspector over to see if mine fell under warranty for defective. I agreed and a week later I had the inspection and sure enough, I was credited the full amount I had paid. Alan has me lie in just about every type of bed they have to make certain I went home with the perfect bed. I was never pressured and he never tried to up sell me. I could not be happier with his customer service and to top it off, the store played some awesome music! read more

I think because of the bad yelp review they called my husband and agreed to do the exchange a little over 2 weeks after the bed was delivered. Much happier with the medium firmness. The firm was fine for a little bit but after an hour or so I'd be sore, the times I was able to make it thru the night my body sounded like a creaky cracky mess in the morning. As far as I know they waived the $100 fee. They should. They should also change their practices so they tell people that before they buy. Shouldn't be finding out about all that on the back of your receipt. Minus a star cause I have 2 scuff marks to fix on my wall. The delivery team on the first time also didn't remove all the plastic corner pieces on the foundation/base...they said to remove. I think this caused the bed to be wobbly. Other than those things the delivery guys were fast, nice, and pleasant. read more

Tried to go in on Wednesday around 5:00 pm. Entered the store and walked around for a while and was greeted by no one. We walked over to the desk area where one employee was on the phone and he didn't even look up at us. He continued to make multiple phone calls and did not acknowledge us. I'm normally not a huge yelper, but the service I received at Mancini's was by far the best I've had in a long time. I came in to buy a new mattress, which is something I know nothing about, except I like soft mattresses, other than that I am completely clueless when it comes to brand, material, number of coils etc. These are all of the things I learned while speaking to Alan, the salesperson I worked with. He's the guy with the big burly beard and even bigger personality, LOL! He was very knowledgable and asked me a lot of questions and actually listened to my needs rather than trying to sell me. I worked in retail/commission jobs and know the drill. But working with Alan was actually enjoyable. He had a fun personality and didn't try to sell me on something I didn't want because I "HAD" to have it. I never felt pressured and he made the whole experience easy and hassle-free. Though he had other customers in the store I never felt like I was being ignored and he gave me the space to browse as well but was right there when I had a question. He even showed me the bunk beds for my sons, we are not ready for them yet, but when we are I am definitely coming back to buy from him. I have definitely found my new mattress guy and am so glad I did. The mattress I decided on is a dream! OMG!!! AMAZING!!! I never would have thought to pick the one I did. It is slightly firmer than what I would have originally picked but now that it has broken in, it is perfect and I won't have to replace it in the next two year because of it sagging. All these things I learned from Alan. If you are looking for a new bed, go see this Alan, he is hilarious and absolutely knows his stuff! He actually made the whole process fun and made the dent in my wallet hurt a little less because I knew exactly what I was getting and the quality of it. Walked into this store on a whim, and had been considering a tempurpedic mattress. The salesman was busy helping someone else and excused himself to greet me which was very nice of him because I honestly was just looking at that point checking out what they had etc... So the other customer heads out and I'm approached asked if I needed any help, and I mentioned the tempurpedic beds that I'd been looking at. He directed me to a Sealy iComfort mattress which is exactly what I was looking for. I hadn't planned on buying the bed, but of course there was a sale that had ended the day before (posted ad stated so) and he offered to give me the sale price if I was willing to put down the required down payment and include free box springs which saved me another $300 bucks! Needless to say Instead of shelling out the $2000 that I had fully expected to pay before taxes, my new bed only cost me (roughly) $1950 after tax for a cal-king! I couldn't be happier with the service provided and was even given a free cover for my mattress which according to the sales screen would have run me around $100 bucks. The salesman didn't rush me, and unlike some of the other comments left here didn't feel like sleazy used car slimy salesman often do. This is the third bed that I've purchased from them (including my kids bunk bed) and unless I move out of the area it won't be my last. Also, the prices are exactly the same as other bed stores. Don't believe me look them up online! Sleep Train's price on my mattress would have been exactly the same if I hadn't gotten the sale price. The only downside is that they are right next to a recently opened Gold's gym and the parking can be a nightmare. read more

