I ordered lunch from here a few days ago and it was delicious. Delivery was incredibly FAST & the food was FRESH! My only complaint was missing ingredients in my salad, there was no onion or mushroom which I was looking forward to. I must have onion in my salad so that was disappointing. This is my new go to lunch spot and I don't even work in the building! Great food, fresh, made to order! Lots of options, new specials daily. My personal favorite is the value menu. Value fries are $1! I usually get a half turkey club from the value menu. My co worker and I went yesterday. She got a made to order Greek salad, while I got a daily special of small chicken fingers and fries ($5.20). We've never had a complaint when picking up food at Mangia! The staff are extremely nice! I wouldn't usually tip at this type of carry out restaurant, but they're so great, sometimes I do. There are tables to dine in and they have outlets and spots for a usb to be plugged in (to charge a phone). Great casual lunch spot! read more

I've always had a bit of a bias against Mangia. I feel like a restaurant in an office building is a glorified cafeteria. Essentially it kind of is, right? I purposely avoided eating there for that reason...until today. Convenience and a breakfast sandwich were calling my name. The staff were nice and friendly, and it took about 5 minutes for my order to be ready. I went with an egg, cheese and turkey sausage sandwich on an English muffin and a hash brown. Both were greasy and reminded me of McDonald's (whatever that's worth). The order cost me $6...certainly no value combo. While waiting, I was intrigued by their "exotic" chip selection- fun flavors and brands I've never heard of. Their specials board often has interesting soups and sandwiches. They even had some sort of fish the other day (which kind of stunk up the ground floor). So the chips and specials are a little intriguing but otherwise I'm going to go with my initial observation of glorified cafeteria. read more

This is our "go to" breakfast place at work. Food is good and cheap. Delivery is very fast. A favorite is the breakfast pizza that is not listed on the menu. I highly recommend it if you've never tried breakfast pizza before. It takes longer to make than other breakfast items but not much longer! read more

There is a smaller café located in the 3 Bala Plaza building that is related to this one. It is for the employees in that building but serves the exact same food. I find the food to be consistently decent and reasonably priced. The employees behind the counter are very friendly and helpful. Sometimes the service can be a little slow, but the lunch hour can be hectic, so I expect this. I love their daily breakfast specials ($3.99 for pancakes, hash browns and bacon), soups and hot lunch specials. read more

The food is good but they need help in all areas. Everything is to close and when you come in to the Restaurant you don't know where the line start and end. The register are to close together. They really need to redesign their Restaurant. The people behind the counter needs to have someone making the food and someone else taking the oders. And why do they have the same pair of gloves on making food and taking the oders not good at all. They all ways running out of food. If you was on your lunch break you have to wait so they can make more of the food item's. And when you get something delivered they sometimes mess up your order or the person thats taking your order is missing up the order and then you have to send it back or reorder. read more

This place is convenient if you work in either Bala 1 or Bala 3. My company has used both the Bala 1 & the bala 3 locations for catering and we've never had an issue. I've ordered food from the bala 3 location and have had some mixed feelings about orders. I've been in the food business before as a server, manager, and food prep so I am very patient and understanding of some mistakes in the kitchen. I don't care how pretty my omelet looks, an egg will taste like an egg. BUT, that all being said, I've have found a piece of a latex glove in my food, I've had an order completely wrong (i.e. I ordered an egg white omelet w/wheat toast. Got a regular omelet with regular toast) multiple times. I've seen moldy food on their shelves and now, I make a point to double check the food. OH and on top of all that, they had a security breach this year and 2 of my credit cards were constantly hacked and I had to get a couple new cards. They finally posted up a notice about it but it was a HUGE inconvenience. I'm lucky I had a limit and the hackers couldn't charge too much on them. I agree with the other comments. Their food is convenient and it's pricey. It works if you don't want to get stuck in traffic on city line ave and just want something quick. The manager does micro-manage his employees. Instead of micro-managing his employees he should be checking the food quality on his shelves or rotating the product so a customer isn't getting a moldy salad or moldy fruit. It's basically an OSHA violation. Especially, if someone gets sick. I only keep coming back because it's convenient and lately I have been getting good food, even if sometimes they mess up my order. (also, my comments are based off of the 3 bala location. I don't know how bala 1 is with lunch or breakfast) read more

Not impressed. I had a chicken parm sandwich a few weeks back which consisted of 2 chicken fingers and a long roll. They added cheese and sauce then heated it up. The worst was the price of $8 something they charged. Haven't eaten there since. read more

I went to Mangia for the first time today based on a co-worker recommendation and not only my salad delicious, but the staff was amazing as well! They were super friendly and when I left my credit card at the register, they DELIVERED it back to my office! That's the most fantastic customer service I've experienced in a long time. Very slow service, and the food is not that great. Since they are remodeling, they have a new online ordering system. I ordered eggs and spinach and paid online. Said it would be ready in 30 minutes. I thought the ordering online was great. However, the experiencing picking up my order not great at all. I went to the cashier and told her I had a pick up order. She asked for my name, I gave it to her, and she wanted to charge me again. I told her I paid online. She pointed me where to pick up from. I went to the counter. My order wasn't ready. (sigh) The women behind the counter asked what I ordered, I told her. She got on the walkie. 12 minutes later they brought in the spinach for her to put on top of the eggs. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!! I'd rather starve. 40 minutes for eggs in a box........ridiculous. Hopefully when they are done with their remodel, the service gets better. One can only hope. read more

It is convenient to have in the building (both 1 Bala and 3 Bala East) and the food is good but nothing out of the ordinary. It is also pretty pricey for certain things. Breakfast is by far the best. My biggest qualm with Mangia (specifically Manga East) is how terribly they treat their employees. The owner will consistently belittle and micromanage all of them while customers are right there watching. It infuriates and makes me extremely uncomfortable when I have to see/hear it. This probably explains the exceptionally high turnover rate. The owner is extremely friendly to the customers which is nice but he should consider acting the same way towards his employees. read more

On multiple occasions has Mangia in the Bala West building messed up my order, forgot to deliver my order, and my final straw was selling outdated milk. When the food is made correctly it is good but those times are few and far between. Convenient when trying to grab a quick lunch but after all my bad experiences will officially be boycotting. read more

I went to get something from their menu and the price I was charged was $2 and change more than advertised...not attractive, even if they are the only option in the building. They need competion, perhaps than they will reconsider. It's bad enough to only charge high prices but to not advertise those prices which would give ME the option to buy from here or elsewhere is simply highway robbery. It's especially bad for people that eat there often or don't pay attention to what they order. The service was good but all in all if I think that a place is trying to "get over" on my hard earned dollar than "Peace Sign"...I'm Out! Wawa and DD is close by...even if they are high, you can at least make an informed decision and have some variety in food and prices. read more

Good people, fast service. Hot food is half off after 2:30pm! Wish they stayed open til' 5pm though (they close at 3pm). A bit pricey, but the 2:30 sale helps. read more
