Maria guided us through the process before entering, demonstrating the proper eucalyptus tornado twirl of herbal greatness (not the official name, but it darn well should be). Once inside the dome, seated in absolute darkness, a hardy gorde scope of water gets tossed through a small opening off the back. The magical blend of herbs hit the hot rocks and send a heat burst of moisture into the dome. When the eucalyptus is swung over head, the aroma and heat sensation swirl about. The combination of heat, wind, and herbs allows the mind to quiet. A special thank you to Maria, who was so incredibly sweet. Her words were gentle and genuine.
