Pleasantly impressed with the accommodations of this independent hotel. Loyal to Marriott but there are none in this area. My options were BW and Choice but they are priced too high here for what they offer in my opinion. Rooms here were about $50 cheaper per night than local Choice Hotel and BW. Our room was clean, comfortable king bed w soft linens. AC worked fine, not too loud, room had microwave and dorm size refrigerator. Room was on par and exceeded some Marriott properties I have stayed at. No pool or fitness room but only a one night stay. Sufficient and easy complimentary breakfast. Management very personable. This will be our first choice when visiting this area. read more

My room was spotless, large and very comfortable. I like to frequent independently run hotels if possible...the owner was very gracious about my pain-in-the-neck request of extra pillows. I need them to put under my knees to alleviate back. I have actually had motels refuse this request. This gentleman didn't bat an eye at my request and sent housekeeping to the laundry at 9:30 at night. I was very grateful! I got as good a breakfast as you get in the Hampton family of hotels - I had to do several of those on my recent trip. Good coffee, your self-made waffle. If you're in Silver City, you can't beat the price of this little gem! read more

The price was good for the night, the room was clean, staff were stretched thin. Arrived to check in, waited about five minutes at the front desk before I was able to check in. The room was just cleaned so the smell of cleaner was quite strong. Immediately noticed there were no smoke detectors in the room. The lighting was a very cool blue which made it tough to relax with a bedside lamp on. I want to say it was good for the night, but I had a hard time sleeping knowing there was no smoke detector or fire suppression in the room. read more

Wow!!! All we can say is the new remodel of this place is amazing for a motel!! We stayed just for one night coming into town from Arizona for a baby shower. The rates were very good compared to all the other place and the location was close to everything we needed. The gentleman that checked us in I believe was the owner. He was very pleasant and welcoming, we had no issues checking in and checking out. If you watched from my video I uploaded and my photos the room was definitely remodeled. It smelled like brand new ikea furniture, the bathroom had granite countertops!! A full microwave and fridge!!!!The shower was also beautifully tiled! Did I mention the bed was sooooo comfy!!! Everything was squeaky clean and brand new. If you ever need a place I would highly recommend you stay there because we've stayed at other places and for a small town lots of stays seriously need a remodel! Bonus: if you have Pete they will also allow your furry friend to stay for a few! Check it out and let me know how it goes for u! Copper Manor doesn't look like much from the outside, but opening the door, we found a gigantic king bedroom where mirrors, bathroom tiles, and even the bureau sparkled. The cleaning staff has incredible pride in their work, and it shows. The room not only looked wonderful, it smelled wonderful, and the linens were every bit as spotless and clean-smelling as the rest of the room. The fridge was big enough to have a separate freezer compartment, and it, the microwave, and tv all worked wonderfully. The bed was just the right mix of soft & firm, the shower had great pressure, and the soap had a truly lovely scent. Our room even included an extra sitting area with a super-comfy overstuffed chair, and a desk had we anything to work on. All of this at about half the cost of a standard room at the chains in town! The only room for improvement is the continental breakfast, which consists of cereal options or pre-packaged danishes. The selection wasn't lacking, mind you, but making arrangements with a local bakery for fresh morning pastries would be above & beyond. read more

Having stayed at a Motel 6 in Arizona for the past 3 nights I'm glad I found Copper Manor in Silver City. This place is way nicer. The two things I like best: comfy recliner (when do you ever get that at an inexpensive hotel?) and SOFT towels. The towels are especially appreciated since the ones at Motel 6 were like sandpaper...thin, puny sheets of sandpaper. Besides that, it's a very big room with crispy clean sheets, and the fridge has an actual separate, sizeable freezer (important for me since I'm here for research and have to freeze my samples). Air conditioner and wi-fi work fine and unlike Motel 6 you only have to re-enter the wi-fi password the first time you log on. The interior does have a 1970s look but that doesn't make the room less comfortable, just less modern. I'm giving it 4 stars because I gotta keep it real -- it's not a 5 star hotel. read more

This room and motel were very good! Often these places can be kind of hit or miss. With a staff of only two, I wasn't sure how they maintain, but they let us look at a couple of rooms with different bed sizes, and we settled on a nice king bed option. Almost flawless. Big TV, fridge and freezer, a hot shower, bed was comfy and the sheets even seemed in good shape. No complaints, everything worked just fine. We had a non-smoking room and I smelled nothing. They do have smoking rooms. And they are adamant no pets are allowed. At $59 for the whole night it was a bit steep- I've always wondered why hotels won't pro-rate down a bit, especially when you arrive at 11 or 12 at night- but anyhow. I'd stay here again. There is a Denny's next door for your food and coffee and tea needs. This hotel also offers some cereal and coffee and perhaps other things in the morning. read more

