I never really knew about this ethnic grocery store, it's in the strip mall at the SW corner of 45th St & Military. It's more of an international grocery store than an Asian mart. They have a mix of Asian, Caribbean, Hispanic/Latin, Middle Eastern foods. We came here to get some fruits, had to refill on my staple sauces for home and snacks for my niece. Selection of items are pretty wide ranged, some items you never even seen or heard of before. Large produce, seafood, meat departments, definitely not fancy like Whole Foods so don't expect that. They do have some prepared foods up front too if you want some immediate snacks. We bought some mochi ice cream but it looked like it was crushed from being at the bottom of the box and melted and re-frozen. We came back the next day, brought the receipt, they had no problem with exchange/refund. Overall, it had what we were looking for, prices seemed ok to me, don't expect wonderful customer service, you can say what's up to the armed security guard up front when you leave.

Beef empanada, spinach and cheese empanada, Cuban iced coffee! Just around $5

This review is for the quick service counter and the Jamaican food counter. There's a little stand when you walk in that sells Cuban coffee , empanadas another treats. Very reasonably priced . Around the corner there is a Jamaican kitchen that serves to go oxtail rice and peas, jerk chicken and other delicious Jamaican food. The portions are huge and again the prices are very reasonable.

This store carries a large selection of ethnic groceries. It's smaller than the stores in Atlanta, but I was able to find my favorite noodles plus some treats I had no business eating like steak-flavored Cheetos. They had a good selection of frozen dumplings and buns as well. There's a bakery close to the entrance. Years ago, they used to sell pork buns - the main reason I went, but they didn't have any. I wasn't able to find out if they sold out or didn't carry them anymore.

Consistent supermarket with international groceries. I trust this location as it is large and stocked to the brim with everything I need.

And the way I learned about it was from a Yelp review. When we entered, the gentleman was making a Turkish coffee for someone who had stopped by and putting out pastries in the case up front. We learned from him later that the various "delights" are made at a Turkish bakery in Miami. We browsed the aisles. In one of the refrigerated cases, we saw taramosalata (fish eggs/roe caviar dip), but the use by date was a bit short for us to use up the jar size in time. Maybe next time. Lots of dried fruits -- the dried medjool dates appealed -- along with canned goods from various cultures. A whole section of spices. Candies. Snacks. Drinks. Syrups. Nuts. Condiments. Olives. Canned/tinned fishes. etc. etc. Plus, fresh halal meat. We even got a sample of a small cube of pomegranate and cashew nut Turkish delight. This dessert features a layer of "gel" that binds everything together. The dessert is traditional -- it's been around for centuries -- but the creative ingredient combinations are more modern. In the case by the cash register, were various pastries including baklava -- regular size and minis; kunefe -- three types; Turkish delights with all varieties of nuts, coconut, and fruit/other flavors; to more recognizable desserts like a chocolate eclair filled with hazelnut paste (nutella). And machines to make different types of coffees. We wound up buying some Turkish honey with a chunk of honeycomb inside and some pastries -- mini baklava for me and some kunefe with pistachios for him. I'm sure we'll return when next in the area.

To me, theirs is the best. The chopped liver is surprising - rich but never grainy. My guilty pleasures include their curry chicken salad and macaroni salad. The butcher shop is great - although there are times when only one butcher is on duty and the wait is too long. The bakery has "everything" and their pizza shop outstanding. Their New York style pizza is one of the best anywhere in South Florida. Although I don't buy my wines there, their offerings are impressive - a broad and deep shop. Finally, their people are almost always friendly and helpful. Overall, I always have a comfortable shopping experience.

But I will continue to frequent Joseph's Italian Market. Better food & less pricey.
