We remained the only occupied table in the place throughout our dinner. Yes you can see the ferry from the caged windows but even that doesn't make up for the dreary atmosphere. I was supposed to use the payphone outside to call for a ride home, but the machine was broken. I decided to ask to use the restaurant's phone. When I walked in, there were literally two people eating dinner in the whole restaurant. I walked up to the counter and stood waiting for the man behind it (who was doing nothing at all) to ask me what I wanted. When he ignored me, I asked very politely if I could use the phone, as the machine outside was broken. He looked me in the eyes and said, completely seriously: "No, we're too busy." Because of this man's rudeness, I was forced to take a dangerous half hour walk in the dark to get home. I was wearing dark clothing, there were no streetlights, and I had a single small light on the back of my backpack. It was also raining. No part of this account was exaggerated in any way. When my father went to the restaurant to complain, the man was completely unrepentant, repeating that they were extremely busy. At this time, there was not a single person eating in the restaurant. Do not go to this restaurant, ever. I am normally a polite, reasonable person, but I honestly hope the place goes out of business. There are far better places to eat in and around Saanichton, and I strongly recommend you go there for dinner instead of here.

They've even sent me cracked eggs, so obviously they were never checked or broken during delivery. One way or another much better care should be taken. I keep saying I'm going to change grocery stores. I've spent THOUSANDS of dollars at this store and I it's as though they DON'T CARE.
