We started the evening with a beer and lobster rolls elsewhere, then arrived at your establishment around 2000 hrs. We paid $25 per person, per hour, and ordered four drinks for our group of four. About 20 minutes later, we attempted to order another round and were told we were cut off. We respect management's right to make those decisions -- no issue there. However, what didn't sit right was that the group next to us, who appeared far more impaired, was then offered "last call" by the same manager who told us the bar was closed. That inconsistency is hard to ignore. We're more than capable of paying for a full night out, but when a group of civil servants -- including military family -- comes in to unwind responsibly and is treated this way, it's disappointing. We wish your business the best, but we won't be returning. We'll also be sharing this experience with others so they can make informed decisions when visiting from out of town. Again, thank you for your service.... And your axes are junk!

There is no food allowed on the course itself. Food is available at the tables in the bar area. There are high top tables all around the golf course to put your drinks and purses on while you golf. Very handy. But, you need to remember to bring your drinks with you to the next hole. I may have forgotten mine once and twice and had to go back and get the drinks. When you start, you enter your group name, and each person in the group name. Sort of like when you go bowling. There are no paper cards/pencils to keep score...score is kept on screen monitors at each hole. You enter the number of puts at each hole for each person. The theme is sports, so all the Maine teams are represented, but also a few non sport holes like local legends like holy donuts. The length of the holes is much shorter than outdoor mini golf, but that doesn't mean they are easier. There are lots of obstacles at each hole. See photos. There are tons of big screens on the walls playing every sport you can think of, plus some trivia. We did not try the food because we were going out to dinner after. At the end you can keep the ball and if you bring it back you get $1 off the price of your next game. There is also a giant beer pong game near the bar that looks fund, in case you're waiting for the party in front of you to finish. The bathrooms are very clean. I will go again for sure. It is nice to have be able to play mini golf in winter.

The food was excellent. Bowling was a blast..... candle pin bowling is so much more difficult than it looks, though! About half way through our game, our lane experienced a fatal mechanical problem. This bowling alley is an historic gem and the machinery that runs the lanes is definitely "old school". Ownership was very accommodating and gave us a gift certificate to come back and bowl again another time. Our waitress never once checked on us--we had to flag her down every single time, which made ordering drinks and food a chore rather than a relaxing night out. But honestly, the worst part of the night wasn't even the service. It was the fact that a couple brought their newborn to the bar and stayed from 8 PM to midnight. With loud music blasting, they passed the baby around and parade it around on the dance floor, never feeding the child once, but had no problem changing it on the air hockey table. It was disturbing to watch, and frankly, it made the entire atmosphere uncomfortable. A bar is no place for a newborn, especially late at night in that kind of environment. The only saving grace of the night was the band, Trans Am--they were absolutely phenomenal. They put on a great performance, but unfortunately, the energy in the bar was completely off. Nobody was dancing or really engaging with the music, which was a shame because they deserved a much better crowd. If management allows this kind of thing to happen, I don't see myself coming back.
