They are very skilled and go hands on to help you set up your rod & reel, give you tips and pointers, as well as take your catch off the hook for you so you don't get yourself cut up! They even clean and filet them for you!! If you're a skilled fisher they let you be to do your own thing. Not only are they super helpful but they are incredibly friendly, funny and entertaining! They gave us lots of ideas for things to do in the area also. Super great crew! If you slow down catching fish they will move to a different area to make the most of the fishing! We say a few dolphins swimming with us along the way also. I highly recommend this trip for single people, couples or the entire family. We met some great people (mostly locals) on the trip that we call family now! (Terry & Terrance) Drew & the rest of the crew were awesome. They cook breakfast & lunch! For a small fee ($4 to $5) you can buy breakfast sandwiches, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, chips, snacks, soda, water and beer. We went in early May so we caught mostly grunts but several people caught hog fish as well. Your bait and tackle is included but they have frozen shrimp for an additional $5 if you want to fish for bigger fish.

Beautiful open tropical green spaces, Picnic areas with BBQ's & Shelters, lots of shady areas & small green forestry areas. A lovely playground area for the kids, very nice restrooms, trails, fishing piers, lookout towers, wildfire all over, gorgeous views of the mangroves. A nature lovers paradise. Photo ops in every direction. Birds everywhere, perfectly preserved natural habitats, the sounds of nature all around, trickling water sounds in the distance. No signs of civilization. Not another human in sight. You would not think that this kind of hidden, almost untouched, natural treasure exist so close to the city, but it does. And it's very well maintained. While I was there a single gardener came briefly, checked things out, weed wacked around the edge of a sidewalk & left. As it already looked perfectly manicured when he showed up. I was there for a long time & there was no one else there except the brief visit from the landscaper & one other gentleman I had a brief but lovely conversation with. When I first got there, I ran into this one single gentleman that was bow hunting. He had a great big bow & arrows. I asked him if he had seen any of the Flamingos & he said "not today" I took that as a good sign to keep exploring as I must be close! haha. Later on, as I was leaving that same gentleman went back to his truck put his bow away & got out his fishing pole & gear. I thanked him for his time again & wished him luck fishing. He then wished me luck on my hunt for the wild flamingos & quickly, silently, vanished back into the woods. New Port Richey is a gorgeous place that has it all. It's quickly becoming my favorite playground on Florida's iconic Nature Coast. Highest Recommendations.

But unless you are a local they could care less about you. You will not catch anything but tiny grunts if you dont bring your own bait. The captain kept moving the boat even tho we were catching grunts. It kept moving because the locals they cater too werent catching hogfish. This boat was on a hogfish trip and the saps paying 90 bucks to catch a few grunts are who pays for it. The mates were hustling but only for the local hogfish fishermen. Do yourself a favor and find a boat that actually cares about you. The boat wasent terrible, the galley was very run down. Nothing like the pics they advertise. Never ever again.

This is recent new ownership of the former Twisted Tuna. Service is very good by the wait staff. Food is hard to really rate bc it's been inconsistent at times since changing hands. I suspect the new owners have some staffing problems. Oysters are good, seared aha tuna items are very good. Some ahi tuna choices are not seared so be sure to ask for it seared regardless. The salads have been great. The margarita pizza very good (all but one time). When the new owners get everything running as it should, the restaurant will be even better than it was. The owners have been in the restaurant business for years with another 2Georges restaurant that is very popular in another location.

I cannot tell you the amount of wildlife we saw. It was absolutely amazing. We saw Osprey and Ibis and tricolor Heron. The list goes on and on. We also saw a pair of osprey in a nest. We also saw a black vulture, a ring, neck, snake and various ducks not to mention a bald eagle juvenile. The water is beautiful. You can walk out on the dock and get a Birdseye view of the golf. The sign upon entering clearly says: "No swimming allowed here" and I wondered why is that? This park is clearly on the edge of the Gulf of Mexico with a large beach area, so why no swimming? That is a great question. As you enter the park, even from my photo of the park sign at the entrance you can see this very creepy plant in the background. So I wondered if that had anything to do with the "no swimming" rules. So I did some digging & this is what I learned. The very creepy plant adjacent to this park is a power plant called the "Anclote Power Plant" owned by Progress Energy (located near Holiday, Fla. in Pasco County) It generates more than 1,000 megawatts (MW) from two steam units. "Progress Energy Florida" says it's to convert the Anclote Power Plant to CLEANER natural gas. Their webpage says that the Emissions-reducing conversion will "ALLOW" the company to comply with "NEW" federal standards. Hua? (Not good word salad folks) yikes. BECAUSE, "Currently, the plant uses oil & natural gas. The change is required to "ALLOW" the company to comply with "NEW" federal emission standards for coal & oil-fired generating units, including the EPA's new "MERCURY and AIR TOXICS STANDARDS" (MATS) rule." YIKES. (Nope, not good word salad folks) No wonder there is no swimming allowed. Do not recommend.

His boat is small but efficient, clean and perfect for getting you in areas that other big boats cannot. My husband, grandson (19) and i fished with him today from Tarpon Springs. We did a four hour trip. We had a great experience thanks to Corey's knowledge of the area and his persistent attitude. You could tell he enjoyed seeing us catch fish. It was windy and cool but we persuaded him to take us out and with his help, we caught a whole bunch of fish! 3 Snook 5 Sea Trout 1 Red fish And a few turns! Anyway, the guy next to him seemed good too but Corey's boat is clean and he's sweet. Thank you Corey for an amazing day!
