This is a very down home, local business and they're often willing to make trades as well! They sometimes have furniture that is barely used, showroom close-out stuff with little flaws (like a tear on the back of a perfect sofa). I'm a little picky and normally don't consider "soft" furnishings from secondhand stores but after so many great experiences there, I bought living room furniture from Kenny's and it's holding up really well. If you live in Joplin, definitely check out this place. They've moved a few times due to the 2011 tornado destroying their former location but are now at 1610 S Main.

We were standing there staring directly into her lower side. Not only was the experience incredibly unprofessional, it made me wonder what manners we're teaching teenagers today! So sad. They have a lot of women's business clothing in good condition from the 70s-90s which makes excellent "raw material" for those who may like to put their own twist on things. Lots of blouses, dresses, skirts and jackets that can be updated and made to fit into present day fashions. Also a LOT of men's nice shirts especially in sizes L/XL and XXL. Think "dad" shirts like denim and corduroy and flannel, but all clean and in good condition. Low prices. The guy running this place is very friendly and personable, and seems open to haggling and making special deals. We bought some clothing and he gave us several old magazines for free (we were gonna buy them anyway). He said that due to the Route 66 location they have shoppers come in from all over the world. Their shoes and bags were not in the best shape, but again this place is cheap! There is not really room for a lot of housewares or furniture due to the shop's size but it's charming and fully stocked. I would absolutely return.

They would not work with us at all on timing the deliveries so Both times we are having to take off work to be there to sign because the route is "geographically routed" and "cannot be changed". So why did I pay $500 for a "flexible delivery" that is not flexible at all and is a bigger inconvenience then if they would have just let me pick it up. Awesome couch, horrible delivery service. Didn't receive half the order, waited patiently for several months but would only occasionally receive bogus updates that they is an open order on the account then no additional information. Finally after several more months had to reach out and took several weeks to track order down to find out that item was discontinued. Then the store refused to refund a credit that should have come with the order. So don't shop here unless you mean to spend hours going through the buying process to then spend months without getting any real updates to end up never actually getting your actual order. Or if it does come the quality of furniture is subpar. Not a good store.

I've never had any bad experiences with either my purchases or with the owners. The staff are friendly and understand that a person needs to wander around, so they don't bother you too much. I typically find items in Dean's that are in good condition and priced great. I've found some unique and unusual gifts too.
