Wow!!! All we can say is the new remodel of this place is amazing for a motel!! We stayed just for one night coming into town from Arizona for a baby shower. The rates were very good compared to all the other place and the location was close to everything we needed. The gentleman that checked us in I believe was the owner. He was very pleasant and welcoming, we had no issues checking in and checking out. If you watched from my video I uploaded and my photos the room was definitely remodeled. It smelled like brand new ikea furniture, the bathroom had granite countertops!! A full microwave and fridge!!!!The shower was also beautifully tiled! Did I mention the bed was sooooo comfy!!! Everything was squeaky clean and brand new. If you ever need a place I would highly recommend you stay there because we've stayed at other places and for a small town lots of stays seriously need a remodel! Bonus: if you have Pete they will also allow your furry friend to stay for a few! Check it out and let me know how it goes for u! We will be back for sure to stay next time we come into town again!!!

    comfy recliner!

Having stayed at a Motel 6 in Arizona for the past 3 nights I'm glad I found Copper Manor in Silver City. This place is way nicer. The two things I like best: comfy recliner (when do you ever get that at an inexpensive hotel?) and SOFT towels. The towels are especially appreciated since the ones at Motel 6 were like sandpaper...thin, puny sheets of sandpaper. Besides that, it's a very big room with crispy clean sheets, and the fridge has an actual separate, sizeable freezer (important for me since I'm here for research and have to freeze my samples). Air conditioner and wi-fi work fine and unlike Motel 6 you only have to re-enter the wi-fi password the first time you log on. The interior does have a 1970s look but that doesn't make the room less comfortable, just less modern. I'm giving it 4 stars because I gotta keep it real -- it's not a 5 star hotel.

The room was extremely clean and seemed newly remodeled. The proprietor, Bobby, was most helpful.

Both the green and red chile were perfect-not too hot but enough to make your lips pleasantly burn. I even bought Hatch fresh roasted, peeled and diced green Chile in bulk (frozen) in their stocked store, as well as a jar of Hatch red chili sauce for when I make my own cheese enchiladas at home. I should've gotten their homemade salsa to go as well, which is as good as any I've tasted in NM. We had heard from a local about this place and made the mistake of not driving all the way into Hurley (only a mile off highway) and mistook a gas station diner that is not even worth mentioning here (neither of us finished or even ate half of our breakfast). We realized we had the wrong place as we were about to head back to Silver City (about 10 mi or 25 min away from the heart of downtown). We decided we were still hungry enough to at least split something and are we glad we did!! Friendly people who work there, spacious yet down home feeling inside and outside seating (we opted for the patio as it was named after) that had a wood fire going and heat lamps so it was truly cozy! Our beef and bean smothered burrito "Christmas" style (both red and green chile) was outstanding. I'll be back to try their chile relleno and carne adovada. Our waitress also mentioned people come from all over for their steak nights every Friday, and their burger menu was impressive. Yum yum!

Air conditioning barely worked -- it stayed tepid the whole stay despite adjusting the settings. The breakfast area was dirty and didn't feel well-maintained, and the toilet wouldn't flush properly. It's true that the accommodations are older (the sinks are in the room with you, be prepared), but the entire place has a charm that I found really cozy and sweet. Our bed was comfortable although I can't speak for other rooms. There is a bookstore immediately next door owned by a lovely gentleman from Scotland who is very knowledgeable about the building and the city. The breakfast had enough selection for us picky eaters and passed our coffee snob test, and you can't beat the location. While our paths never crossed with the staff for long enough to have a substantial conversation, everyone we met while in Silver was truly wonderful. The parking is street parking but we never had any trouble finding a spot immediately in front of the hotel or at worst beside it on a side street. I did wake up once on our second night to some noise on the street, but that was my only issue the entire time.

Overall the motel feels safe though. To sum it up... clean enough, safe enough, good value for the money. I did find a few bugs in the room (spider, roach, etc) but silver city has lots of bugs. Sounded like an older property that had been remodeled and updated, but beyond the pictures you see online it was clear that it wasn't. We had constant trouble with Wi-Fi, was slow when it worked, and it kept dropping out. Mg ac unit was loud and annoying, could barely hear the tv. I had hot water in the morning, but my daughter did not the night before. Shower seemed especially gross. Pictures attached. No one was at the front desk when we checked out, so I was unable to address with him, but they did not respond to any of my communication communications about the property. $170 for one night and there were far better options for the money.
