Everything is well documented in the agreements that you sign. I'd say they are very up front and have great communication.

One time it was during winter when it was - outside and took hours for someone to contact me back to get someone to come fix it. Then my water heater exploded and I non stopped tried to get a hold of someone from maintenance to come fix it to the point my house apartment hallway and rooms where flooded with water. Then a ac pipe blew and also flooded my entire apartment. Now before moving I have so much water damage and I'm sure they are going to try and come after me for their apart malfunctions. They changed the roof about 4 months after I moved in and then we noticed cracking in the walls and the walls began to get mushy. I said something to maintenance and they told me it was just condensation cause it was cold outside your ceilings and walls should never drip water. This place will charge you 40.00 a light bulb. When moving out I asked them what kind of paint I get and the women told me we can not touch up walls they paint and now want to charge 500.00 per 4 walls mind you this has a out 20 walls about 3,000 to paint 20.00 per hole from a nail. 200 to clean a bathroom and so forth. We rented our home for 13 years, and left the home in great condition. However, they refuse to give our deposit back. I have all the paperwork/receipts and my quarterly inspections, which were always remarkable. Most issues we took care of ourselves without asking for maintenance or reimbursement. CPM has been managing my…read more4 unit apartment for a few years now and back in December 2022, just before the holidays, a pipe burst in the kitchen of one of my units while the tenant was on vacation. As soon as Jackie was alerted about the situation, her team sprang into action, was able to shut off the water to the unit, took pictures and assessed the damage, notified the tenant and me, and even helped with the clean up. There was significant damage to the kitchen and bathroom which needed to be replaced which was no small task. Several months later, Jackie and her team were still working hard on my unit, working with the insurance adjuster and making sure that restoration company that the insurance company had recommended did the repairs accurately and on-time and holding them accountable when they didn't do something correctly. Jackie is dependable, reliable, tough, a no nonsense type of PM who knows her market and the industry. As an out of state investor, it's important that you can rely on your PM to take care of your properties as if it was their own, and Jackie and her team at CPM is that PM who I would highly recommend.

This is my third year living in Cedarwood Apartments and I truly am a fan. I moved here as a single…read moremom of a teenager and although the buildings are older, they are clean and maintained perfectly. Whenever there is a problem, the maintenance man comes immediately to repair or replace whatever is needed at no expense to me. The location is convenient for shopping and banking with everything within walking distance. We are situated in a quiet, safe neighborhood near a college and retirement community. I love gardening and Cedarwood allows me to plant flowers around my patio to keep my thumb green. Our little dog has been welcomed in the pet friendly community where we have wonderful neighbors and a beautiful area to walk and relax in. Our manager is extremely professional, but also warm and helpful. My daughter and I will be sad as she graduates this year and we have to move from Cedarwood. We hope to find a similar community in her college town.
