As the spot of my parents' wedding reception, this hotel/restaurant has seen our regular custom for over two decades and not without good reason. The food is unbelievably good, the hotel itself is well presented and the service is always quick, efficient and made all the more enjoyable by knowing most of the veteran staff by name. It was also used as the spot for Gavin and Stacy's wedding reception in the TV series, which prompted many "We've been there" exclamations from around the room.

The Belgium Chocolate Truffle can silence a room in collective ecstasy, while the profiteroles will leave you unbuckling your belt as a sign of a job well done.
