I have been a part of people ready for years. I have and many others I know were very successful in…read moremaintaining a steady work ethic with People Ready. The Company provides the means, the rest is up to you. I recommend People Ready to anyone who is struggling or trying to make ends meet. In every place of employment, I agree there are going to be a few knuckleheads here and there but for the most part there are many others serious about needing employment. many ex felons have used temp services to reestablish themselves and rebuild their families with the work they receive from these sort of agencies. You just simply have to want to better yourself, If you don't want it, its not gonna drop in your lap, you have to go get it and make it work and I guarantee, it will, I am a witness. #IDIDIT2.

I went to a job at a city park to set up for a homecoming. After a short while, FOUR police…read moreofficers came up and handcuffed one of my co-workers. As they led him off, one of them said to my co-worker: "You know you're not supposed to be anywhere where children are present!" Another co-worker stole jewelry from a woman whose house we were cleaning up. (Does this pique your interest enough to read the rest of this lengthy review?) (FYI: Labor Ready "employee" means those employed by "corporate". "Laborer" refers to those that show up at Labor Ready looking for work.) As a former laborer at Labor Ready, I say: avoid the Belleville branch at all costs! Actually, avoiding Labor Ready altogether as a laborer seems to me to be a good idea as I have experience at several branches. They all seem to operate the same! I no longer work there as I recently found a full-time job. That said, there is a tremendous amount of favoritism at the Belleville branch. People less-skilled and/or less-suited for a given job will be sent out because they're "buddies" with the Labor Ready employee (behind the counter) or, perhaps, their dating another employee's daughter (seriously!). Despite being totally unsuited for the job (and having many others present that are qualified), someone in the "clique" will get sent out despite being totally unsuited for the job! (Yes, this happens constantly) The backgrounds of many of the the laborers are questionable, but everyone deserves a second chance. Still, addressing Labor Ready in general: Favoritism, people doing drugs in their cars in the parking lot in the morning (while waiting to get sent out to jobs), stopping to get liquor ON THE WAY TO A JOB...the list goes on! Having the police come into Labor Ready and arrest someone on an outstanding warrant happened more times than I can remember. If you're desperate, you'll get paid the same day if that's what you need (if you manage to get past the favoritism and actually get "sent out" to a job). You just need to decide how badly you need work given what I've said.

Hired Ms Grace out of Fairview Heights, IL to do a move out cleaning of a house I rented…read more Their site says they take credit cards but the woman that the Ms Grace company sent, Angie, that "cleaned" the house would only take cash. There were extra charges for cleaning fixtures like ceiling fans, Baseboards, inside the oven, inside the refrigerator, etc. All of these charges I agreed to because I was moving out and was required to have the house professionally cleaned. So, how hard could cleaning an empty house be, right? WRONG!!!! When I returned to the house after Angie "cleaned" it, i found that the refrigerator was still the same as before, the oven was the same, and ceiling fans had residue on them, the bathroom faucets were spotty and not shiny, and she left trash behind (I thought she was supposed to clean!) ... so not cleaned as I expected considering all the up-charges! I think my teenager would have done better. The only thing that was done well was the carpet cleaning, which was also required to be paid by cash directly to Angie, and she said she would then pay "her guy" the carpet cleaning service. The carpets looked great. Further, Angie was not the most friendly or professional person in the world. She talked over me and interrupted constantly, and constantly reminded me of how much she was doing for me. I thought I was the customer?!!!! I went ahead with the service because I was under the gun to get out of the house before the end of the lease. Buyer beware on this company, and especially if they send Angie to do the work.

She did not dillydally and it ended up being a two hour job. I was really surprised on how much dirt a high-rise balcony can collect from not cleaning. Rosemarie really must love her job because I found her singing while she was cleaning the windows and wasn't afraid to put a little elbow grease into this tough job I will use the service again and highly recommend
