I have been working with Mandell & Movsesian since 2019, and have found them to be professional, responsible, transparent, and responsive. Shoushan Movsesian has been my primary contact. She is the fiduciary (handling money and finances) for my aunt (who is incapacitated), and I have responsibility for the health care (power of attorney). This split in responsibilities has meant that I have worked closely with the firm on many decisions, both predictable and unexpected. I have found that they have always put the interests of my aunt first, both by considering the wishes she expressed in her advance directives and in terms of making sure her funds will last as long as she needs. They have been transparent about financial matters, including my aunt's living expenses as well as their own fees. Regarding fees, I have considered the fees reasonable (especially considering the amount of work involved) and also rather small relative to other expenses incurred. In addition, Shoushan Movsesian has been resourceful in problem solving, for example in seeking targeted legal assistance when needed without generating big attorney's fees. In summary, I would say that the firm's experience makes it an efficient and effective fiduciary and a knowledgeable family advisor; and the firm's integrity means that you will get good and honest value from their services. I've waited several years to post this review. Even after my anger has subsided from what these people did to my father, his estate and my siblings and me it still angers me they got away with it all. They provide horrible CNA's that were inexperienced and unprofessional. They are very mean spirited. If you landed here with these people because of a feud with a sibling or loved one now you will have a worst feud with someone who will have all power over your loved one and his estate. The judge will believe their lies no matter what you say. If you thought your sibling or family member was tough to deal with you have no idea in the hell you and your loved one have landed in. Be prepared to have your loved ones bank account raped by these people. Once that money is running low they will start to sell off any property in the estate for to the first bidder no matter what amount so they can continue to siphon money. Once these people are in charge of your loved one they will turn Nasty and hostile if you even question them. I recommend recording ALL phone conversations so.that when they threaten you like they did me you will have proof to play in front of a judge. Oh you say that's not legal? Neither is what these people do behind closed doors. Trust me you will thank me once you have the proof.. Watch out for terms like them recommending a "higher level of care" and bringing in their contracted nurse team 24hrs a day (eventually) and removing any family members from your parents house. They will eventually push to have your loved one moved into a 24hr nursing home so they can sell your loved ones home and assets. These people are a cancer with no cure, they don't really care about your loved ones health and only care about how to siphon every dollar they can from your hard working loved ones savings. Mr. Mandel is a nasty old man and they new people that have taken over are even worse! read more

My first name is Sirak. I'll keep my last name anonymous. I was born and raised in The Valley since 1946. I have a spinal cord injury. I broke my neck in a diving accident in April 1962. It ruined my whole day. I am a Cervical 5-6 quadriplegic. I need 24 hour care. Each of my five caregivers has 8 hour shifts each week. One is a live-in, and another is full-time 40 hours a week. In February 2016 my oldest brother died. He was 80 years old. He stipulated in his will that I continue to be well taken care of. His will went through Probate. The court ordered that I and another brother be taken care of by a Fiduciary. They sent us Shoushan and Lilit from Mandell and Movsesian. Shoushan  is Movsesian. Thank you Your Honor! I couldn't be happier! I truly know and believe they have my best interests at HEART. I wouldn't trade them for another $3 million. They also take wonderful care of my brother's Chatsworth home. I served as conservator, and earlier, as de facto conservator, to my mother for many years. After a long standing combative relationship with my mother's Trustees became untenable, I stepped down and the conservatorship was passed to a professional fiduciary: Mandell and Movsesian. For years before they became conservator, mom's doctor had been lowering the amount of my mother's nutrition which was delivered through a feeding pump. In spite of this, and the fact the visiting RN from hospice had examined my mother for lack of nutrition and wasting issues each visit, (one to two times a week and was in direct contact with moms Doctor), they brought in their own nurse and nutritionists. They waited until the hospice nurse was out of town so she could not protest giving mom more liquids. As a result of an inordinate amount of fluids, mom began to aspirate and choke within 24 hours. I spoke to the conservators and was asked what I know about what happened. I told them I saw that the nutrition pump was set to give a greater amount of fluids over the same period of time and was told, essentially, this was none of my business. There were overtones of retribution, like not allowing me to visit my mother If I brought up such things. I was told just to be happy to be able "to visit and be with my mother." This was not the only time they threatened me in this manner. I don't believe that a professional would treat their client in this manner, nor client's family, who cared for her for decades, in this manner. read more

I wish there was a negative star. So nice to you at first and promise to fulfill all of your future needs. THEY DON'T! Once they have your money your screwed! Non responsive phone calls. They don't care about your finances at all, they only care about making they're money. They are very overpriced and charge for every little thing they can. They never explain what they do for you or what your not allowed to do until its too late and you have already started. What ever you do, please do NOT use these awful people with your money or any one else money that you care about. My lawyer Tina recommended them, do not let your lawyer recommend anyone. After serving as my Mother's conservator for 12 years, passing court inspections and accountings, my Conservatorship was surrendered after litigation from siblings to remove me. I took care of my mother at the cost to the estate of 125,000 a year, asking for fees amounting to less than $3000 a year. Mandell and Movsesian was recommended by an appointed PVP attorney, who worked with Mandell and Movsesian and has an office in the same building. The charged us $325,000 per year, and over $60,000 in fees for them and their attorney. They are dishonest, inefficient, bill for work they don't do, unavailable for their client, hyper expensive, arrogant. They isolated my mother from her old Nurse who had been serving her for 18 years, and was her best friend. They lied about what they were going to do, referring to rules that me and my attorney don't think apply. They attempted to fire Mom's geriatric physician, they bullied family members, threatened care givers, They are a fiduciary company who hires case workers who act as conservators while the licensed Conservator spends time out of the office. Mr. Mandell, has, so far, a very good reputation within the court system, he is liked by the lawyers and the judges. Do not consider this guy, he will drive you into the ground! read more
