However, a couple of days before my appointment, I was informed that she had left the salon. I was rescheduled with Crystal, who was presented as a Master Elite stylist. I had booked a partial highlight. The result of that appointment was my hair going from warm blonde to being totally washed out and grey looking. A few days later, I returned so Crystal could try to correct the color she did. Unfortunately, I left with the result of a yellow correction that looked like I try to do it myself. Additionally, my first two appointments with Laura also required corrections. Altogether, I have spent nearly $1,300 at this salon, yet my hair has consistently required rework and still ended up looking horrible. I have photos but cannot see how to post them here. I posted a message on X but have not received any response from this studio. The title "Master Elite" carries a significantly higher price point and naturally comes with a higher level of expectation and expertise. Based on my experience, I am no longer willing to subject my hair to additional corrective services. At this point, I am requesting a refund for my last appointment. I believe that is a fair resolution given the repeated issues and the outcome I received. She put me back in the bowl and it wasn't much better the second time. Every time I said this is not what I asked for, my statements were ignored and masked with "it looks soo good!" After 4.5 half hours being in that chair I cried because my hair looked terrible. No one offered to fix it or make the situation better- just collected payment. It seemed like she was unhappy from the moment I arrived. Marilo then told me that I booked the wrong service and said I needed a color correction instead of the all-over color I requested. I said that's fine, and asked for dark brown, but we ended up disagreeing because she wanted to dye my hair black. My hair is dark brown, not black. When I asked how we could achieve the brown color I wanted, she said I needed to highlight my entire head, which confused me and made me feel like she was trying to charge me more. It wasn't just this conversation that was off-putting; it was the entire interaction; she was abrasive and extremely rude. Not just "direct" like some people have mentioned in reviews, Direct I can handle, this was inappropriate and very odd. I was just in complete disbelief, that she would talk to me this way. During the conversation, she kept interrupting me and wouldn't let me speak, which I found really frustrating and rude. I don't feel comfortable having someone with this kind of attitude work on my hair, so I left. Unfortunately, I did not do my due diligence beforehand, but other people have expressed these same issues, isn't the point to get more clients instead of driving them away with complete lack of tact? I'd advise others to think twice before booking her services.
