Instead of showing even a basic level of compassion or flexibility, the school denied my tuition reimbursement request. It's honestly shocking how rigid and unsupportive the process was. You'd think an institution that claims to support students would be able to recognize extraordinary circumstances like this. Instead, I was met with cold policy enforcement and no willingness to help. I understand that rules exist, but there should be room for humanity in situations like this. This experience has left a really negative impression. If you're a parent or dealing with any kind of family or medical situation, I would strongly reconsider coming here--because when something serious happens, don't expect understanding or support.

I highly recommend this school. I attended once in the 1990s and decided to return to Anoka Tech in the mid 2020s for a career change. Another reason to come to the West Bank. It's on the block for the Wednesday weekly West End days with all the vendors.

Attending this school was the most traumatizing experience of my life, and I am still affected by…read moreit to this day. I graduated in 2019, and throughout my time there, both students and teachers displayed extreme racism that the administration continuously ignored or excused. Students on the worship team would call us "monkeys" and tell us to "go back to Africa." When we reported it, the principal's response was, "I don't think they meant it like that." This dismissal became a pattern,every racist act was brushed aside instead of being taken seriously. During my senior year, a teacher, Todd Manske, physically and verbally attacked my friends and me in the school parking lot. We were listening to clean music in our car when he ran up, slammed on the door, and screamed: "Do you think little kids want to hear N-word, N-word, this early in the morning?!" He actually said the full racial slur multiple times, with rage in his face as he hit the car. I was terrified he was going to hurt us. The school did absolutely nothing. This teacher is still employed there today.Another student, Austin Strandlund, repeatedly threatened my sister's life, saying he would lynch her and shoot her if she ever came to his house. Once again,the school did nothing. This same student and another mocked George Floyd's death as if it were a joke. When students of color stood up and told them it was wrong, another student, Mark Ustimchuk, told us to "LEAVE AMERICA." The school ignored it until we exposed the incident on social media and it went viral. Even then, the students only received a light slap on the wrist. Austin also brought a Confederate flag to prom in 2019. When we reported it, the secondary principal excused it by saying, "Well, his parents said it was okay." Yet, in the same breath, the school forced me and another Black student to remove our "Black Excellence" shirts. Austin would also "joke" daily about shooting up the school and said that my sister and I would be the first targets. Despite reporting this, nothing was ever done to protect us.This school is not a Christian school,it is a breeding ground for racism, hate, and trauma. The administration enabled both students and teachers to degrade and threaten students of color without consequence. To this day, I am deeply scarred by how I was treated there, and I am speaking out so no other family has to go through what mine did. Do not bring your kids to this school.

It was designed to bring the theater experience to young students in the north suburban area of the Twin Cities who had a desire to learn about theater (or who perhaps just wanted to be in a play). Broadway on Site continues to offer theater programs through local Anoka Hennepin School District's Community Education programs. Starting in 2010, Broadway on Site added an "advanced, audition-only group" experience for students who have satisfactorily completed four previous Broadway on Site productions. In 2012 the informal organization producing the advanced shows was organized into what is now known as Northern Starz Theatre.

I popped here this past weekend for working out. I used one of my guest passes with a friend. The…read moreprocess was very smooth and easy. Bonita at the front desk who helped was so helpful and friendly. I know some Y locations have some lockers that have code locks on them and you don't need a personal lock. This location did not. I didn't realize that till I was in the locker room. I did go back up to the front desk and Bonita was able to borrow me a lock with me just giving my car keys in exchange. There is huge amount of various machines here for anyone and everyone to get a workout in. They have numerous squat racks as well. It was definitely busy on a Saturday morning but I was able to get a workout in without having to wait for a machine. Definitely an awesome Y location!

Nothing, not even the courtesy to tell me I was denied and for what reason. We would have given her the best home! With so much love. I talked to a few tech friends one who worked there and was told horror stories about this establishment. They discriminate on applications before even speaking to potential adopters. They do not communicate (obviously) and are certainly not a no kill shelter. Sadly for the animals this place is detrimental to saving animals, quite the contrary.

Impossible to find, right? Well, thanks to Rescue Pets are Wonderful (RPAW), we were able to find him EXACTLY that. The RPAW volunteer we worked with was nothing short of amazing, patient, and super helpful. With her help, we were able to find a healthy, happy, neutered kitten (all cats are fixed prior to adoption) that fulfilled ALL of my boyfriend's insane wants. We honestly couldn't be happier. We are exceedingly grateful to RPAW for connecting us with our new wonderful family member. I highly, HIGHLY recommend this organization if you are looking for a new dog or cat companion (or if you want to volunteer!).
