Jim communicated with me each step of the way, letting me know when the team would arrive, etc. Mark and Larry were the brothers that showed up (right on time). They took the time to introduce themselves explained what they were going to do. This small step goes a long way to feeling comfortable . They were very kind and professional went out of their way to be helpful to me. I highly recommend JDM and I will definitely be using them again when I replace my windows in the back of my house!!

When the job begins and you tell him this is what we agreed to he denies he ever said that and then tries to get more money from you. Truly shyster way to do business. Now for the best deck ever (Jim's words) - at best the deck is average or below average with the workmanship not what it should be for the price. Decking not even with uneven gaps on the side, terrible cuts that should have been redone due to their error but of course they don't fix as it adds cost for them. Then leaving all trash on site not only from your job but from other jobs doing for the entire project (So much for everything including container). A suggestion for anyone thinking of using this company (big mistake IMO) would be to make sure every little detail is included in your contract to state exactly what you talked about and don't take Jim at his word as he is not reliable.

They replaced a 29 year old concrete shingle roof in two days without incident. The workers were diligent and skilled. The cleanup was thorough. Towards the end of last year, I had several companies come out and quote for a full roof…read morereplacement. Golden Group gave me the best feeling about the job from the initial discussion. Where other contractors canceled appointments, arrived late, or were just no-shows - Mikel (out of their Hudson office) arrived on time and did a thorough assessment of the roof including taking drone footage. He sat with me and walked me through the whole process clearly, explaining all my choices in materials and didn't push any product or add-on. I did receive marginally cheaper quotes, but they did not leave me feeling like my home was in good hands in the same way that Mikel did, and I felt the extra money was likely to be worth it. Once I decided to go ahead with them, again, everything was done very professionally. I was kept informed of times and everybody showed up exactly when they said they would. I made a small change to the scope of the work in replacing additional plywood sections of the roof, and these were easily accommodated on short notice. On the day of the work, the crew showed up on time and Jurgan (the site foreman) kept everything moving with minimal disruption to us. I was working from home, and my wife and kids were in and out of the house for school and errands. Despite replacing the entire roof of the main building and two additions over approximately 9 hours, there was minimal disruption to our days. The house was protected during the work, and even with snow still on the ground, their cleanup crew constantly walked the property picking up and disposing of any debris, nails, old material etc. Ultimately the roof was replaced successfully and looks good. Every step of the job was explained to me, every question answered, and every decision explained. The team was professional, punctual and courteous throughout. A couple of weeks in and we've had snow, rain and strong winds. Everything is still perfect. I can highly recommend Mikel and Jurgan from Golden Group, Hudson.

Unfortunately, moss removal was work they did not perform. Despite that, Sebastian went onto my roof to assess the situation. He informed me that my roof was still in good shape and did not see the need to replace it. He did refer me to another company. His integrity, along with his timely response, was much appreciated.
