Augustin-Wheeler, MD claimed I had to do a telehealth appointment (charged full price for a 5 minute call) to do so. Multiple times over years. 2.) Yes, my current doctor met the requirements for my blood work etc. But they also have the ability to REMIND ME and TELL ME when I need that bloodwork. For years: San Gabriel Family Medicine: Rosie A. Augustin-Wheeler, MD would NOT tell me. I would have my refill denied and it would take multiple days to hear back from San Gabriel Family Medicine: Rosie A. Augustin-Wheeler, MD WHY I couldn't get my Rx filled. I often had to wait for a call-back because they couldn't tell me--??!! *Terrible service. And completely unnecessary requirements and no communication--and in contrast my new doctor's office has met all my service needs. I got in within two weeks of my phone call. The office is clean and there are lots of seats. Our appointment was with Dr. ALBA. She is a family medical doctor so the type of care she provides is vast. She was superior. She deserves 10 stars. She was knowledgeable, she was kind, she was sufficient, she answered all the questions patiently. She listened to my 85-year, old mother patiently. I'm very happy I chose this doctor. The reason for the four stars instead of the five is because of the front desk and the check-in procedure. It's extensive to the point of being a bit unreasonable. One hour before the appointment time, They emailed me a very large amount of computer work to be done. I had to do it while my husband was driving. When we got there, they gave us the same information again in paper and we had to fill it out in paper. This is not a first time patient procedure. This is an every time procedure. There was people in there, complaining about these procedures verbally at the front desk while I was there. Since I find this medical doctor to be exceptional, I will fill out any papers that I need to every time I bring my mother to this doctor. If you're looking for a great medical doctor, Dr Alba is a good choice, but be ready for the front desk, it's quite a challenge.

Opening just a few weeks ago in the Leander area, this practice is well staffed, high tech, able to provide necessary testing / labs on-site. With the office closing at 5pm, I was worried my needs were going to have to wait until Monday morning due to problems on my end. Dr. Pham and his entire team stayed late with me on a Friday evening to make sure all my needs, concerns, and health questions were fully cared for. If you are looking for a provider & medical team who truly cares about your / your family's wellbeing, look no further. So thankful to have come across such an incredible provider so close to home.
