Skye reached out to me on the day I was scheduled to arrive home and said that she was heading out but oh by the way Rudy seemed to be "panting" alot the evening before and that day. She stated she would turn the a/c down for him. She did not send any other information about his condition. She did not contact a vet to ask about or evaluate his symptoms. I arrived home 5 hours later to my dog in labored breathing, unable to lift himself up. I immediately rushed him to an emergency vet, spent hundreds of dollars trying to save him but ultimately he died in my arms less than 3h later. Rudy died from fluid accumulation pressing down on his lungs and suffocated to death. This is not something that develops rapidly, he had been in this state for at least 24h before his death per the vet. As an "EMT", and petsitter, Skye should have been able to tell the difference between "panting" and labor breathing - she did nothing and left my dog to slowly suffocate alone and scared. This review is genuinely to warn other pet owners that this woman is not qualified to take care of your dog, especially if they are older or have medical conditions. Please seek petsitting services elsewhere, I wish everyday that I had. I'm not sure if Skye will respond to this or not (she has threatened to) but I have texts, vet bills, and medical records from his emergency treatment that I am happy to share if she denies this. She has been paid for her services (again this is documented) and has filed a claim in small claims court to extract more money. While our family was out of town, my father boarded his dog at this facility. Due to inadequate security measures (confirmed by a confidential message to us by one of their employees) she got out and went missing on Friday morning. Shockingly, my father was not contacted until late Saturday afternoon and only received a vague text asking if he could talk. When he called back, there was no response. It wasn't until Sunday morning, (over 40 hours later) after he followed up again, that he was told his dog was missing. Even more concerning, the owner flat out lied about when the dog went missing. She claimed it happened on Saturday, but both the Humane Society and the Good Samaritan who found the dog confirmed it was Friday morning. This was not a misunderstanding--it was a clear attempt to mislead our family about the timeline. Thanks to the community, the dog was found and safely returned. However, the lack of timely communication, the negligence that led to her escape, and the dishonesty from the owner made a terrible situation even worse. Based on our experience, we cannot in good conscience recommend this facility to any pet owner.

And the staff is truly amazing. They are very professional, helpful, and so kind. With having a Rottweiler they can often be intimidating but these staff get to know the dogs and create bonds and relationships. My dog is no longer afraid to go, he gets excited when he's the staff and they're excited to see him. I would 100% recommend this place if your dog is not the group boarding type and you need a secure and safe place to leave your fur babies.

At Kennel Crest my dog gets her own run with half of the run being inside and the other half being outside. There is a doggie door connecting the two sides so my dog can choose whether she wants to be inside or outside. The inside half is air conditioned/heated. The lower half of the run wall is concrete and the upper half is chain link fencing. They take my dog out of her kennel run twice a day and place her in a fenced-in area outside (by herself, not with other dogs, which is important to me) and clean her kennel twice a day. The first time I boarded my dog I asked staff to place her in a kennel at the far end, against the wall, so it would minimize her interaction with other dogs. (I didn't want her to frighten other dogs and stress them out) The staff were more than happy to accommodate my request and must have written a note in my account because the second time I boarded her they already had the same kennel set up for her and knew I was going to request the last kennel. I appreciate that they let me walk my dog to her kennel so I can see exactly where she will be at. They fed her twice a day, at my request, and gave her a chew bone every day like I requested. My dog completely destroyed her bed I brought so the staff set it aside in case I wanted to keep it, which I thought was a nice gesture. They gave her blankets to sleep on instead. I also expected my dog to be a little dirty from spending a week in a kennel but she actually looked cleaner when I picked her up. My husband even asked if they gave her a bath. I don't think they did but if they did that's great! My dog seems happy when I pick her up from Kennel Crest which in turn makes me happy!!! I would highly recommend.

Tony was great, and he had dogs himself. It was very evident he was a dog lover. My Layla went right up to him. He would sent daily progress reports along with pictures of Layla. My girl is very shy but she seemed to warm up towards Antonio towards the end. I am very grateful that he was able to walk and play with my dog during my absence.
