From the beginning, I felt rushed into bringing my children without being properly prepared. I was not clearly informed about what items I needed to provide for my children, the billing policy, or the exact amount I would owe. I asked multiple times for written confirmation of my monthly payment amount, but I never received anything by email. I was only given verbal estimates, which created confusion and uncertainty. One of my biggest concerns happened when my daughter was bitten by another child in her classroom. I understand that incidents can happen in childcare settings, and I do not blame the facility simply because a child bit another child. However, what made me extremely uncomfortable was the handling of the situation. The teacher stated in front of the director that she had already sent me an incident report, which was not true. I also never received a phone call regarding the injury. When I saw my daughter's injury, it was more severe than I had expected. The lack of communication and the fact that I felt I was given inaccurate information damaged my trust. After speaking with the director, we agreed to move my daughter to another classroom. Unfortunately, when my daughter returned after being absent for several days, nobody appeared to have prepared for her transition. Her belongings had not been moved, and no one was available to guide me to her new classroom. After waiting for quite some time, another staff member eventually assisted me, though she did not seem pleased to do so. Once I entered the classroom, it was clear the teacher seemed surprised and unprepared for my daughter's arrival. As a parent, that was concerning because transitioning a child into a new environment should feel organized and welcoming. I was also later emailed that I would be charged a late fee despite still not having clear information regarding the exact amount I owed or the due dates. In the end, my daughter was paid for the month but only attended a handful of times because I no longer felt comfortable with the overall environment. The disorganization, communication issues, and concerns regarding cleanliness made me feel that this was not the right place for my children.

Ha, I can't believe this is on here…read more Anyways, I am an EC Alumni who graduated in 2007 and was there my entire 4 year highschool career. If you're looking into this highschool for certain classes, they have your standard language classes, with Spanish and French. They took away Latin the year I wanted to take it though which was disappointing. Don't ask me about science classes or math, I hated both and scraped by on minimum credits when it came to these subjects. And English all 4 years was fun but my freshman teacher never liked me because I think she used to compare me to my older rowdier simblings, which was never fair. If you are aspiring in a career in art or music though, EC is the place to really be. You're allowed to take any of the art classes as long as you want, and the teachers are never afraid to let you excel and do what you really want to do. There was even a welding class I always wanted to take but never had time. I mainly took drawing/painting and ceramics while I was there as far as art and it was the best learning experience I've ever had. Anyway, I think Mr. Ratliff is still teaching ceramics and he teaches you everything you need to know and more. I'm taking ceramics in college and I seriously feel bored listening to the professor go on about things I already knew - that's how extensive his teaching goes. EC is also fun for it's guitar class, all kinds of choirs and fairly successful band classes. The only thing I hated was how unnecessarily strict they were when it came to certain things. I came from a MIDDLE SCHOOL of all places that allowed you to dye your hair any color you pleased, EC does not tolerate unnatural hair colors and will put you in Saturday school, which sucks. They were also much more strict with the dress codes. I felt like a child even at 18 for not being able to tdo something as simply dying my hair how I wanted. And if it seems like you're driving fast in the parking lot, they give you a speeding ticket issued by the highway patrol. I have friends who learned this the hard way who weren't even speeding. As far as the students, it was a great experience because EC wasn't one of those stereotypical "clique" schools. Sure I had weird hair, wore a studded belt and a band t-shirt, but I hung out with all kinds of kids who would probably be considered "preps", "jocks" or even "nerds." It also allowed me to make friends beyond the kids I went to middle or elementary school with which is great as well.

I love that they even incorporate STEM learning for the little ones, making every day both fun and enriching. I live in Lincoln and gladly make the drive because the teachers and staff here are exceptional. Ms. Susan, the director, is amazing, and Brandy is so involved, caring, and attentive. I could name so many more because everyone there is wonderful. It's so rewarding to see how the children grow and thrive, and we look forward to watching our daughter continue to grow through the Child Time program. So everyone is aware myself as well as 5 other families left this school due to them not caring about the children. I have witnessed neglect, abuse, and dishonesty of the teachers and directors. Lana and Tere especially. My child was here from age 5 months until 2 years when we just witnessed getting worse. The teachers do not like working here and you can tell with the amount of teacher turnover around they get. A total of 5 directors worked there at the time of us going here. They don't care about anything you voice or concerns you may have. The state has done multiple visits due to multiple concerns with families.
