Booked my mom a appt here , she had lots of hair to begin with , basically they didn't give her anything close to the inspo she showed them. They chopped her hair , then offered to fix or refund but at that point she has no hair to fix. They did give full refund. But we didn't like that they stated we don't normally give refunds. Like do you normally chop women's hair off and ignore the inspo. Won't be returning. read more

It has taken me since August to gather the courage to make this review. I came in for a cut and highlights to celebrate my 40th birthday (my daughter actually paid for the highlights, as a gift). I asked for a shoulder length choppy razor textured haircut with layers no shorter than my cheekbones. The cut I received was an actual nightmare. I have spent the 5.5 months following this haircut literally crying when I look at myself in the mirror. My self confidence has never been so low. The stylist cut what I can only describe as somewhere between a jellyfish cut and a mullet. I have layers in the BACK that have only now reached where my cheekbones would be. I am attaching a picture where I have blurred my face so you can see for yourself how awful my haircut was. I did contact the salon who offered to fix it, but tried to pass me to 3-4 different stylists, despite me stating that I was worried about who I might get if I came back in. Also, my stylist made a huge blob of bleach, from my highlights, just at my part line. Instead of fixing it, she put toner on it, so I have a circle of orange halfway down my hair at this point. My advice is to RUN FOR YOUR LIFE. I have never felt more scammed in my life, and I think we paid like $450 for these services!!! ***Edited to add:*** Thanks for your "kind" reply or whatever, but the bottom line is this. I can see through your reviews that you are too interested in splitting hairs over irrelevant details to take ownership of what you did. You say that you are a woman friendly establishment focused on empowering women, and yet instead of taking accountability for the fact that your salon messed up several women's hair, and those women are uncomfortable having you fix it, you refuse to refund people and try to force women into a situation they aren't ok with. You are the opposite of empowering, you don't respond with empathy, and instead you create a smoke screen of price or whatever else to lead people away from your immoral behavior. I'm not sure how to properly rate this salon... My services (cut and color) were fine the first couple of times I went, but the last time I went, -several months ago-I took my college-aged daughter for color--- my usual gal took care of her---- unfortunately, she overstepped her hair stylist duties (as we were never friends-just client/stylist) and proceeded to give my daughter advice on skin care and where to go (recommending a salon down the street)--- my daughter's experience was ruined by this "mean girl" -- when I picked her up, she was so sad in the car and relayed this to me.. I wanted to go back in there and tell her how inappropriate she was but my daughter just wanted to leave. Yes, her hair looked nice, yes, the salon is very nice and has a great vibe. However, with the really bad parking situation there and now this, I'll never return. I'm happy to see this stylist is no longer employed there but now we've moved on to another salon. I did respond to a text after the visit that asks how your visit was? And I asked for the manager to call me -but it never happened. read more

I get my hair done every month with Paige and she is a breath of fresh air. Super friendly, always a great vibe. She does my roots. Once every 4 months I get my highlights done with Amy. She gets me super blond and I love it. I highly recommend both of them. read more

I just had a hair cut and color with an extremely inexperienced girl. I gave this place three try's. I found a wonderful stylist and she left. I decided to stay and had to spend an additional $150 to get the hack job done on my hair fixed. I do not reccommend this salon for anyone other than young girls who don't know any better, it is not for a mature client who doesn't want to walk out of there looking like everyone else. They have 1 hair style and no one is trined enough to give a good haircut. I requested my money back and have heard nothing back from the owner. DO NOT GO THERE. read more

