Everything felt clean and well kept, and it wasn't overly crowded, which made the experience even better. The highlight for us was spotting a stingray swimming right near the pier such a cool and unexpected moment. Watching it glide through the water made the whole visit feel special, especially for my daughter. It's those little surprises that turn a good stop into a great one. We had a lot of fun. Overall, the Safety Harbor Pier is a perfect spot for a peaceful walk, some great views, and even a chance to see some wildlife up close. Everyone on our boat caught a fish actually 10 or more unless you were asleep. This is the number one for fishing in Clearwater. So this is the second time I have booked with this company. First time was on a bigger boat with an…read moreair-conditioned inside area. The boat I was on today was not air-conditioned inside, but still a decent size boat. The larger boat has places to lay down in case you're not feeling well. The smaller boat does not. In both instances there was only two people helping out when you needed assistance both times there were someone new and unexperienced. Fortunately for me, I know how to fish, add a new hook as needed, and takeoff my own fish so instead of waiting around, I often not only helped myself but helped those around me. Very discouraging since they do not have hand rags. Being this is my second time I was aware of this so I brought my own this time around. The spool on the fishing rods are awful... I'm not certain how often they change the line out or get out the bubbles in the lines. Several people around me were having issues. On both cases there was only one large catch of the day. Most of what I caught were grunts and Porgies- both which do not have size limits. I kept only the large ones. - about 1'0" The boat I was on today only offered squid and shrimp.- no fish for bait. My suggestion is to check which boat you're on and if there's air-conditioning., bring some hand towels/rags, nail clippers, and your own needle nose pliers. I almost forgot to mention that my most recent experience, one of the guys was walking around, smoking the entire time and for someone who has severe asthma and heart conditions. This was a huge problem. The rating has since come down to a three. Do I dare go on this boat again? Hummmmm I don't know....would you?

Baseball hats were priced at $8.95, which is pretty good in my opinion. Simple Clearwater Beach t-shirts were also the same price, anytime I can buy a tee for under $10 it's a decent deal. They had other seashell related souvenirs. Kids beach toys are also for sale. The snack section was small, but they do have a nice amount of drinks, which is handy for those hot beach days. Also for sale were postcards, magnets and stickers. Ice is also for sale!

A lot of different birds to see and it's great for a walk or bike ride. We loved walking here during the Safety Harbor BDR (race) and took our time to enjoy the views. I have visited several times and every time it is gorgeous on the way in and out. Appreciate the varied places to stop, rest and take photos too.

We went out at night due to my work schedule and this was a whole new type of sight fishing for me. Court found the Tarpon and showed me his techniques for catching them at night. I hooked onto 4 of them and wow what an impressive powerful fish. As soon as you hook one they just explode, run, and leap into the air. One of them jumped out right next to the boat and about spooked the bejesus out of me. This was by far the most exciting fishing I've ever done, these Tarpons are fighters and are "4 for 4" with me now, but I"ll be back and land one of these... one day. I would definitely recommend a fishing trip with Court, he was professional, prepared, his boat was well kept and ran flawlessly, he is very personable and friendly...and so on...but most importantly... I HOOKED AND FOUGHT 4 MONSTER TARPONS...my first time out for Tarpon !!! Thanks for the good time Court I will be back to fish with you again!

Beautiful beach that has tons of shells…read more This beach is emptier than others because you have to take a ferry to get to it and you have a four hour limit. We aren't major beach people, but I got really interested recently in finding shells. We were at Clearwater Beach and didn't see a lot of shells so I did research into where we could find an abundance of shells and this was one of the beaches that popped up. They have so many shells, but all the shells are very similar. They are the clamshell looking type. So if you're looking for a variety of shells, I would suggest going elsewhere. However, I was super excited to find all of these shells. We ended up getting buckets full of them. You pay eight dollars to get into honeymoon State Park. Then you follow the signs to the parking lot where it is $20 per adult and $12 per child, five and under are free, for the ferry ride. The ferry ride is a boat that is actually quite fun for the children. It's about 10 minutes and in the morning, you can see dolphins and the ferry will stop to look at them. They can fit about 45 to 50 people on each boat, and they do fill up. The first boat is at 10 AM and leaves every half hour after that. You can rent two beach chairs and an umbrella for $35 and they have food and drinks that you can buy on the island. Since you can't bring carts most people travel light so we didn't bring shade or seats. Being that our whole goal was to find shells we weren't sitting much anyways. It is pretty empty. This is not a packed beach at all and we were there on a Saturday in the summer so prime beach season. The sand is white and fine and the water is beautiful. If you're looking for a beach that isn't that crowded I would highly recommend coming here.

A short drive to the paying booth for taking the ferry from honeymoon to caladesi. It is $20 dollars but they do take military discount too! The two guys on the boat are very funny guys. The captain loves to tell dad jokes and the other tells you fun facts about the islands. It's a short ride to caladesi. Once we arrived there was lots to explore however my friend and I just had a beach day. There is construction going on due to the past hurricanes but there is bathrooms, a cafe, and plenty of shade and trails! I can't wait to go back and explore more. The ferry takes off from honeymoon every hour and from caladesi every half hour. Highly recommend a day trip here!! Water is so nice.
