Great local beer selection, and if you mention something you like to the employees they will write it down and try to get ahold of it in a shipment! The employees were very knowledgeable and helpful. I pop in here every now and then - they have a pretty standard selection, but you're not going to find anything unique here. I usually only come in for the occasional bottle of vodka or rum. They've always had that behind the counter (which strikes me as odd - even the lower priced items are). I've never seen Skyy or Bacardi behind the counter at any other store? I've never had a problem with any of the employees. All of them have been friendly. I definitely prefer the Class Six to this store, but sometimes it's more convenient. Pluses: -Close to the base, if you are in that area often. -Large selection of imported beers -Decent selection of liquor Minuses: -Wine selection is paltry. -They refrigerate a lot of the beers but don't offer them off the shelf. That's just strange. -They don't have prices on anything unless it's on sale. -It feels a bit shady in that shopping center. A majority of the businesses are out of business and there were a lot of lurkers. If you are looking for something odd, give them a call and see if they have it. I think what struck me the most was that there weren't prices on anything here. You might want to try a different brew or a particular wine, but you don't know how much you're looking at until you get up to the counter. Then they look it up in a book. I was getting brands that I already knew about how much they should cost but that would unnerve me if I didn't know and then they told me it is $100 or something. Their wine selection wasn't the greatest but they did have a large selection of beer to choose from, both imported and domestic, so you have your pick of some of the more popular ones and ones that are more of an adventure. I spent nearly a half an hour in this place because I had to constantly get price checks on items I was interested in since about 90% of their non-liquor items had no prices either on the shelf or on the products themselves. Then when it came time to pay, I found it was cash only! Needless to say, I did not have much cash and ended up wasting a half an hour. Also, I didn't things were "reasonably" priced at all! The only reasonable prices were on the liquor, and that's probably due to state controls. There were items here that were literally 50% more than elsewhere in the area. I gave 2 stars only because their beer selection was quite good. read more
