Aside from mourning your dead, Manila Memorial Park can actually be an enjoyable place to be if you like to walk and you like nature. It's a patch of green (and grim) here in this drabby, polluted area of Parañaque. I don't even know how to say this without sounding like the gigantic weirdo I am, but I actually do find this place rather relaxing and pleasant. I mean, it should be. It's meant for eternal repose after all...
You can spend afternoons here just strolling around, admiring gravestone designs, playing with the park's kitty cats, to name a few "activities". A lot of people actually jog, bike, and practice driving here as well. It's a huuuge park, so there is plenty of room to get some exercise done. I wouldn't go as far as to actually have a picnic here, but I've actually always wanted to.
You can also take photos and spook yourself out. If you stay long enough after sundown, orbs even show up in your photos! read more
