They also accept unopened baby diapers and wipes, and new/unopened makeup and toiletries as well. They accept seasonally appropriate donations several times throughout the month and the days/times are listed on their website. I've only gone straight to the building, but they also list alternative locations to drop off your donations across Loudoun, Fairfax, Prince William, and Stanford counties. They also offer other ways to donate such as monetary, Amazon wishlists, assembling snack packs, and hosting donation drives. The volunteers who accept and sort donations have always been warm and friendly each time I've dropped items off.

When searching for a non profit in the area to try and help support- I thought to the most basic needs of a human's life. Shelter, Water, Food. Nobody should be without a home. And Bethesda Cares feels the same way. Not only do they offer lunches throughout the week, they provide shower facilities, daytime shelter, and mail services. To prevent those from becoming homeless, they work with people who are in apartments but are in danger of having their utilities shut off, or people who are possibly facing eviction. They are truly angels - and contrary to the name- Bethesda Cares serves those through the county. There are more than 800 chronically homeless citizens. Some with mental and physical health issues. As a community of millions, we should be able to ban together to help Bethesda Cares in it's mission and end homelessness in the region. I will continue to help them whenever I can, and I hope that these amazing people are blessed in each and every part of their lives.

Their belief that people need housing as a base for getting stabilized, is well grounded in research. Bethesda Cares works on a small budget, and they keep costs down, so 95% of donated dollars go directly into housing people. They are dependent on donations, and are appreciative of every dollar donors give to them.

Maryland Food Bank thrives off of weekend volunteer hours for packers in their conveyor belt area to box canned goods and boxed foods as they'd otherwise have to bill these hours to payroll. I enjoyed myself and even got in a little cardio as the belt moved more and more foodstuffs through. I was in charge of canned veggies and boy were there lots of them. It was a good time and I can't wait to go back!

The store is organized by type and size and they have changing rooms. The prices are fixed for each type of item so you could find some things for a great price and other things may be a little overpriced. The staff were very kind and welcoming here. Goodwill has sales every week on specific tags so keep an eye out and sign up for their loyalty program.

I highly recommend using this company because they treat your donation items carefully. If you especially have items you can't use any longer but could use a new home this is the company to use.