My wife and I needed a new bed so we walked in, looked around and found an awesome mattress, head board and frame. Ted the sales guy was awesome in the beginning. The bed was to be delivered and set up with the old mattress relocated into the guest bedroom in stead of hauled away. Well, they brought in the new mattress, frame and headboard, set it up and leaned the headboard against the wall "(we forgot the bolts)" and they just leaned the old mattress against the wall in the hall, must have been too close to quitting time to go the extra mile. I figured since I'm handier then a swiss army knife I can use my own bolts but the problem was that the bolt holes to the head board did not line up to the frame holes, no wonder they lied and said and they forgot the bolts it wouldn't of mattered if they had the bolts in the first place. So, being the marcgeiver that I am, I drilled new holes in the frame and they were perfect BUT!!!! now the threaded inserts where the bolts go were stripped out so i couldn't tighten them properly. 4 hours invested already trying to be nice. So, I called to request a solution, they sent me adapter plates that pushed the headboard to the left un evenly. LOL! That was so funny. 5 hours invested now. I called and requested a new head board and frame and Ted, the (Jenioius) got all smart mouthed with me and said since I made my own holes there was nothing he could do. Dear Ted: Next time you sell a bed frame and head board please make sure all the parts assemble correctly. I would not be sleeping with my $1,646.00 bed that has a head board leaned up against the wall if you would have just sold me the correct items in the first place. Now you have me on YELP writing a bad review for the service you provided to my wife and I. I now feel like I have a bed from the Goodwill except the goodwill would have probably made it right. I went in not expecting to buy anything, we all know how that works out... my current mattress was only 4 years old, but it was just too soft and my back was starting to feel it. I just wanted to look at what they had. The sales floor guy, Ted, showed me some great models that they were transitioning off the floor to make room for the newer ones. I ended up saving thousands of dollars on an Aireloom mattress. It was delivered to my house 3 days after the purchase at the exact time they told me it would be here. I have never had a worse shopping experience in my entire life. This was hands down the worst place to go for a mattress/furniture. Mancini's Sleepworld employees are obviously paid way too much in commission and not enough is hourly pay. Here is why you shouldn't shop at Mancini's Sleep World: The sales man: *He was helpful until we agreed to buy (obviously they're paid way too high in commission). He also rushed us after we said yes because, God forbid, he was 23 minutes into overtime. *He sold us standard pillows for a king mattress so they didn't fit our pillow cases (I mean, come on, you work in the business, you should have known they wouldn't fit our KING pillow cases for our KING mattress) *He ordered the wrong mattress (we spent over an hour sitting on the Sealy Introspect and the Sealy Stillness, the two firmest Embody beds, yet we received the Prophecy..) *He ordered the wrong nightstands (I asked for the 23" Aspen Cambridge nightstand and received the 28" nightstand, so our furniture didn't fit in the room) *He LIED TO OUR FACES and said that the Ergo Adjustable box was only going to cost us another $400, for that price, it was like "eh, why not?" NOPE! it costed $400 dollar more EACH twin box, costing us a whopping $800 MORE. and last, but definitely not least...... *HE WOULDN'T PRICE MATCH AMAZON (He said amazon wasn't a real store?! Really?) Now for the delivery men: *They did not confirm delivery date and showed up randomly without a confirmation call *They did not take the box spring of our old mattress out of the house (.....but they took the mattress top??) *They left all their cardboard boxes and trash in our room *They broke our bed and didn't say anything... Like we wouldn't notice?! *The chesser, nightstands and foot of bed had dinks and scratches in them *We had to pay them before they brought in our furniture, and DIDN'T GIVE US A RECEIPT!! When we asked for a receipt, they said they only had one copy. WTF!!! I wouldn't have been so upset if all of this didn't cost me so much money. We spent $5,200 with Mancini's Sleepworld and they didn't even take care of us. It's very sad. read more