Let me just start off by saying, coming from someone who regularly visited salons & had blowout memberships elsewhere, Wylde is by far the best. Such a beautiful salon, amazing products, and filled with the friendliest staff & cutest salon pup. I have been to two different stylist and they both knocked it out for me the park. I'd honestly trust any stylist there with my hair. The salon manager Tawny & owner Allison are extremely friendly & super personable. My first time being a client at Wylde I shared details regarding my difficult pregnancy journey, at my next appointment I was gifted a bouquet of flowers and card at the end of my visit. I mean c'mon? What salon does that! They are truly such incredible women. This place is just a womens dream. They hold breath work classes, fun events, etc. You can tell they are really trying to uplift women & build a community. I had my first appointment after having my 2nd baby yesterday & I saw Ellie for the first time. I knew nothing about her other than seeing marketing images from Wylde's Instagram (which is amazing btw) and was blown away so I trusted my gut & booked an appointment. Ellie is amazing! She took the time to really understand my frustration with postpartum hair loss and listened to what I wanted & executed it perfectly. She finished me off with one of the best blowouts I've ever had! Whenever I write a glowing review, I'm always concerned it'll read like a fake review. But the truth is that both my wife and my daughter have gotten the best haircuts I've ever seen on either of them from Wylde. That's the god's honest truth. While most of us want to keep Gilbert a town and not a violent, hectic metropolis, it also needs some nice facelifts and beautiful commons for people watching and family hangouts. Epicenter fits the bill and just like Source next door, Wylde is killing it. There's a ridiculous amount of good looking people in this town that can put NY and LA to shame. First time to the salon -- stylist didn't listen and just did what we she wanted. Switched stylists and enjoyed the experience. But I can't seem to get passed some of the photos on the Instagram account that seem to objectify/sexualize women. Maybe I'm old school but I get a bad vibe with that and some of the turnover so will take my money elsewhere. Highly recommend that you find an independent stylist instead. UPDATE TO SALON RESPONSE My rating stands. Your records are not correct so I will clarify (again) that I had 2 stylists at Wylde. The first didn't listen (booked/paid directly) and made me feel rushed. The second was awesome but is no longer there. My experience at the salon, and feelings about the photos on the salon Insta account, are simply my opinion. I don't appreciate the salon response and the deflection, but it does confirm my gut feeling. I encourage everyone to do their own research and make their own decision. First time client. I called in the morning checking for availability and was able to get in with Julie 4 hrs later. The salon is esthetically pleasing and calm. The owner was working the front desk and was very welcoming. Julie listened to my hair concerns and ideas for changes. We discussed options and she went to work. She took her time with me and did not rush the appointment. I'm very happy with the service, attention, and style. The whole experience was wonderful. I have never been to this salon before so I went online to checkout the services they offered. I checked the box for a retouch which included a blow dry and style for $90 which I thought was a good price so I booked an appointment for Friday. After talking to the stylist I added a haircut and some highlights about 10ish foils. That's all I added so I thought my total would be about $200 at the most. So you can imagine my shock when the total was $350!!! Before tip!! Honestly I'm still in shock. I wish the stylist would have informed of the prices along the way especially since I have never been there before. For example if we add highlights it's going to be this much.... To go from $90 to $350 is quite a jump. Update. It was Friday at 10:30 with Sonja. I called the Salon and left a message with the front desk. read more

Walked by and wanted to try this adorable salon because the vibes were so appealing. So glad I needed a blowout for photos because I absolutely loved my experience. They offer drinks and snacks when you walk in and take care of you. They consult with you beforehand to make sure you get exactly what you want. The stylists collaborate and work together and all seem to be really satisfied with working there. A standard blowout is reasonable priced compared to big salons. This past autumn season I've gone in twice to see Paige and Sonja. I have never received better cuts in my life. Both were very different, and felt very freeing and helped me appreciate and feel proud of the way I look again. For a men's cut you may need to wait just a tiny bit, but it will be so worth it. I had very long, and very thick and curly hair and both times I was done so right. I drove here from Tukee, and will continue to do so. These ladies are amazing at what they do and deserve your business if you're a guy who wants to put a little more effort and money into himself. read more

Well i was very excited to try wylde for the first time for a haircut, I have short hair and just needed a refresh for a trip i have coming up I have 3 kids had to schedule a baby sitter and was looking forward to some me time, Jessica cut my hair she was nice but i started to notice my hair was very uneven in the front i figured she knew what she was doing so i was just going to let her continue and not say anything. Well the haircut was done and she was finished styling I tried to think to myself well maybe it isn't so bad cause i didn't want it to be awkward or hurt her feelings. later that day i see my mom and my sister and the first words out of there mouth was you're hair is not even one side is much longer then the other. i was devastated it was that noticeable. As i took a closer look its uneven all the way around its choppy and does not look professionally cut whatsoever. I contacted the salon and explained the situation they suggested i come back in to "fix it". No i do not want you to fix it I no longer trust your salon or employees to touch my hair I would just like a refund so i can get it fixed elsewhere. i was told by the receptionist she would need to talk to the manager about the situation, Hours later i get a text at night by allison who i believe is the owner we talked back and forth and she kept insisting i come back in to "fix it". again they have lost my trust and i already booked with another salon that has done my hair in the past that was nice enough to squeeze me in and had to move clients around. Anyways she told me they do not do refunds in this situation. So now not only am i out the money for my terrible haircut i also have to pay the other salon to fix it.
