Finally a clean nail place with a large selection of shellac and sterilizes all their tools. Came in to get my nails done for a wedding, the place closest to me was closed so thought it'll be worth trying a new place. This place is quite new, around for about 2 months. First impression is that it is bright and clean. I noticed that there were sterilization machines for the tools, and all files were individually wrapped and disposable. Very nice. They had a large selection of shellac colours, which included OPI (my favourite) and colour changing ones ($5 extra). They took their time to take of my existing shellac and manicure. The led lights used were the original OPI lamps, which cures it properly. One qualm I have is that the layers were a bit thicker than I would have liked, but not a big deal. I came in with uneven, bumpy bio gel nails from a different nail salon in Brampton. I got assigned to Hanna and she did such an amazing job! This is the best salon I have even been to and I've been to multiple ones in the Newmarket/aurora area. I recommend Hanna and all the lovely women working here as they all take their time and satisfy every customer. They answer all questions and/or concerns to their full knowledge. This used to be a great place for nails but not anymore. There is mostly new staff and they do not give the same quality service I'm used to there. I've left with polish applied sloppy and uneven; and is cracked across the nail and chipped at the ends before the day is over. The nails are not filed properly, are rough and misshaped. They're quick to get their back up if you dare to complain. I work in an office and normally go every two weeks due to nail growth, the polish would normally still be good. Extremely disappointed. I have been coming here for several months now, but my last two visits have been nothing but an annoyance and waste of time. I am a client that always will book an appointment in advance, but here appointments are meaningless. Specifically, my most recent visit (similar to my other one) I had an appointment booked for 5:45PM, but when I walked in the door I was completely shocked to see that all technicians were taken, I was told they would be right with me. But, I was stuck waiting by the front door for 45 Minutes after my appointment, to finally be taken in. My mom was also with me, who also had an appointment, she unfortunately was unable to get her nails done because of the extremely long wait (1HOUR). To anyone that is looking for a new nail salon, I would recommend just being a walk-in client here, because they take priority, rather than booked appointments. I will be taking my business elsewhere due to the outcome of my two previous visits, it is not worth the frustration. read more

I'm new to Aurora and have been trying out a couple different places... this one is by far the worst. My nail technician was actively rude to me and didn't do what I asked for her to do. Second, I was supposed to get a Brazilian wax, but the place was so dirty I decided it was better safe than sorry. They also couldn't answer whether they used hard or soft wax. The price they quoted me on the phone magically doubled when it came time to pay and they couldn't explain why. Most importantly, no Covid-19 physical distancing measures were followed -- everyone was approximately a foot apart. Will definitely not be returning and will not recommend to anyone. read more

So basically I had my app at 5 and I got there and there was no seats. I was like ok should I just come back even tho I had an appointment and the girl was Like no just stay we're almost done. So i waited till after 6. I was about to leave and she apologized and she was like okay like we're ready so whatever. I sit down show her the design I wanted and this girl tells me $180-190 FOR A design? No nail tech charges prices like that even in Toronto, what a rip off. So I told her let's do a basic French nail. she takes 3 and a half f*cking hours to do my nails. On top of that she cut my fingers on two different areas which got infected and made me stay after closing for pictures. I paid $155 for basic a*s acrylic french nails. i reached out to owner who was a complete a*shole and it just goes to show all these places care about is your money in their pockets. They are very skilled in nail design but the customer service is sorely lacking. Try calling for an appointment for example and the person answering will (without warning) just drop the call and decide to start talking with other people. You're not treated like a customer but just another number. You will have to wait even for an appointment as they unfortunately double book or get packed. It was my wedding day and I came here for wedding nails, they didn't even TRY to accommodate or be kind to me and didn't even wish me well or a simple congratulations, absolutely nothing. I have rarely experienced this bad customer service from any small business but felt inclined to review because I think it should be improved. That said they do a good job but I won't be returning. During COVID-19, there's too many businesses that appreciate customers and I'll be going there. read more

I love this nail salon! It was a nice, friendly and clean environment. I got a full acrylic set with shellac polish. Sun was the one who did my nails and I love how she took the time to make sure the shape was perfect! I made an appointment with a friend and we were attended to almost as soon as we walked in. I have been there 2 times and noticed that the man who deals with the transactions is very rude. This man needs to learn some etiquettes.

