We bought our Alfa Romeo from Mangoletsi 4 yrs ago and in all that time have received a first rate service . All staff are very welcoming and nothing is too much trouble . We got a great deal on our New Car and the salesman dealing with us was really laid back there was no pressure whatsoever. I can honestly say it is the best experience I have had buying a Car. They have done all our servicing and recently sorted out a small issue we were having with the Car , all done very quickly and professionally and at a competitive price. Fully recommend Mangoletsi for sales , service and aftercare and we hope to buy our next Car from them in the New Year. read more

Excellent customer service from Jamie Comley yet again. This is our second purchase and we have recommended to a family member who also bought from Jamie and Mangoletsi. Jamie went out of his way to get the best deal for us and spent time understanding our needs and sourcing the car we desired. We have also used Mangoletsi for servicing and found them to be competitive and reliable. 5/5 for customer service and no doubt we will use again. Highly recommended. read more

Mangoletsi has definitely changed, its not the same company it used to be. Was well known for giving good customer service and top quality cars. Now it just seems to be run by rude management. Wouldnt want my worst enemy to buy a car from here. Joe the salesman done his best but everything he tried to help with was stopped by the Sales manager Dave King who is just a rude and vile man. Buying a car should be a happy experience and not involve the sales manager shouting at me in the showroom. Shouldnt have a job in customer service doesnt know how to communicate and likes trying to talk down to people. read more

From the opening line of the 'salesman' when we first sat down "We operate like any car warehouse, we only make a couple hundred pounds on each car..", to the fact that he wanted to 'test drive' the car we were considering part-ex-ing before allowing us to even look at the cars we were interested in, to spending more time on trying to knock down the price on the potential trade-in than actually treating us like customers and understanding what we actually wanted left my wife and I feeling that we were very much in their 'sausage sales machine'. They do have some nice cars but unless you go expecting the same experience you'll do what we did and walk away. Avoid. read more

Another negative reivew here. Purchased a 2nd hand car from them in May 2014. Firstly, they broke a part prior to the sale. Fair enough, they owned up to it and said they would order a replace ment and send it to me. It took 4 months and several calls on my part chasing this this in order to get them to do it. Car was serviced by them before sale. They didn't reset the service light. Again, fair enough, these things happen. Have contacted them on numerous occaisions since them to get them to remedy the situation. All correspondence has been ignored by them. I've had to had this remedied at my own expense. This poor service means I will not be using them again and would definitely not recommend them to anyone. Just be aware of what you are getting into with them. read more

My first experience was I contacted them by telephone after seeing an Alpha Romeo on the website to ensure that the car was available to view. I was told it was on site and happily made an appointment for 3pm for the same day. After travelling almos 30 miles from home, I was horrified to be told that the car wasn't on site after all. Then they to tried influence me to view another car which in fairness was very nice albeit a lot more expensive. I showed interest and then they test drove my part-exchange. When it came for me to test drive their car, they wanted me to sign a document which would have committed me to an excess of £1,000 should I have been involved in an accident whilst on the test drive. Obviously, I declined the test drive and left the showroom. This weekend they have got a big sale on so once again I rang the showroom to see what range of deals they could offer. The salesman told me that he would get back in touch with me however, I am still waiting 4 days later!!! I have the ready cash and I am definately looking to change my vehicle however, Mangoletsi will not get my business as I have absolutely no confidence in this establishment. Another one star. They will do anything for you to get the deposit then nothing. Never ring you back. Don't ever answer to emails (suppose they can't say "I never told you that" if its down in writing). When you ring and ask for a certain salesman they are mysteriously always with a customer. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. read more

This is the worst experience I've ever had buying a used car the only thing they are interested in is getting your money off you and they will lie to do this I bought a 2014 Skoda from a salesman called Paul Atherton he told me on the phone before I went to see the car it had 2 previous keepers and full service history with 3 stamps in the book so I test drove the car and liked it he told me the car would be valeted before I collected and I went ahead with the purchase this is when the problems started I was told by him I couldn't collect the car on a weekend as they don't give cars out on a weekend then when I went to collect the car Paul was round the back of the garage jet washing the car because it hadn't been valeted I then got in the car and there was literally no diesel in it at all I got home and decided I would vacuum the car as it was new to me and I wanted it to be like new I noticed in the glove box there was no service history or MOT certificate I had been through the whole car when I cleaned it so I knew they weren't anywhere in the car so phoned Paul to be met with an arrogant attitude telling me they must be in the car and have I checked in the glove box have I checked here have I checked there I even went out to the car while he was on the phone even though I knew they weren't in there he then said it must be in the service department and he would get them posted to me in the coming week I waited and waited but never received anything meanwhile the logbook turned up with my name spelt wrong and number of former keepers was 3 so he'd lied about this I started to think has he lied about the service history and 2 months on it seems the answer is yes he had lied about the service history I've also been dealing with a sales manager called Dave king who is full of himself on the phone but when you get face to face seems to change his attitude I've never spent as much money as I did with this car and they both have made me feel so angry at times the customer care is 0 out of 10 they even told me to take the car back for a refund even though I'd spent money on the car which I wouldn't get back and would leave me without transport to get to work and get my family around I wish they hadn't lied about the service history and former keepers as it would have saved me time and the stress that I've had over Christmas please please think carefully before you buy from this company and always make sure you have everything you should before you leave the garage with your new car read more

