We love Little Thai Place on Shelbourne Street. We have been going there for many years and have always enjoyed our meals from there. This is the place to go for Thai take-out . . . Dropped in the other night after working out and ordered Pad King - choice of beef, chicken or pork - stir fried with ginger, green peppers, onions, mushrooms, oyster sauce, and - alert - lots of garlic ($9.95). Delicious! Nice layers of flavour, and garlicky, for a treat. The only negative was the chicken looked and tasted like it was the type previously cooked, pre seasoned, weird texture. OK, but not fresh tasting. Rice is a separate charge. You'd think it would be a given side with the dish. Any main dish. I cooked my own at home. I'm really impressed with this locations service & quality of food. The time was 8:48pm when they close at 9pm. I called to place a pick up order and the lady who picked up was assertive yet courteous. She took our order knowing our order would be 15 minutes and upon arrival to pick up the order at 8:59pm she was still checking with the kitchen if she can place orders for patrons who just walked in. They definitely put the effort in to get you fed and the quality remains the same across all locations (from my experience). Both my friend & I were impressed with this experience. I went here after a work out at the gym at about 8:50. Although they close at 9:00pm, they happily let us in anyways. I had the Gangdang without rice (you have to buy the rice separately and I was low carbing). The curry was pretty delicious, but I was kind of disappointed since I chowed it down in a minute and was wishing for more. You definitely need to eat it with rice or the serving size is way too small. The service was excellent. The staff were very happy to serve us despite being already closed. read more

We picked up dinner from here on a nostalgic trip to Vic - more for my husband's sake than my own. Delivery was slated to take quite a while so we picked up, since we were staying close by. I don't know if we just got food on a bad night or what happened, because it seems like everyone else thinks this place is the bomb but boy was it terrible! A taste of the peanut sauce alone turned me off - loaded with salt to the point where we had to throw it away. The yellow curry was watery, the beef salad was salty, the pad thai was mushy - good grief! What a write off! I went to bed hungry that night because I couldn't stomach one more bite of the stuff. Had a great experience ordering delivery from the Little Thai Place! I called about 20 minutes before they close and they happily accommodated my order. I was glad this happened as we were pretty stuck trying to find a good place to order from. The food came so fast as well and as expected. I had pad thai and my husband got seafood noodles, both were prepared nicely. Their service is definitely great, did not make you feel rushed on the phone and was happy and welcoming to accommodate. Like some reviewers stated, the food was decent but quite bland. I went there at around 8pm for take-out one night, and it wasn't too busy. I ordered some sort of Thai noodles. The portion sizes were huge, even for a big eater like me. It tasted fine, but not enough spice, and because of the huge portion size, it got boring after a while. Maybe it was because I ordered take-out, but I literally ate the food within 10 minutes of picking it up. I do concede that perhaps dining inside would have been a better experience. I'll go again but eat inside. I'll update the review when that occurs. Edit: Changed from a 3 to a 4 star. Why? Going back a few more times, it's one of the only places to actually have spicy food when you want spicy. I tested many other dishes, and they taste like they use pretty fresh ingredients. I had the Pad Thai, and the base sauce was Ketchup!!! That's a felony against Thai food. Beef was old and chewy, like frozen leftovers that got heated twice over. Curry was super salty, probably to mask the horror of the taste. Worst Thai Food ever, doesn't even qualify as fast food Thai. Its like can food. Don't go here. read more

This is my go-to place for ordering Thai food for delivery. Flavorful red, yellow and green curries. The spice level can be quite hot so make sure you check to see what's right for you. The Tom ka gai soup is also delicious. They also tend to give long time estimates for delivery (i.e. An hour) but deliver before then, which is a nice surprise. First time trying this place. Ordered takeout about an hour ago. Think it was the chicken panang. Was dissapointed because i thought id get more than what i paid for. For almost 14$ i got a small container of curry that seemed watered down. It was tasty watery curry but everything else just looked boring with bits of pepper and chicken. Looks like fast food thai. For the price i paid its dissapointing it didnt come with rice. If it tasted bad id give it 1 star. But it didnt so ill let it slide with 2 stars. Will stick with noodle box. read more

On a recent trip to Victoria, we had the pleasure of stopping here for lunch. My husband and I love Thai food and have a couple favorite restaurants we frequent here in Redmond. Feeling perhaps a little bit of homesickness, we began craving our favorite Thai dishes. We were not disappointed. Although the food here was not quite to the level we get here at home, it was close enough to satisfy. I tried the Red Curry and convinced our Aunt to try it as well. She agreed that it was an excellent choice, although many of the other menu selections looked equally as wonderful. The wait staff was friendly and attentive - they seated us quickly, took our orders and had our food out in record time, then they came back to check on us to make sure we didn't need anything else and to fill our water glasses. The food is just OK, but the service is definitely unsatisfactory. I ordered a Phad Thai Goong during the lunch time and the waitress didn't check with the customers at all. When I checked, she didn't ask either I need the receipt or used any courtesy words. She barely just threw the changes on the table and didn't even look at customer. I said thank you but got no any response from her at all. The funny thing was that they do have lunch specials but I was still charged with full price. I didn't notice it until left the restaurant. I even tipped her for her rude and very unprofessional service!! Will never go there again and I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone except you want to proof it in person. read more

I haven't eaten here for a while and it seems they've gone down hill. Very bland Phad Thai (Prawn) which was also very dry. Chicken curry was tasty but thin and again needed some spice. Spring rolls were tasty but too greasy. When there's a very tasty alternative over the hill at Thai Lemongrass, I won't be returning. read more
