We hired Ann for our engagement photos and wedding day. When I went looking for a photographer, I found several in our price range and looked through all of their portfolios online. Ann's was head and shoulders above the rest with a very editorial feel. I setup a meeting with her, my mother and fiance. The instant we met her, I knew she was the right choice for us. We left and immediately all agreed to hire her. My fiance was so impressed. Ann is not only professional, but an absolute joy to work with. We aren't that comfortable taking photos, but she put us at ease, had fun with us, and encouraged our own creativity. Our engagement photos were radiant and people commented that they could actually see the love we have for each other in the photos. Our wedding photos are out of this world. Granted, we lucked into an incredible evening sky, but without Ann's exceptional eye and vision, it wouldn't have meant anything (note my profile photo is a cropped version of one of my wedding day portraits). All I can say was that Candid Fx was fun to work with and have be a part of our big day. They delivered more than was promised and we look forward to more sessions with them in the future!

That one sentence really wraps the entire review up, but I'll elaborate a little more for enquiring minds :-) We received notice a few days before the wedding that Ann had come down with the nasty bug that was going around and had been super sick. She immediately suggested another photographer in her place in case she wasn't able to pull through. As it turned out, she showed up ALONG with the replacement photographer as a backup and created BEAUTIFUL pictures. I joked with Ann that I was going to tell people, "If your photographer doesn't get on the ground to take a few shots, he/she isn't doing ANYTHING!" She was a real trooper with a great eye and we enjoyed the opportunity to work with her.

The girl who helped us, Valerie, did not tell my kids how to set up nor did she use any props UNTIL I grabbed them myself and asked for it. She was doing absolutely nothing.