Appalling customer service. Kept waiting even when we'd made an appointment and paid a deposit, no wish to engage with us when we had some questions and serious concerns about the awful brakes on a car we were interested in. We went away and thought about it, called back to discuss some more it took them a full working day to get back to us, just to say someone would call again and then nothing. Deposit not back yet 3 wks later. Looks like we had a close call, stay well clear!! read more

Purchased a 2nd hand car and traded in my car. Both were Fiat Models. Very smooth transaction, two different Salesmen whom I dealt with were both efficient, friendly and very helpful and accommodating. Overall a good and pleasant experience. I would certainly recommend them. Ordered kick plates through Salesman from Parts Department, they were in the day they said they would be Mangoletsi telephoned me to say they were in, and the Salesman put them on for me. Very helpful and pleasant Staff. read more

Seemingly I have to add to the negative reviews about this company. Summary of events surrounding the purchase of a new Giuletta being : Contacted them by telephone (They are 250 miles away from me). Received a call back offering a deal which was better than my local dealer had offered. Order form received on the day after, along with email basically telling me that I could ignore certain parts as these were for Alfa use only. Two emails on the third day promising the finance documents. Nothing received. Vehicle registration documents arrived (note finance documents still not arrived). Finance documents were finally emailed 12 days later. The final payment price had risen by £295. Emailed them to question this, received a take or leave it style reply. As car was already registered in my name and time had elapsed I decided to carry on reluctantly. Absolutely no contact from the dealer thereafter regarding the delivery. I finally had to ask the question myself, by which time two further weeks had passed. Actually not a major problem as I was on holiday in Greece at the time. This does however demonstrate their poor customer service ethic. Car arrived with only 10 months road fund remaining. Order clearly states that it would be supplied with 12 months tax. Complained in an email, detailing all of the above. Finally received a response stating how concerned they were about my complaints. This resulted in a promise to telephone me to discuss. In fact four promised telephone conversations didn't happen. In view of the failed telephone calls I wrote a personal letter to the MD. No response to that. So I wrote to Alfa Romeo UK. They managed to get hold of the General Manager who sent me, what appeared to be a declaration of internal warfare to get my complaints resolved. Usual stuff, unacceptable, will be dealt with severely etc. etc. That was four weeks ago, I haven't heard a word since and a follow-up email has been ignored. Bottom line from my experience is that I wouldn't go back to this dealer if they were offered cars free of charge. The only experience worse than this has been a crowd known as Gemini Communications in Manchester. I suspect that they recruit staff from the same source !! read more

Unfortunately I, too, have to leave an unfavourable review of Mangoletsi. I went to see them last year as I wanted to buy an Alfa Romeo Giuletta. To be fair, initially the sales people were very friendly and helpful. It's what happened later than ensured that I took my business elsewhere. I had been living abroad for a few years and recently returned to the UK. What this meant was that I didn't have a credit rating, so it would have been difficult for me to secure finance. I explained this to the guys there, and showed them a copy of my job contract which stated my salary and car allowance. I put down a £500 deposit anyway, and they said they'd call me when they heard back from their finance company. Well, surprise surprise, I was turned down for credit. This was obviously not the fault of Mangoletsi, but they just dropped me like a hot potato. They didn't call me to let me know, I just presumed that I'd been turned down because they didn't call. It took me a month and several phone calls just to get my deposit back. They clearly are just after the short-term wins as it didn't occur to them that some day in the near future I'd be eligible and would want to buy a beautiful new car. Fast-forward a few months and I decided that I'd probably have enough credit by now, so I went along to Bauer Millett Alfa Romeo in Manchester. This time I was accepted and got my lovely car. The guys at Bauer MIllett were amazing, even when I told them that I might not get credit. Because they took me seriously and treated me well, they have me as a customer for life (it will be too now that I've driven an Alfa I can't drive anything else!). So, bottom line: if it's an Alfa Romeo you're after, don't go to Mangoletsi. Go to Bauer Millett who really care about their customers. read more

Shocking liars AVOID at all costs !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Left a deposit on a car and then on further investigation it turns out to be an ex driving school car that had been driven by 100s of inexperienced driversthe car would have had several premature faults if we had bought it i.e gearbox and clutch. They where selling it as a ONE owner car, shocking from a main authorised dealer. They fully knew it was a an ex driving school car as they even removed the pedals Went on the uk Alfa romeo forum and this seems like common practice they often sell ex hire cars, lease cars, driving school cars etc as ONE owner cars. Have a look on the forum.. You have been warned they are crooks so beware, they are very friendly dont be fooled, they are only thinking of their commission not the customer. They are selling cheap stock at main dealer A1 prices read more