I live in the area and this is the only nail place I go to. It is by far one of the cleanest nail salons I have ever been to- they always use a new set of tools for each client! The products they use are top quality - my shellac manicure always stays on for 3-4 weeks! Save your money and don't bother trying the other mediocre places on Bayview. read more

This is one of the best places I've been too and I am a regular. They are clean, sanitize all equipment, and they use a new nail file, cuticle pusher, etc for every customer and then discard it or you can keep it. Great selection of nail polishes, OPI and other brands. Staff is very experience and attention to detail. My favourite person there is Vicki, she's amazing at what she does, a perfectionist but they are all great technicians there. Owners are friendly, run a great shop and clean. Check this place out and make sure if you are going on a weekend make an appointment as they get busy!! read more

I've been here twice so far and would give it an average of 4 stars. First time i was here was the day before my prom and my nails were rushed and they kept my friend waiting for 40 minutes to START her pedicure. It was packed and i think they were trying to accommodate too many people. My nails looked sloppy and i still had a lot of cuticle skin on my finger nails and my nails were bumpy on the sides (i got an acrylic full set) but nonetheless, i still enjoyed them. I decided to give them another chance a month later to see if the prom day was just a fluke, and it definitely was. I went in at 5pm on a wednesday and i had my pedicure started right away, and even had someone start on my manicure while having my pedicure done. Both ladies were so nice and didn't pressure me to have small talk and did such an amazing job. The lady doing my manicure (don't know her name, she didn't have a name tag) was so amazing and paid so much attention to detail and even gave me options which would make my nails look even better. The second time around i was definitely more impressed and would 100% come back again read more

As part of my ongoing hunt for a great nail place in Aurora, I visited Mani n Nails for a shellac manicure. Not too bad at all! The place was busy but it was easy to get an appointment. There are lots of stations and there are TVs set up to watch during your treatment if you're not feeling chatty. The lady who worked on my nails was very pleasant, but didn't speak much English so I mostly just watched the music videos they were playing which was a fun mix of 80's retro and a few random Christmas songs?! lol The thing I liked the best was the attention to cleanliness of their instruments. The sterilization is on display so everyone can see that the tools have been cleaned. HUGE bonus. This place is good if you like an upbeat atmosphere. I will be giving them another try and will also try out a pedicure next time too. read more

This was my first and last visit to this salon. I chose the perfect match nail polish, which was shellac on my hands and the "perfect match" polish for my feet. The colour was close but NOT a perfect match. I waited about 30 hours before I put closed toe shoes on and the nail polish smudged off the tips of both big toes. I have NEVER had this happen before. I have been getting pedicures for over 15 years and my husband used to own a nail salon. So I called them and they said that they did not guarantee non-shellac nail polish but would take a look. When I got there, they agreed to repaint them but I paid an extra $5 for the longer lasting OPI nail polish. Guess what? It wasn't longer lasting and did the same thing. The shellac that I got on my hands was the worst. It discoloured and stained with dirt. It also is coming of the tips. Again, I have never experienced such poor quality nail polish. This is too bad because the nail tech did an exceptional job and gave a great massage. Unfortunately for me, I went on vacation for two weeks and suffered for those two weeks having disgusting nails. I did not go on a beach/pool vacation so I was NOT in the water. I'm not sure what kind of polish they are using but it is terrible and did not even last 24 hours, even the shellac. The worst part is that this salon is more expensive than other salons AND they charge even more for the "longer lasting" polish which is no different than the regular polish. Stay away from this place. Further to the response from the salon, I have been doing a similar colour of shellac on my nails since April (it is now the end of July) and have never had a problem with staining at my usual salon. After a couple of days my nails looked dirty. Now they look filthy. And they shouldn't call it perfect match if it's not a perfect match. read more

