During my time as a customer, I noticed that processing rates and fees were increased multiple times without prior notice. Each time, I had to contact the company myself to question the unexpected charges, and only then were the rates adjusted back to the originally agreed terms. In addition, the annual fee was raised without any advance communication or explanation. Most concerning, on March 19, 2026, my account was charged $347 related to fraudulent transactions. I immediately requested both a refund and clarification, and have followed up more than five or six times since then. Every representative I spoke with assured me the issue would be resolved, yet I never received any meaningful update or response. Instead, I was left to repeatedly follow up by email and phone, with many calls going unanswered. It was also disappointing to be asked to leave 5-star reviews while these serious issues remained unresolved. Under these circumstances, I cannot in good faith recommend this company. In my opinion, the level of service, transparency, and communication I received was highly unsatisfactory. Based on my personal experience, I would strongly encourage others to carefully consider alternative providers before choosing Merchant One.
