We went here for lunch after a lovely drive in the hinterland, tip book ahead as this place gets very busy at lunchtime. I had the crumbed dory with salad and chips, great fresh taste and would recommend this for lunch if your near Mapleton. The views from the veranda add to your lunch experience overlooking the mountains and it's pretty spectacular. Lovely views here staff was pretty mediocre the food was disgusting. We ordered 5 meals my chicken parmy was just tomato sauce with no bacon on top and the cheese was unmelted and the chicken schnitzel was burnt . The other schnitzels and toppings at the table all had unmelted cheese my sons vegetables consisted of mashed potato and mashed pumpkin and mushy peas which looked so disgusting . Great views of the Sunshine Coast (I forgot pictures) Lunch with Mum and Dad was nice. Food and service was ordinary but expected of a Pub that has yet to emerge from the 90's. It is a quaint pub, not too far off the main Highway. Close to Montville which comes alive on weekends for the tourist and visitor attractions. read more
