It's cosy and has a lovely unique look to it with their unusual decor (like photo slide lampshades). Parking can be an issue as there's only on-street parking, and most of it is 'residents only'. Public transport links are good though as there's a train station less than five minutes away, and nearby bus stops. The staff are always friendly and happy to help with any dietary requirement requests. The food is always really tasty however portions can be small and it's expensive. Expect to pay at least £10 just for a main course. They have an excellent range of beers, wines and soft drinks, all suitable for vegetarians. Dessert time is always disappointing for vegans as all they ever serve is plain dairy-free vanilla ice cream, no sauce. They have at least four other desserts for vegetarians. On my visit today I was even more disappointed than usual as my friend had the dairy ice-cream and got twice as much as me for the same price! If you like fine food, and don't mind paying for it, then this is a wonderful place! It's also great for special occasions but, due to the price, I wouldn't make it a regular place to eat.

They have an excellent selection of healthy and not-so-healthy foods and drinks, including a good stock of fairly traded items (such as Traidcraft cereal, loo roll, etc.). The staff are always friendly and very helpful - although I've never had to ask anything they have an extensive stock of herbal remedies and seem to cater for any ailment you might have. The staff are very knowledgeable and can advise on what might be the best remedy. The prices are reasonable; it's a real treasure trove of healthy goodies.

The whole shop layout is a little crazy, you step down into it and it almost appears like an old victorian kitchen with modern appliances placed in it but it's clean and all the food is fresh. It does sell cheap sandwiches and salads and is often throwing in little side offers such as a free bag of crisps or discounts on salads. There's no doubt it is good value for money and if you're wanting something quick and cheap it's a good place to go. I was a college student myself when I used to visit it and I found that while the staff are really friendly to most customers they do tend to treat college students with a bit more caution no matter how polite you are (and believe me I was brought up to always be polite no matter what!) so if you are a student and find this, don't take it personally, you know how students can act and it's just the staff keeping guard!
