10+ years of good service but today not happy I was running late even called to say running late…read morestep in about 12 minutes late and still they would not see my pet. Service has gone down hill and they are not going to accommodate you without letting you know it is inconvenient. The care is good and the Vets are good -no issue there.

My first red flag should've been the fact that they had open availability when no other vet in town…read moredid but I was rushing to get my dog updated on her shots and a badly needed nail trim. The woman who took care of our pup was less than personable, the tone almost condescending through the phone and during the appointment although that wasn't the issue as I understand that some people are just like that whether they are at work or in their personal life. One of the first things this woman blurted out to 2 young kids in their 20's was "I can see some buildup on her teeth so she'll need a cleaning. That runs around $600 for anesthesia" and a list of other things in a teeth cleaning I cannot remember at this time. My dog is only three years old it's not like she's old with a huge amount of tartar buildup. There was no "I recommend this chew" or "try brushing with this toothpaste" and this was on top of the $300 some bill for her shots and other extra things that she was recommending that day. My pup requires care and i understand that will cost money but to hit us with a total of $900 in expenses in the first 5-10 minutes of our appointment left a bad taste in our mouth. I'm reading other reviews that sound like I am not the first person to feel as if they are just trying to get as much money as they can out of their patients. I canceled my next scheduled appointment and will be going elsewhere from now on.

Read this before boarding your dog here, if you care at all for their well being. I'm sorry, it's…read morelong. My first issue with this place is their pricing is not at all transparent on their website. Their website says $45 a night. This is grossly misleading. My dog is incredibly anxious and takes medication to help with that. They charged me to give her her meds that I provided for her. $95. Ninety five dollars to give a dog one and a half pills once a day. Not once did they mention this either on their website or when I was dropping her off. I shrugged that off. Irritated, but those meds keep my dog safe and I will pay ANY amount to keep her safe. And then I got home. Whereupon I noticed two large injuries on her front paws. One swelling abrasion, and one puncture wound. Naturally concerned, I called them to ask about it. The manager that I spoke to was very helpful and apologetic and said that he'd discuss with his staff and get back to me. He was polite and overall a joy to speak to and deserves a promotion. He said that he didn't notice any injuries on my dog during his time with her. After the call, I received a call back from the owner. He was condescending and short with me, blaming my dogs swollen paw on a grass allergy. Plausible, right? No. She is a mostly outdoor dog and we regularly go on walks in grassy areas. Beyond that- get this! He said during my dogs nail trim, he noticed the abrasion and thought nothing of it. His exact words were "it's like a kid at daycare, right? Sometimes they get hurt." Which absolutely makes sense, but the difference here is the kids parents would get a call, an incident report, anything to be like "hey this happened FYI." And if I had gotten a call I wouldn't be so angry. When I brought up the lack of communication (which, btw, I called 2-3 times to check on her during my trip and this was NEVER mentioned) he said "oh do you want me to make a note of that in her file to give you a call if something like this happens again?" (That should be default. Call the owner if something happens to their dog, what the crap?) And I said "no thank you, she won't be returning so that won't be necessary", and instead of working with me to find a solution, or at the VERY least offering to cover veterinary bills or refund the $95 that they didn't tell me I would be paying, he offered a very condescending goodbye and promptly hung up on me. Also please note that NO ONE NOTICED THE PUNCTURE WOUND on my dog over the course of her stay, when it was visible enough that we noticed within ten minutes. I respect that this is a family owned business and appreciate the work that went into building this, but the negligence and lack of communication and transparency is not acceptable. Not to mention the absolute lack of any solution offered besides "put Neosporin on it". TLDR: they did not disclose pricing, were very condescending, and my dog came back injured.

My wife and I boarded our two Maltese dogs here from May 31 to June 7, 2026…read more Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. We left 16 packets of Cesar wet dog food along with both written and verbal instructions that each dog was to receive one packet per day. We provided 2 packets for immediate feeding and 14 additional packets for the rest of the stay. When we picked up our dogs, we were given 11 packets back. That means only 5 packets were used during an 8-day stay, despite our clear feeding instructions. We were also given back 100% of the dog treats we had left for them. In addition, we provided enough heart medication for our female dog, who has a heart murmur, to cover the entire boarding period. The night before pickup, we received a call stating they had run out of her medication. However, when we picked up our dogs, we were given 4 pills back. This raises serious concerns about whether her medication was administered properly and consistently. My wife called to discuss these issues with management and spoke with Wynona. Rather than addressing our concerns, she felt talked over and dismissed. For nearly $600 in boarding fees, we expected our dogs' feeding and medication instructions to be followed carefully. Instead, the response we received felt indifferent and lacked accountability. It's especially disappointing because we've had positive experiences here in the past. The groomers do a great job, but we've also experienced delays in being notified when grooming appointments were complete, sometimes waiting hours before receiving a pickup call. Based on this experience, we will not be returning for boarding services, and we are considering other options for grooming as well. I will also be contacting corporate regarding these concerns.

I have been in contact with many vets, but have found the vets and staff at Gentle care to be compassionate, patient, informative and put forth full effort to provide exceptional care for all pets. The clinic is small, and very busy, and yet the staff always find a way to make sure myself and my pets are tended to and comfortable. They are more than willing to answer questions and are appreciative of involved pet owners. My pets have had their fair share of growing pains and problems, but Dr. Rausch, Dr. Ermeling, and Dr. Beck always provide options for care, so the owner is making an informed decision with patience regarding the pet owner's abilities and resources. I gave her the benefit of the doubt not once but twice, thinking she could just be in a bad mood, but after my third visit with her I knew it was an attitude issue. Not only that, but two out of the three times I visited her, she didn't seem to understand the information I was giving her. When I tried explaining my pet's diet change, she didn't know that the type of food my pet was on even existed, when they literally sell the food at their clinic. She's constantly invalidating my concerns when explaining the behavior change in my pet, as if she knows them personally. My animal has never liked the vet, but he HATES this veterinary assistant. I'm not sure how she's had her job for 7 years, but it's no wonder she's just an assistant. All the other vets are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Kim really sets a bad image for your staff and business.
