We could not recommend Mantas more highly!!! My fiancé and I knew we wanted to work with Mantas as soon as we saw his portfolio. We were looking for someone who could candidly capture our style and personality as a couple, in the city where we first met (Washington, DC). He did not disappoint in the least! We had the pleasure of spending our first hour in Dupont Circle, and our second at the Capitol Building. He was comfortable in both settings. There are not enough good things to say about Mantas and his photography skills! We are from Miami, FL and were looking for a photographer to capture our engagement with the beautiful cherry blossoms in DC. We found Mantas Photography on Yelp and looked through the website--we were immediately hooked! Everything we saw was brilliant! We emailed him to request pricing and couldn't believe how affordable he was. Over email we could already tell that he was down to earth and overall a good person. Our intuition proved us right. Once we arrived in DC, Mantas graciously offered to pick us up (and drop us off!) at our hotel to take us to the Tidal Basin (where the cherry blossoms were in peak bloom) for our photo shoot. Mantas brought along his long-time friend Rimas who "used" us a practice run for his new videography business--the result was truly remarkable. Mantas had extensively prepared for our photo shoot--which was so impressive! He spent sometime around the Cherry Blossoms the day before and pre-planned areas where he thought would be great shooting opportunities. He was absolutely excited to come across new photo opps and immediately let his creativity take over--the end result of this was outstanding! We felt at ease while taking the photos and he always encouraged us to "make our magic!" We didn't feel weird despite the massive amounts of people, and Mantas and Rimas were always there to guide us. Quality - Amazing quality, especially for the price as I previously stated. He takes unique shots and tries to make every photo stand out! My fiancé and I worked with Mantas for our engagement session in Old Town Alexandria. We took pictures along cobblestone paths and brick alleyways then ended up by the waterfront. Look, I haven't used Mantas as a photographer, but I will tell you this: Even after finding out he wasn't available on my wedding day, he spent TWENTY minutes on the phone with me, helping me to figure out to how handle a challenging issue I was facing with my current wedding photographer. He not only gave me his opinion on how to deal with the situation, he also put me in touch with several other photographers he knew were available on my wedding, AND walked me through the different photography styles so that I could better understand what I liked and had the vocabulary to do so. His photos are beautiful, but most importantly, he is a kind human being with a KEEN interest in making sure his clients are happy. I am realizing the hard way that it's more than just your photographer's photos - their attitude and ability/willingness to work with you (including if you differ in your opinion of what constitutes a "great photo") is absolutely essential, especially for engagement/wedding photos! Mantas is an absolutely fantastic engagement and wedding photographer! My husband and I were searching the internet for a photographer in the D.C. area and when we came across his photos, we realized we couldn't pass up hiring him. He is really nice to work with. We first scheduled a Thursday afternoon for the photo shoot, but the weather wasn't great and I called 3 hours before and told him my concern. Mantas did an amazing job as our engagement photographer! We are new to the DC area and didn't really know where we wanted to have our photos done. As soon as we contacted Mantas, he was with us every step of the way and made great suggestions as to where we should do our photos. First, I have to say: we LOVE Mantas. He was seriously one of the most fun parts of planning our wedding and I honestly can't imagine our wedding day without him (I know that sounds a little extreme, but really the vendors you hire are a huge part of your day!). I started emailing with Mantas over a year ago when a friend of mine recommended him to me after her wedding, and I immediately appreciated how friendly, responsive, and knowledgeable he was. Being an out of town bride, we actually ended up signing with Mantas before we even met him because I appreciated our interactions that much (and I knew from my friend and his Instagram that he did amazing work). A couple of great things that we also really liked about Mantas was that he offered a free engagement photo session (which, sense we're from out of town, ended up using for our rehearsal), that he gave us a discount on a photo booth (one of our guest's favorite part of our wedding), and that he let us set up a monthly payment plan (why pay it all up front if you don't have to?). On the day of the wedding, Mantas was on time, so incredibly laid back, calm, funny, and frankly just a joy to have there. His assistant immediately came in and got right to business starting to take the staged photos with my dress and accessories, and our rings. Mantas just talked to me as we began to get comfortable with each other and probably at least a half a dozen times that day, I told him that I was so thankful that he was there because I was having fun with him just being around and all of my bridesmaids agreed (when I saw my now husband, he said the same thing about Mantas). At the end of the night, the whole wedding party was sad to see Mantas go and he's one of the things that we'll miss most about the wedding planning process. All around, we had an A++ experience, wonderful time, and great memories.
