It takes real talent and lots of practice to just roll with everything throw at them and to be able to improv it all. This is defiantly a show for adults. They folks are awesome. So much fun and so much laughing. I can't wait for another. They have experienced actors and occasionally some new members. They take lots of from topics from the audience. They do serious scenes in which actors take turns doing a serious scene and whenever the audience laughs they get tapped out. They do a scene where everyone is a character and one actor that has bee out of the room has to guess them all at a party. They often end with "sex with me is like ...." And the audience gives out the ideas. This is hilarious.

It's a beautiful facility built into the middle school and they did a nice job. The seats and acoustics were good and I'd definitely go back. The middle school in Biddeford has a similarly beautiful but underused facility and it's nice to see the Westbrook Performing Arts Center being used for concerts. Tip: When you park, back into the space so it's easy to get out after the show.

We pet babies, we loved seeing the different birds. There were peacocks! It was fun, relaxing, cool in the shade. The food part is big enough to eat and relax. Ice cream was delicious. This is a special place... a farm on a hill with their own farm shop featuring glass-bottled milk, sandwiches, and most importantly... Ice Cream ! Starting mid-April or so, they open up "The Barnyard" which is a nice little petting zoo for the kids... and occasionally a "Goat Yoga" spot for adults... which is just so uniquely crazy it almost makes me wish I did yoga. Not into yoga...? I get you. Lucky for us, they also have a hardware store / lumber yard, so you could feasibly come for Mocha Chip and stay for the 4x4 milled posts, and that's not an experience you'll soon get at a national big-box lumber store. Or a Baskin Robbins, for that matter. This place is an experience. The farm is gorgeous, the staff are friendly, the animals are fun, the lumber yard is definitely there, and the product... well that's where it's at... it's excellent. There are a few working dairy farms like this one dotted around the state, and I encourage you to check out each and every one. Smiling Hill Farm is that extra special sort of place, where it's only a few miles drive outside of Portland, but it feels worlds away and it's so, so worth the effort to get to. They also have ready-to-go quarts in the freezer, their various dairy offerings, and rotating, seasonal farm shop fare. Support your local farmers! Also... I've found the local barn cats to be super friendly and just a treat to hang with. YMMV

I have seen "Avenue Q", "The Producers", "The Pirates of Penzance", and "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee". Each performance was great. And you can the performers put a ton dedication into each show. Convenient to Portland and a large parking lot are near by. This is great different thing to do around Portland. Check them out online and see what shows they have to offer!

Once in you can take an elevator or the stairs to the second floor for concessions and theater access. One can enter the theater from the second floor or venture up another flight of stairs for entry towards the top of the seating area as well. Volunteer staff was great today, very friendly and helpful. Can't speak of concession as they were not open for this event. Bathrooms available in the second floor as well. Not sure how I have missed this venue with all the time spent in Portland, but don't take as long as I have see what's upcoming and experience a great time at the theater!

Taken from Ms Pugh's autobiography, but with some poetic license by the wonderful Playwright, Wendy MacLeod, it recounts scenarios from Madelyn Pugh's perspective both in and out of the writer's office. Her role back then was NOT always as an equal, though she was equally as funny a writer as her male counterpart. It also hits on the dynamic between all the people involved in making that show a groundbreaking hit as well as the ultimate end of the show in 1957.

"Who's Holiday" - a show about a grown up Cindy Lou Who from the Grinch story. So, we all decided to check it out - making an evening of it with dinner beforehand at Front Room. Our experience was so lovely, we have already been back this year and saw "Popcorn Falls". This is a small community theater. It's not high tech, but it doesn't need to be. The shows are intimate with great actors. In addition, they have a small concession stand that sells beer, wine, cookies and other snacks. Tickets are reasonably priced and shows do sell out. Next time you hear about a new show at Good Theater that trips your trigger, don't just say - I should do that. Actually do it! Go see a show here!

On tap beer selection, wine and snacks available if desired. Unfortunately I am not local or I would definitely grab a membership to enjoy the front row tables and be a regular here. Street parking is available or short walk from some of the larger public lots as well. Walking distance to a number of local restaurants and bars to grab a bite prior to or after events. They also do fundraising Zumba nights and theme nights where people are encouraged to dress up. (Love those-rep to protect now) Avant and their dance groups love to help out nonprofits and be at events of all sorts. They love to give back.