The best salon I have been to so far. Pricing is transparent and fair. The lady doing my nails was great about explaining how certain things worked- for example, I complained about how when I got bio gel at another salon that it burned when I put it under the lamp to cure and asked her to take it easy on the filing. She was extremely gentle and careful with filing my existing polish off while teaching me to slowly put my nails into the light to cure and to pull them out and reinsert to lessen the burning sensation. She also suggested other options that might cause me less discomfort. I really appreciated her attentiveness to my needs. Didn't feel rushed, my nails look amazing. Will be returning! read more

I went there on February 17th for a booked appt for 3:30pm. When I got there, one of the ladies claimed she didn't see my appt in the schedule. I told her the man called me back to confirm an appt for me but she kept insisting it's not there.. I told her I had the phone record. She kept repeating it's not there, even one of the clients asked her whether the man was still there and I hear her whisper he left already.. She then asked me to come back at the end of the day because they were fully booked. I don't usually get upset but this was a bit ridiculous. The whole point of me making an appt was to be courteous to them. It's so unfortunate because I had a fine experience with them the first time I went there for a shellac pedicure and manicure (it was with the older lady). However, my sister-in-law has mentioned that the last few times she's been, the girls were being too quick and cutting her cuticles too close, to the point where it would be nicked. They are clean in that they sterilize all their instruments and cover the pedicure bowls with a plastic bag. read more

It was busy and my attendant seemed to rush through the job. Like the previous reviewer....the polish did not last at all. Ti has been doing my nails since they have opened. She is absolutely amazing. Ti books up fast do I suggest calling a few days before. Also Ti does the best job so far that I found for waxing. I drive almost an hour each way to see her. But she does a Brazilian wax so fast and less painful than anywhere else I have gone. I dread it but she always calms me down and before I know it it's all over. And she doesn't miss anything and she does it in a way that it doesn't grow back too fast either. First time to Mani N Nails, and I will definitely be back. Great service. I had the spa pedicure and decided to add a manicure half way through. They accommodated the change no problem. I had Ivy and she was wonderful. She gave a great leg massage, with real knowledge of pressure points. She gave some good advice on help with circulation. The hot stones at the end of the massage were a real treat! Simply good service. Very clean and friendly. Would recommend it. read more

WORST NAIL PLACE EVER. I got acrylic nails and two nails broke after one week of having them done. So I called and asked if they would fix them for free and they agreed. The girl on the phone was very rude and I have noticed this a few times. I made an appointment anyway for 6pm and by 6:50 I had not even been seated yet. NOT only that but they had also taken people without appointments, and with appointments at 6:30 before me. I was so mad I ended up just leaving after almost an hour of waiting and I did not even get my nails fixed. If I could give this place zero stars I would AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. Fraud?? The man at the desk refused to give a receipt if I paid cash. If I paid debit, I could get a debit transaction slip - but still no proper receipt. Isn't this against the law in Canada? Canada Revenue says that a business must provide a receipt showing the business name and address and the amount of the sale with taxes (if charged). If HST is charged (which for this business, it would be), the receipt must show the HST number. So - simply put - this business is committing tax fraud and CRA should shut them down! read more

I decided to try a new nail salon so I came here. I am very satisfied with there work but there prices are very un organized as i have always paid 35 for an acrylic fill whenever i came here but recently they charged me 40 for the same procedure I always get and when i called the lady out on it she got very angry at me. Also when i went to go her a fill they charged me 5 extra dollars another time to fix only 1 nail. What a shame this place had great potential i really wish they would be more honest and consistent with there prices :( read more

For the 3rd time I booked an appointment and was made to wait anywhere from 40 mins to 1 hour. The staff encourage you to book ahead of time, however they take all walk ins so when you arrive for your appointment there is no one available.
