I had an absolutely terrible experience with Chris Manco. If you make the mistake of hiring him, DO NOT pay him up front. Chris made so many excuses, promises that were never kept, and he left our house a mess. He made himself impossible to get a hold of, ignored calls, left his voicemail full, and took days to respond. I was shocked that someone would take advantage of customers who gave him money up front, but I know now that I was totally naive and have learned my very expensive lesson. At the time I hired him (back in September 2018), he had all 5 star reviews and was available when lots of other weren't, so I hired him. Obviously I was a naive first-time homeowner and didn't realize that something was probably fishy. Now I see from newer reviews that others have paid him ahead of their jobs and have gotten burned as well. I hired him to paint the interior of my home, and we agreed on a price of $5000 including labor and supplies to be paid in 3 installments--down payment, midway through, and a final payment upon completion. He said he could finish the job in a week and half. Everything seemed ok for the first couple of days, since he showed up and started painting ceilings, but I should have been more concerned that he didn't have the proper tools (no dropcloth, no painters lights, no scaffolding/platforms, etc) and obviously hired daily help that needed constant supervision or they messed things up. In addition to small details like not removing light switch covers and painting over nails in the walls, they painted a ceiling in a room that was not part of the job, so they had to spend some of their time fixing that mistake. After the ceilings were painted, Chris said he was about halfway done, and asked us to pay the second payment. At the time we were not yet living in the house so we were excited to see that some progress had been made in a couple of days, despite some areas of concern, which Chris assured us would be fixed, so I agreed. Then Chris stopped showing up. He told me that his father had a heart attack. I still don't know if this was the truth or not (I hope no one would lie about this kind of thing), but Chris said he would need a few days and then would be back on the job. He also said that if we would pay him the final payment, he would throw in another project (finishing a closet wall) that we had been talking about and still do the whole thing for the original quoted price. I was so, so naive and agreed because I really thought the money would help him get our job done faster and that he would do right by us. Then he started giving other excuses about why he couldn't get to our job (truck needed for his family/doctors appointments/no money to pay guys to hire, etc). In total, Chris spent 3.5 days at my house over a period of a month, when the original estimate for the job was a week. Not a single room was finished, and when we asked him for $4000 back so that we could just move on (leaving him $1000 for supplies he had bought), he wouldn't agree. We had to hire someone else to fix all of the low quality work Chris did, and we took it up with our debit card company. Unfortunately, because Chris had receipts that authorized the payments, they couldn't do anything for us even though the work was never completed. Now I have learned my lesson as a homeowner to never pay anyone up front, especially with a debit card or cash because I'll have no recourse. Chris obviously knew this because he was all too happy when we told him we were going to take it up with the debit card company. Now I will have to pursue small claims court. read more

I highly recommend this company. I consulted with Christopher regarding power washing the house, repainting all my window frames, and deck power washing and re-staining. He was very considerate, definitely AFFORDABLE, and informative regarding options I had and included how to do it myself. His scheduled me with no wait time and left no mess. I would not recommend Chris for painting. His work has to be redone. Once he has your cash - that's it - he won't be back. We hired him to fix painting done by a previous painter - he did nothing but paint a few spots. He painted our front porch - the entire porch has bubbled. It has to be redone. He promised many times to come back and fix everything but has been a no show. He has had many excuses over time even telling my husband to take down his bad reviews - man to man he said. Yet he still has not showed up. We are filing a small claims action against him this week. read more

Horrible experience with Chris Manco - I hired him to paint my 85 year old mother's house/deck. He had me pay him in full (my big mistake) before he started the job. Long story short, I have been waiting since July 3rd for him to paint (my mom has a house that is now less than halfway painted), hearing lie after lie from this guy (too much rain, health issues, forgot it was a holiday). He has stolen $5,300 from my mom and I now have to take him to court. STAY AWAY. read more

I called Chris for an estimate after reading an ad in the paper. I was shocked when he said he could be here TODAY. He came that same day and gave me a great price for my 3 bedrooms and stairwell. He squeezed me in for the same week . He arrived 3 days later with 2 younge men. Everyone was professional, polite, and always stopped to answer my questions (i was watching the whole time, dont be like me lol dont look until the second coat TRUST ME lol ) the colors were beautiful he matched my benjamin moore paint swatch that i was wanting for my bedroom with an even better Sherman Williams version (i was scared but it came out better ) I will be calling him back for my kitchen and dining room he was super accomodating and even though it took a day more than expected it was worth it . Great team highly recommend! I feel like im in a whole new home its amazing how much a good painting can do I cant thank them enough! read more
