No, this is Saint Anthony's village…read more Minneapolis is in many ways dissimilar to a lot of other cities in the country, and one of the ways it is so different, is that has a lot of little Villages within the city. Buffalo has a couple of these but nothing quite compares to the ones here, and one of them is Saint Anthony Village. It actually has a huge Mall as part of it although it's in the City of Roseville technically - I'm not really sure how they define these things. Saint Anthony is sort of within Roseville. It's a nice affluent part of town a few miles north of downtown, with absolutely horrendous traffic. I like it and on the other hand I don't like it because of the traffic. It is the most popular Mall in town other than the gargantuan Mall of America. A lot of people from all over the area come to these parts if they don't want to Brave the massive Mall of America.

That waterslide with the lights and music? Awesome! It's a one of a kind experience. Beyond the waterpark the playground was also great. It's not your average playground; it's big, well designed and has tons of opportunities for kids to explore and play. What really makes Shoreview Community Center stand out is the community. They offer so much more than just a pool and playground. From the fitness center to the skatepark they have created a space for all interests and ages. It's clear they have invested in making a valuable resource for everyone.

Bamboo Bay is much louder than the main pool area due to the fact it's more enclosed and there are sprayers with lots of water all over. The lifeguards do a great job of keeping their eyes on the kiddos cause it can get very very packed in both pool areas and kids of all different ages including adults too! The bathrooms and lockers are great and all facilities are pretty new and kept clean. I do love the spinner to spin clothes after swim time... As a side note, if you're like me and just hung out with other parents while the kiddos swam...it can get very very hot and humid so dress accordingly even in the winter time!

It's easy to find and park at, next to the Jim Lupient Water Park off of Johnson. I come here for free community yoga on Tuesdays, led by the generous instructor Tatum Fjerstad. She's real af and her practice is super-relatable and not all wishy-washy. We practice in the large & bright gym, or right outside. You can see the skyline from the fields! There are other community programs offered here for all ages, from dance classes for the kiddos, to walking groups, to zumba, to senior wellness classes. I've thought about renting the kitchen or craft room in the future for get-togethers. A potluck after hitting the waterpark would be make a swell summer day! The staff are friendly and helpful, but you may not find what you'd typically find at other Ramsey County library locations. Few rental movies, books and computers. Though they do have some computers outside of the library for use during and after hours in the community center. I do like the drive up book return outside business hours. If you do decide to checkout this library, do use caution when driving and parking. The library is to the right, so that is the best place to park. It is a busy place, always a lot of people walking, a lot of times with children.

The Oval has a nice walking track around the rink up above the bleachers, and there weren't a ton of people on the track when we were there on a Monday afternoon. Best thing is there are benches all along the track, so if you get tired, you can always sit down anytime. Only drawback is the noise- it is extremely loud when hockey practice is happening, so definitely bring earplugs! Tucked away at the back of this Arboretum is a public orchard. The orchard was locked up, but I will be looking to see if there are hours posted online as the orchard can only be accessed when staff is on site. We were happy to find that the bathrooms were open and they were very clean. Parking was sufficient, but tight.
