Cashmere. Ponchos. You might be saying to yourself, that's not a thing that exists in the world. But it is. And they have them at Mandala. Because at Mandala, they basically have everything: Lovely music, all manner of incense, scrolls with inspirational sayings, jewels for any and all purposes (citrine protects you from evil thoughts, and you definitely need that shit), jewelry, buddhas of all kinds, wallets, pouches, and other colorful containers, scarves, figurines, bowls... They even carry scary god masks that, if you stare into their eyes long enough, will convince you buy to several of the somewhat odd shirts being sold below. Because you'll look great in them, no matter what your wife says. Anyway, I like this store. And I like it even more that they don't seem to be gouging you on any of the prices. It's just a fascinating little shop that's fun to browse; you might even surprise yourself by finding a bunch of things you want to buy. read more

Best selection of scarves EVER! There were scarves everywhere I turned - outside on a rack, inside on shelves and hanging in every part of the store. Great selection in general of goods from Tibet, Nepal, and India. Definitely the place to come for a wide range of incense, singing bowls, and healing crystal beaded bracelets. Some fun jewelry, too! This is one of my favorite stores. From the sales staff, who are the sweetest people ever! Its a mom and pop shop so I always prefer it over large corporate stores. Their stuff is all top quality and even my husband, who is super picky about what he wears, loves their shirts! Especially the linen ones which are so nice for these summer months. My mom is obsessed with their jewellery, so it's an easy gift for her as well. I could basically come here and get gifts for my whole family, easy, and the prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality of their products. I've been coming here for years and i will keep coming back whenever I'm in the neighborhood. read more

What appeared to be a dream come true in this little mom and pop store with spiritual aspirations turned out to be a customer service nightmare. I am a repeat customer who purchased three items for an upcoming wedding ensemble. All was well 'til I washed my clothing, and the two fabric pieces shrunk - 4" for the wrap pants, and 3 'inch for the dress. I called the store respectfully, and was told by the woman who works there that the owner was not available. I received a call back within 5 mins, with the answer that there was nothing to be done, and "you should have known that rayon would shrink." That was the point when I asked to speak with the owner. I was told that was impossible. I asked multiple times, and the young woman circled me until I told her I wanted to hear the owner say to me directly what she said - "it's your fault for not knowing, you should have known better." My response: "I want the owner to call me and tell me what you just said." An hour went by. The same young woman called me back. Not the owner. She let me know she searched the clothing I purchased, she definitely remembers me, and yes, on the tags, it says rayon, says cold water (I used cold water), and says hang dry. I don't remember that. Her voice had the triumphant tone of "I told you so" and was utterly dismissive. I asked her if she felt better knowing that this is how she handled a customer service call. She cut right back with the same thing to me, mocking me by repeating what I said word for word. She asked whether I supported mom and pop stores and I told her yes, absolutely, and that I had loved coming in until this experience, until this terrible customer service, and that I no longer wanted the exchange, I wanted my money back. "You're not listening to me, " I said. Her answer: "Well you're not listening to me." "You're customer service, I'm the customer with a problem." She continued on, her voice getting louder and more shrill. I have never experienced this kind of behavior in a business setting. I recognize it from grade school. I spent $100 dollars on material that I can't use, and couldn't even get the decency of basic respectful communication (I think) because I asked to hear the owner say exactly what she said to me. I still want to hear it. No matter how factually right the details about the material may have been, the manner in which customer service was handled speaks - to an unavoidable degree - more clearly and succinctly about the company values that were entrusted in this young woman's hands -- cosmic joke -- it's a TIBETAN MANDALA store -- than any for sale items ever will. I want a phone call from the owner -- and an acknowledgement of really shitty behavior on the part of an employee who stands as the front face of a business meant to gather people together. read more

Love the vibe here and the beautiful clothing they have. The natural fabrics are soft and comfortable and the colorful designs compliment all skin tones. The man at the counter is helpful and has a very calming demeanor. I have seen some of the exact tops here for sale at well known online stores but I can actually feel and try them in person. The prices are reasonable. Will be back again to buy some of their unique jewelry. Only positive things to say about Mandala! read more

I love Mandala. They carry the cutest pieces of jewelry, scarves, wallets, rings, anklets, bracelets, skirts, dresses, rompers, purses and home decor items. Everything is Tibetan or South Asian inspired and so, so beautiful. I find their prices to be very reasonable. I recently visited the store looking for a brass, gold or wooden Buddha. I didn't find it yet, but it's always a welcoming and peaceful experience when I shop at Mandala. The items are always changing too, so you never know what you will find. read more

Tough to leave a review - and 1 star seems too much - when they don't open. U got here early, waited until 10:10, called the number, no answer except the VMbox was full. From the window it looks like there's lot of great stuff to buy, but I can't spend money when the door's are locked! Please update the Saturday open time to reflect whatever it really is, because it definitely isn't 10am. No worries though, Yelp showed me anither store called Om a few blocks away. read more

I'm a sucker for tibetan jewelery. Unfortunately, I've only been to a good one on bedford. Don't get me wrong, they have good stuff but it's extremely over-priced because surprise,surprise. It's on Bedford. I kind of expected the same at Mandala, but I walked in rather surprised. Everything was cheap. Tons of jewelery, home decor, clothing, etc. Half the cost and quality items. I was walking by this store today and couldn't resist looking at the jewelry. Unfortunately everything I wanted to look at was either in the window or at the front of a big glass case and there was lots of stuff in the way, but the owner was very cheerful and happy to show me everything. Altho I loved the dress that was purchased for me, I was totally disappointed that I received the dress as a gift, and because the gift giver is away and I have no access to the receipt, the store was unable to accomadate me with an even exchange of a smaller size. Therefore this 50.00 dress is a waste. It looks like a potato sack and will just sit there. I understand policies, but I think that if someone spends money in an establishment, the customer should always be taken care of. Im NOT asking for my money back, just a smaller size, so therefore I can enjoy my purchase as all else on here. It sucks that I have to leave this review, but I will NOT shop there again, nor recommend it. read more

This is a cool spot! I'm not big on accessories or jewelry but they've got some pretty awesome rings that range from $6 - 10. I got this sweet brass (??) ring that has a mantra written on it. And this other ring with some magenta, turquoise and black strips over brass (??). Sorry I have no idea what the rings are made of haha. The owner was super friendly too. A couple customers came in and seemed like regulars. Cool spot! read more

Great selection of Tibetan singing bowls, traditional Tibetan women's clothing, accessories and jewelry. The owner's winded response says it all, she's still blaming the customer. The necklace was wrapped perfectly from the day before, I never opened the box. She had to have recognized her own employee's wrap job, believe me, I can't wrap a gift. The employee never checked the necklace, I didn't either. I was returning it because I didn't think my mom would like it, I didn't know it was missing a stone. the stone was not in the box when the owner opened it. Then, the owner kept accusing me of dropping the box, so the stone must have gotten loose and fallen out. The box was wrapped!!!! Wouldn't the stone have been in the box if this was the case. Hello??? And then to refuse a good customer a refund, after spending hundreds of dollars there, outrageous. Thank goodness I returned it, could you imagine if I would have given the damaged necklace as a gift, i would kissed my hundreds good bye. read more