I'm a sucker for old Americana hotels with neon street signs. And I'm very glad that a super nice family decided to keep this place alive. It's very clean and well priced. Doors are in good condition with new locks. All the furniture was in good condition as well. The owners are a GREAT source of information for Silver City and the surrounding area. Your average discount motel. Everything is serviceable, but nothing is great. The decor is cookie cutter and somewhat dated. The mattresses are soft and you will feel every movement of your partner, but, the room is clean enough. There is air conditioning, hot water, cable TV, and a microwave and fridge in the room. You can see someone has kicked in the door, the wood and drywall is damaged, but there's a new plate to fix it and an additional lock. The walk to downtown is pleasant, about a mile. There aren't sidewalks the whole way, but there are wide shoulders. The restaurant next door closed down, but there's a CVS on the other side of it, and there's fast food and a couple cafés within 1/4 mile. If you're looking to save some money and understand that you get what you pay for, this is your place. read more

I stayed there while on a motorcycle trip. It was perfect for me. The room was absolutely clean and decorated nicely. The place was quiet, which I appreciated since I did my riding in the morning and spent much of the afternoon and night there. The owner was gracious in letting me check in early, and I appreciated his friendly personality. I would have given it five stars except that the continental breakfast was minimal and there was no place to hang clothes in the room. I would, however, go back without a second thought. The owner is remodeling the motel over time, and is doing it right! And, oh, the wifi worked flawlessly! That was not the case at a different place a different night. read more

I spent 4 nights and 5 days at the Copper Manor recently with a friend from California and we both loved it! The owners are wonderful people, very friendly and attentive, and if there had been anything at all that we needed, they would have provided it. The bed was soft and comfortable and I honestly slept better on that bed than I do on my own bed. The tv was a really big flatscreen mounted on the wall that we could each see perfectly from our own beds; the sound was great and the channel selection was excellent. One of the features we liked best were the USB ports between the beds, in the same place as the outlets, so we could charge our electronic devices easily. There was a laundry room and ice on site. Another thing we both really enjoyed was the heating lamp in the bathroom!! It dried our towels and bathing suits overnight and no chilly showers! Also the water temperature, pressure and shower head were great. The complimentary breakfast was cereal, oatmeal, assorted packaged danishes, milk, Sunny D, tea and plenty of hot, yummy coffee. There was even a large bowl of Halloween candy that the owners had placed in the lobby and encouraged us to help ourselves to. We loved that Denny's is right in the parking lot, is open 24 hours, has delicious food and arguably the kindest and most efficient wait staff in town. I highly recommend this motel. It's no frills, nothing fancy, but it had everything we needed and more. It was quiet at night; we couldn't hear traffic or anything. The heating and air both worked great. I would absolutely stay here again and look forward to more of my friends and family coming to visit so I can enjoy this motel more! read more

My husband and I stayed at this motel for 2 nights in mid June. For the price, it is a great deal! The owners have worked hard to update it and it shows. On our vacation we stayed at 5 different hotels and this was by far our favorite. The beds were clean and comfortable, the room was clean and smelled good, the bathrooms were very nice as well. Definitely a good pace to stay in silver city! We did have to give it 4 out of 5 stars tho because they don't offer a free breakfast in the morning. Yeah all of the interior decorating is olde af but what do you expect for $50 + tax. Heater and air conditioner worked, good hot water. Clean bathroom services. Soap and shampoo in the room. Bed and other linens (towels, etc.) were clean. All light fixtures in the room for functional. Honestly, for $50 you are rating on functionality. Good value for money in Silver City. Oddly enough, the same owners seem to offer an "extended stay" concept across the street at the The Drifter (wtf?) for $500/month. read more

The room was extremely clean and seemed newly remodeled. The proprietor, Bobby, was most helpful.

Front desk staff very nice and helpful answering question about local things to do. Got to room and we should have left but we were dog tired. not the cleanest room and desperately needed to be updated, painted and carpets cleaned. We're still not sure what the mysterious stain on the floor was near the bathroom. The dead bolt could not turn because of the door being forced open violently too many times (you could see all the holes in the door from repeated fixing the security chain). The heater was so loud it sounded like a jet engine. The bed was the saggiest thing I'd ever sleep in and the blanket...let's just say yuck and leave it at that. At promptly 7:30a.m. construction in the next room started and didn't stop until 10a.m. Nothing like a violet awakening too early after a wretched night of sleep to top off this stay. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra 10$ and go to one of the nicer chain hotels. read more

Two recent stays here in between camping and backpacking trips nearby. We love this place. It's super affordable, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Much of the motel has been upgraded over the past year, fresh paint, etc. The beds are comfortable, fridge in room is a decent size, and the entire building is non smoking. The soaps and towels are adequate, ventilation is good, and for a hiker, the sink is deep enough to easily fill water bottles. read more

Absolutely disgusting place to stay..... Will never stay here again. The office was never staffed, the room, bathroom, linens, windows and floor were filthy!!!! I don't care about the decor etc.... But cleanliness is a must. Lesson learned. Stay at Motel 6 instead!!! read more
