Sheraton Noosa Resort & Spa

This hotel is no longer a Sheraton, it is known as the Sofitel Noosa Pacific Resort…read more Quite nice. Large quiet rooms and well-taken-care-of grounds. Haven't had the chance to check out the beach or pool yet, but hope to do so before I leave. Down sides? Takes a surprisingly long time to get anything approaching hot water in my 6th floor room's shower.

We didn't try the bar in the middle of the pool... because the friendly staff had upgraded us to a spacious 'lifestyle' room with a balcony hot tub.
Ocean Breeze Resort

Friends and I booked here since it was the least expensive two bedroom unit that was near the ocean…read moreand affordable. First of all, the front desk was staffed by what I consider to be the nicest woman in all of Australia. Talked to me like a human, and when we were leaving she let us leave our car in the garage as long as we needed so we could do some last-minute activities after checking out but before we had to head back home! Second, the facilities are tropical and very nice. A regular pool, wading pool, spa, tennis court, exercise room, lounge space... and all of one street from the ocean! Third, the room was literally insane. We thought we'd stepped into some kind of a reality show. Very modern furnishings, a polished concrete floor, master bedroom loft with a built-in couch, en-suite bath with beautiful tile work and a skylight, vaulted ceilings with windows at the top and shades for them, an en-suite bath for the first floor bedroom, washing machine, two (two!!!) small balconies with furniture on them, and a kitchen fully stocked with more than enough glassware and china. The room also had a small stereo system which sounded great! Very quiet, too. Only downside: our room was on the 3rd floor and there was no lift.

I had a few minor issues such as the water coming out of the " kettle" being cold and taking a shower is a challenge. It's difficult to shower in the main bathroom without bumping into the bath tap. The pool is amazing, stunning even although personally I found it a fraction too close to the restaurant. The buffet breakfast is decent but if you're looking to satisfy your sweet tooth with a pancake or 2 be prepared to wait in line while a machine cooks them. Dining in the restaurants is well worth the money you spend...contemporary food, decent prices and delicious. Staff are all friendly and accommodating and the spa treatment is a must.
The Hastings Beach Houses
This is easily the best place to stay when in Noosa. Very good value for the money, you're…read moretypically in a standalone house with your car parked right underneath you (no dragging everything through a parking garage and from one end of the property to the other), and the property is small enough that it's not a far walk to get to the street. As the other reviews have pointed out, these aren't brand-new buildings and some are partially remodeled, but none are uninhabitable and really, you are right across the street from one of the best beaches on the entire planet so you shouldn't be spending too much time on the property anyway. The bedrooms are comfortable, plenty of glasses and dishes in the kitchen, bathrooms that are plenty large, laundry machines for each unit, and a big deck. But like I said before, this place is right across the street from the beach, with plenty of restaurants, shopping, even a chemist right on Hastings. The staff is super friendly and happy to provide recommendations for things to do and where to hire sporting goods and whatnot, as well as extra towels.

It is walking distance to all the restaraunts, bars, and clothing stores and ice cream! :). In addition, it has apartments that you can rent out to have a beach front view or a view of hastings street. It has multiple pools on the property and jacuzzi. My favorite is the beach access, it is on the 1st floor and beach front is right there. you can also easily walk to tea-tree bay in 20 minutes. The staff is extremely helpful and attentive to your needs. They even let us check out a tad bit late. oops. haha. I highly recommend staying there. The amenities are luxuries and the bathroom is spotless and modern. Enjoy.

We were able to walk everywhere - so many amazing restaurants within a short stroll. And the property was everything we needed and more. We booked a place for our family to stay and my sister's family was in the unit next door. How cool that our patios were next to each other and still within steps of the pool!!! It was enough privacy to have our own space, but still the perfect shared environment. The property felt safe and secure - you need keys to enter or exit from every point, including the beach walk, which is just steps from the pool. They have a gym which is minimal but still good enough. The path along the beach was amazing to run along, with breathtaking views once you start going in toward the national forest. They keep tons of towels in the gym for you to swap at any time which is lovely. Also tons of books and a few puzzles. They also have a TON of shared beach gear in the garage for anyone to use. We loved the umbrellas and chairs for the beach. We added a rugby/football which we purchased while there. The rooms were immaculate. Our unit had a washer and they provided drying racks as well as soap etc. Everything we needed for the kitchen was there, too. I love the ginger smell of the shampoo/conditioner products. Honestly, it was all just so so great. Would go back again in a heartbeat!!

Private outdoor deck, clean room, modern furnishings, in room spa bath and rooftop spa. Could not fault it at all. Negative - No on site management and cheap electronic key cards = waiting for security for 20 mins so you can get in your room. Positive - The unit was at the back of the resort, so it was quiet and private. Negative - Had a long walk from reception with our luggage, only to encounter a gate that we needed a key for, which we hadn't been given. Positive - Our room overlooked a private pool, separate to the main pool where everyone else seemed to go. Negative - I doubt the private pool had ever been cleaned... I'd probably go back for a weekend. It was a nice room that was relatively reasonably priced. I wouldn't do more than a night or two there, and wouldn't stay if I was planning on taking advantage of the resort facilities.

The best thing is that this resort is adults only and the penthouse we booked for next year has the most awesome views. Bring on 2016.
