    Cheese Steak Sandwich

Came here after visiting FDR Park, our food was awesome and Nicole was great. We got cheesesteaks and a chicken parm sandwich but everything we saw come out looked good! My friend and I (both wheelchair users) were able to roll right up to a table once we got over the small lip to get inside and it wound up being the perfect height for both of our chairs.

Ewwww Total Disappointment. Greasy and under cooked. Flop is insane. So much for "well done"

if you like greasy undercooked slop, place order here at Celebre Pizzeria Dog didn't even finish it

They have pretty decent pizza. Occasionally I order delivery for dinner. It takes about 45mins to an hour during the evening time. Pizzaz specialty pizza was surprisingly really good (although the bottom crust I would've like to be cooked more). The cheese was great. The wings are usually solid. Would def try the other pizzas.

This is by far the best place for pizza in the South Philly and for getting together. My wife and I have been coming here off and on for more than 55 years. My family from (3) states meets every year around Christmas here to enjoy the pizza and the good company of those serving it..Again we hope to be at Celebre's Pizzeria next year For my wife and I no place in SC can match a good South Philly Pizza found here. Thanks Michael Spina for taking the time to take this year's picture of our outing.

So damn good I couldn't wait to take the picture

This is the best pizza spot in Philly bar none, the staff here treats you like family, been a 42 year customer and I'll die eating a slice here

Nice neighborhood type pizza place. Very friendly staff. Great to go before an event at the Wells Fargo Center. Plenty of parking in the lot. Pizazz is delicious. We added steak to half. Excellent. We'll be back to try the stromboli. Also ordered pick up before with no issues.

They are very close to the Linc and I think they were still upset about the Eagles losing and they had a lot of rules about where to order depending on whether you were eating in or taking out. Other than that this was a very good pizza shop cheesesteak. The grill man knows what he's doing. Everything spent time on the grill together, got to know each other and share their flavors. Termini Bakery is next door. The roll was very good. It had a good crust but was light and airy. Looking at Termini Bakery while biting the roll may have help. Good Cheesesteak experience.

    White Pizza with Onions

There are hundreds of pizza places in Philadelphia but Celebre's in South Philly is one of my favorites. It's conveniently located in a shopping center with its own parking lot which is nice when you want to run there for lunch during the workday. The staff is friendly and if you call ahead they'll have your pizza ready right when you get there which is also great for workday lunches. We only go there a few times a year since I try not to eat too many carbs, but the waitress always remembers us and if we don't call ahead, she remembers what we usually order as soon as we walk in. Yes, the reason she remembers our order is that we're hooked on the same thing every time. I'm a sucker for white pizza, and theirs is great. We get it with onions. It's not something I would've thought to order, but a friend suggested it one of the first times we went there and it's been our usual ever since. I've even driven into the city, and past about 1000 other pizza places, during the pandemic to grab one for takeout.

Our server apologized for a delay in taking our drink orders. She was attentive the rest of our meal. I ordered a Charles deGaulle whiskey cocktail. Lemon, aperol and simple syrup added a refreshing twist. For entrees, my wife ordered the pacherri; a simple pork ragu with tender broccoli rabe, Parmesan, stracciatello and basil. The dish was delicious. I enjoyed my plate of sea-inspired tonnarelli nero. Bay scallops in crab ragu with fennel sofrito. Served with squid ink pasta that imparted a slight brininess. The pasta was cooked pangrattato style-- coated in panko bread crumbs and garlic. The dish had many flavors but they all came back to the theme. Cocktail prices and entree prices were very reasonable. They offer happy hour drinks and specials. Certainly a very good choice if you're in the area.

The short rib over polenta was probably my favorite thing on the table - it fell apart easily and the polenta underneath wasn't as heavy as I expected it to be. We got the salted caramel budino for dessert too, and I was glad it wasn't one of those desserts that's so sweet you can only handle two bites. Would go back honestly. Probably order something different next time just to try more of the menu, but I'm getting that ricotta again no matter what.

While I might choose another place for takeout, when the goal is a night of pizza, wine, great atmosphere, and authentic neighborhood vibes, this is usually where we end up. The space is bright, industrial, airy, and thoughtfully designed but unforced. White walls, warm wood, considered lighting, and a floor plan with real breathing room. The vibe recalls Bucktown, Wicker Park, Williamsburg, and Greenpoint: design-forward but genuinely local. There's a great bar, and booths near the kitchen with glass windows that let you watch the staff. Our three-year-old was mesmerized, and the staff was warm and playful, smiling and waving while they cooked. A small detail, but memorable. The crowd feels local. Good music, friendly people, hip but never pretentious. It's just a fun place to be with great service, too. The food is outstanding. We usually order the chicories caesar with grana padano and breadcrumbs, and the lettuce salad with shaved vegetables and creamy oregano dressing. For pizza, we love the arrabbiata (the Angry pie) and tomato pie with sausage and pickled chilies. My wife enjoys the ice cream. A note on bringing kids: I don't think this is a family restaurant, but if your kids are curious and well-behaved, it's absolutely worth bringing them earlier in the evening. We've gone around 4:30 or 5:00 on weekends and always felt comfortable. One time, our daughter had a full meltdown, and we were mortified, but the staff couldn't have been cooler. They packed everything to go, kindly and without any judgment. That kind of grace is hard to fake, and it genuinely stuck with us. Pricing is fair for the quality of the food and the experience. Places like this can seem overrated or overpriced, but this one doesn't. It offers real value for a memorable night out. The whole restaurant feels like a microcosm of Philadelphia's progressive, creative side. There's real ambition behind it, but it still feels human and grounded, nothing sterile, nothing corporate, nothing over-engineered. Just smart people building a cool neighborhood place that others actually want to spend time in. Oh, and make a reservation. Great spot, Joe. We'll be back soon. Thank you!

The hostess took our coats (a nice touch!) and then a rotation of two servers explained the specials and we ordered. I love that the menu is on the shorter side and they rotate the pizza offerings, so even if you're visiting on a regular basis, you'll always be able to try something new. Additionally, when a menu is only about 2 pages, you know everything on those two pages is top notch, as was the case at Pizzeria Beddia. This evening we got the meatballs (didn't take a photo, was too excited, but they were HUGE and excellent) and the beef, pork and veal balls with a rich red sauce was outstanding. Came in an order of 2 but one was plenty for each of us. The Pizza we got had potatoes on it, and we added sausage per the servers recommendation, and it was cooked perfectly and all of the flavors blended so well together. We are so lucky to have an amazing (and nationally recognized!) pizza spot in the neighborhood and it's always nice when you can walk in without a reservation from time to time.

Fortunately, I got booked on a flight out the next morning and found a hotel in the city. I was immediately seated upon arriving to Pizzeria Vetri. I was asked if I wanted to sit at the bar, at a table, or at the pizza counter. I chose the pizza counter so that I could watch staff making pizzas. As I was there on my own, the serving staff continued to stop by and check on me. The menu includes neopolitan pizzas (12" feeding 1-2 people) and metro pizzas (28" feeding 3-4 people). They make pizzas, calzones, antipasti, and salads.
