    Melissa has been my stylist for the last 4 years and I am so lucky I found her! I moved to Denver and tried some of the "curl specialist" salons which were overpriced and did not deliver on style or color. Melissa was my savings grace and I've been going to her ever since. She does curls flawlessly but also understands that sometimes curly haired girls want to go straight and do Brazilian blowouts (which she is amazing at). She always has your best interest at heart and is professional and kind. I would recommend her and this salon to anyone!

    Poor time management. Rude, uncomfortable behavior. Unprofessional. We persevered in the end. Was told we can cut more after wash and dry of hair. Next appointment had come in and we were over our time. Rushed out the door with no time to discuss cut. When checking out (3 min after I'd seen the finished result and had time to absorb it) I told stylist I didn't like it and would like to make adjustments. She said she had a 7 day policy for redo's and to just text her if that's what I wanted to do after getting used to it for a few days. I left the salon feeling truly ugly. I put on a winter hat from my car in 80 degree weather just to walk from my car to my home I was so embarrassed. In our brief, we discussed having it a little longer on top and a little shorter on sides because stylist explained the sides grow faster and it may shape the face better. The end result was extremely short on the sides and very long on top. The fact that it was straight on the sides and curly on top was not what I wanted at all. After scheduling redo appointment I received a text from stylist explaining that redo appointments were just for uneven parts of hair and not a change in style of hair, but that she'd accommodate me this once. I felt a bit lectured as I left the salon with her saying to "just text me" for a redo appointment as a solution to me not liking it. I went in for redo appointment and explained that the shape, cut, length, etc. was not what I originally wanted. (I wanted more of the same length around the entire head, inspo pics shown to stylist below) She then proceeded to begin cutting my hair the exact style it was in, just shorter. When I stopped her she became very upset and said "I can't keep doing your hair and having you hate it, doing your hair and having you hate it, doing your hair and having you hate it. If you don't like what I'm doing there's nothing I can do for you." I felt like she just wanted me to leave. With the original cut I gave stylist a 50% tip and bought over $100 in product. I really wanted to end up with a cut I didn't hate (or could at least hide) due to the money I put down. I am a mild tempered person and just replied "I understand" and then asked her to buzz cut my head. She threw down her tools and grabbed the shaver. I was pretty taken back by the physical signs of aggression with the situation; considering my response throughout this experience was agreeable, polite and mild tempered. I can understand that in her mind I was being "difficult" by "changing my mind" (her words). Yet my perspective is, I was not changing my mind, simply trying to let a stylist know how unhappy I was with the cut and communicate the changes I wanted to see. When she started to cut, it was obvious she did not understand the changes I was trying to communicate, so I spoke up. I saw this stylist about a year ago and had a great cut, that's why I returned. Stylist did put effort and skill into shaving my head, albeit a quick cut. In the end I think it's pretty nice. I'm happy I came out of it with a cut I don't hate. Kinda crazy that I wanted a cut about 4 inches long and ended up with a buzz cut. I've never had a bad haircut before so am not sure of the rules or etiquette of correcting a bad cut . . . but I don't think it's this. The experience was very unpleasant. I felt rushed out the door, then nearly asked to leave and scolded for voicing my POV.

My request was simple: CHUNKY balayage. CHUNKYYYY. I had pictures to show what I wanted. Mostly warm highlights with some cool sprinkled in. I also asked to add texture to my hair but keep the length (it was below my bra line). Nope... goodbye 6 inches I didn't ask to lose (now it's just below my shoulders). I had THICK voluminous hair, and now it's like I have the Rachel haircut. They foiled my hair to death and I ended up almost platinum blonde when the foils came out, and then to add insult to injury, you could clearly see the lines where the highlights began where it looks almost burnt at the edges?? We went back in for another TWO hours to make it warmer, but by that time my hair was fried, and now I have a bald spot I didn't have before. He offered to fix it in another few weeks after my hair has had time to settle, but I'm never letting anyone there touch my head again. I'm too nice of a person and still managed to crack a semi smile when it was finally done, but now I'm left with tears and silent screaming to hold back my utter horror at what they left me with. If you didn't get the memo: I don't recommend them. Even after everything, he still had the audacity to charge me $250 (discounted) and said I didn't need to leave a tip. Umm, thanks? God only knows how long this is going to take to fix... Should've gone to Fluff Bar. Thanh, you should've comp'd it and ask I not leave a bad review, which I totally would've said yes to not doing. Lesson learned? Was the juice really worth the squeeze? Looks like I'm not the only one who's had this happen to them? Ladies or gents: If you want balayage or any kind of coloring service, do NOT go here. This is NOT their specialty. Run. UPDATE: Went to a highly reviewed salon a few days after my visit with Vo where I had two pros look at my hair to assess the situation (and probability of me somehow getting what I originally wanted), and both agreed that what Vo did to my hair was "pretty bad" and unprofessional. All I heard, as they were slowly combing and lifting through my hair, were soft whispers and gasps of horror with the occasional, "Girl look at this... omg..." After hearing what they could do to fix the mess Vo left me with (weeks of painstaking piece meal work and god-knows-how-much-money) I ultimately decided to have them take me back to my original brown so I could start over from square one. THAT'S how bad it was. All that time and money just to go back to brown and have my hair be short and thin instead of long and thick. God I could scream. I appreciate you offering to fix the mess you left me with, Thanh, but no thanks. I would much rather you spend the time you would've taken on fixing my hair to spending it on some coloring courses instead. Just because you own a salon doesn't mean you've mastered the art of hair. The other guy whom you trained on the fly with me has a lot of learning to do also. I could tell he didn't know what he was doing and yet you still let him touch my hair while you juggled two other clients. Unacceptable service. On top of that, neither you or the other guy ever made small talk with me, which I've never experienced at a salon in all my life. Like, not a single word or question about my day or even my name. Even if you guys had done a great job, I still wouldn't have come back due to that alone. K I'm done. Lesson learned I hope. Best of luck to you.

He even still remember me even if i went there a year ago. i left feeling so happy with the results! he knows what i want but also understand what my hair exactly needs. his assistant T or Thai (not sure the name) also very nice & polite. he's the one who blow style my hair. both first & second time i am a stastified customer.

    After three years of being a loyal customer at this location--and consistently arriving at least 10…read moreminutes early--I was recently marked as a no-show for an appointment. This appointment had been scheduled months in advance. When I received the 48-hour reminder text, I was in the middle of moving and in one of the busiest stretches of my work year. I immediately tried to call to cancel, but they were closed that day and there was no clear way to cancel through any other method. Because of everything going on, calling back the next day unfortunately slipped my mind. On the day of the appointment, they called me, and I apologized for missing it and explained the situation. During that conversation, it sounded like they might be able to work with me to avoid being charged for a service I didn't receive. However, a few days later I checked my bank account and saw that I had been charged the full amount. While I understand this may be their official policy, I reached out again to explain that I had attempted to cancel and had no available option to do so within the 48-hour window. What followed was a drawn-out process where I was consistently never called back in the time frame I was told and ultimately I was informed I would still be responsible for the full charge. After three years of loyalty--and even considering recommending them for my brother's upcoming wedding--this experience was extremely disappointing.
